Hi guys, i found this little bastard (Iphone 6s) on my way home yesterday night and i want to be able to use it. How do i do ?
>>56660856
Give it back Jamal
>>56660856
give the phone back jamal
if he phone is locked you can't do anything, if the battery is dead charge it and cross your fingers if doesn't have a pass code, if it does you don't have the equipment and knowledge to unlock it otherwise you wouldn't be asking
>>56660864
I can't since i don't know who's the owner. I need to bypass the code to unlock.
Anyone ever made a sleeper?
Incase that term isn't widely used outside the automotive world, it basically means it looks normal or old or crappy, but underneath it's loaded with expensive go fast bits.
>>56660845
I wish pic wasn't so expensive for a hunk of useless metal and plastic else I would make a sleeper on it with some mini ITX board and some watercooling.
Right now for it's price I can buy a really nice case so it's not worth the effort.
>>56660845
in car world you can see the hints like bigger wheels, lowered suspension, muffler..
in pc world that literally means use old dell workstation case
>>56660845
Honestly whats the point? Car wise, people see it and are surprised
Who the fuck is gonna come over and say 'haha wow anon shitty pc' and be blown away?
Can someone please explain what pic related means in day to day terms
If it's your job, wtf do you actually even do for 40 hours a week
If it's your job your job is maintaining the computers that do it.
Data mining is something computers do and if you 'data mine' you're maintaining the computers.
I have a bit of experience with web parsers, this is what I imagine it would look like:
check error reports on failed data minings
- parser errors
- network errors
- analytics errors
fix those errors, improve parsers, implement new parsers, research new format standards
there goes your 40 hours
>>56660777
>failed data minings
What is a "data mining" and what makes it a success or failure? Or do you mean systems failure?
What actual business cases do these people solve?
Seriously, Chromium is an open source browser, yet /g/ claims that it is a botnet? That's on another level of absurdity which is beyond me...
>>56660687
That being said: what's the difference between chrome and chromium and it's retarded brothers if you don't log into the browser? Is it still a botnet?
>inb4 omnibar sends search results to google
If it really is a botnet I might sacrifice the speed and extensions and go back to Safari...
>>56660687
Chromium isn't Chrome.
And Chromium's development is largely directed by Google staff. Stupid issues and annoyances open for years? Lol won't fix that, get used to it.
>>56660687
Are you retarded? Chromium still talks to Google's servers and sends your history. Open source doesn't mean shit.
trying to install Age of Empires on a linux machine. I have wine installed. PlayonLinux. Still can't run the install exe..
why don't you go to ubuntu's own forum instead of 4chan, you fucking nigger faggot

Will I ever be able to use linux with my GTX 960?
When I use Ubuntu there is massive screen-tearing.
When using Debian, after installing the drivers and rebooting, the desktop doesn't even show up.
What's the matter with Linux's drivers? Why are they so horrible?
Pic related: my debian after following the instructions on the nvidia page on the wiki.
>>56660569
Are you being serious? There is no way anyone with this card can run Linux properly?
>>56660552
Need to use the closed source nvidia drivers novaeou is shit
Let's talk about Manjaro!
I'm too stupid for using Arch but want to try something arch-based to see what all the fuzz is about.
>is it any good?
>is their philosophy holding packages really that terrible, as some people here claim?
>who is a daily user and wants to share his experience?
...
>>56660538
If the main thing you want is an easy way of installing and setting up arch, antergos might be more suitable, since as far as I know manjaro deviates more from the arch core. Ironically the installer (cnchi) can cause problems for some people but other than that it works as expected.
I went arch after being on antergos for a while and all I had learned was easily translatable.
Try MINT.

If war is the greatest source of invention, then should we train AIs by having them fight themselves?
>>56660277
Invention is driven by necessity.
War creates necessity, but it does steer inventions into certain direction. While leaving other areas of research entirely unexplored. It's better to pick the problems you want to solve yourself.
>>56660314
You can't engineer a situation in which the necessity for a certain area is needed.

> Adblock Plus finds the end-game of its business model: Selling ads
http://arstechnica.com/tech-policy/2016/09/adblock-plus-starts-selling-ads-but-only-acceptable-ones/
> Eyeo GmbH, the company that makes the popular Adblock Plus software, will today start selling the very thing many of its users hate—advertisements. Today, the company is launching a self-service platform to sell "pre-whitelisted" ads that meet its "acceptable ads" criteria. The new system will let online publishers drag and drop advertisements that meet Eyeo's expectations for size and labeling.
http://www.businesswire.com/news/home/20160913005531/en/Adblock-Enters-Ad-Tech-Launch-SSPAd-Platform
> "The Acceptable Ads Platform helps publishers who want to show an alternative, nonintrusive ad experience to users with ad blockers by providing them with a tool that lets them implement Acceptable Ads themselves,” said Till Faida, co-founder of Adblock Plus.
Well, I left this sinking ship a while ago. Last time I tried it after using uB0 it felt like a resource hog. Now it's also an adware.

If it helps direct the internet advetisising publishers towards static ad images then its not a bad thing imo
Still using uBlock origin though
