My computer is kinda old, but still, I have never heard of a problem like that.
Everything works normal, until the moment I open a video/gif. When I do that, the monitor start flashing, and if I insist on playing, It will turn off and the monitor will show static.
I Can't find anything about that problem, and will will not be capable of buy another one for a while. What the hell do I do?
Its a cheap pc with 2ram, a intel dual core and a onboard videocard

Most flexible/cheapest way to DIY some security cams?

I'd like to be able to watch for delivery guys and see if anyone breaks into my car. Everywhere I see keeps saying to use old android phones, surely there is a better way?

Wat?

> surely there is a better way?
Yea, but a chinese one for $20-70 (over $70 is probably not worth it for the stated purpose now that you can even get one with two axis remote control)...
>>
>>56653404
If you want it to record in its own internal memory and you want it to stay on no matter what android phones is the way to go.

Otherwise buy some cheap chinese cameras, the resolution they advertise is correct but the FPS will always be lower.

Get some with PoE and buy a second hand PoE Network switch and a HP microserver G7 and with only like 400~500$ you can get a full Server + 3-6 cameras depending if you go 720p or 480p
>>
>>56653520
>Wat?
Seperate things. I'm in a duplex and if I have to sign for something or am getting pizza I can't hear the door. My car is around back but I've had it broken into before so I would want to monitor it.

Could a SBC like the RPi or ODroid handle motion detection and send notifications to my phone?

Is anyone pre-ordering one of these?

http://www3.lenovo.com/au/en/tablets/windows-tablets/ZZITZTWYB2F/p/ZZITZTWYB2F?ipromoID=auow_pub_rh3_yoga_windows#tab-customize

Of course the $399 price tag becomes $999 in Australia some how. Was hoping for at least 128gb or something more than an Atom.

Why? I never understood this. Why don't you let other people test the product before you buy it?

posting from one

I would definitely recommend, runs gentoo with no flaws, and it's still zippy in windows. Plus its just as indestructible as its IBM ancestors.

Only problem I've had with it has been replacing the cooling fan, which is easy to do on a t410
>>
I got a T520, works great with GNU/Linux. Win10 took a massive shit on performance for me, I hope its fixable (Probably not).

If I had to make a complaint, its the monitor display. It has some weird blue shade/tint for it? I don't know, I feel like I have to replace it 768p

yes. turns out the 'better sounding' audio is the lower quality one because no one actually _likes_ listening to flat production media

Yes, we know everything already is from China but in here we discuss the no/low-name cheap shit you see on Gearbest, AliExpress, eBay and similar sites.

Don't listen to this>>56653126 retard, MS has a pretty extensive privacy policy setup and it's very easy to avoid using the cloud or any cloud based services if you spend the time to disable them.

I use a 830 as my daily driver and the cross compatability it has with literally all of my devices is a godsend, and nothing on any other platform comes close to the live tile in terms of utility.
