That's so you can comfortably use it as a tablet, and not have your fingers touching the screen, I guess.

I'm running Xubuntu on my sp3, works pretty well, I haven't booted windows in literally months.

Best way is to do your everyday tasks via terminal only, is there something you don't know how to do? Simply look it up on stackoverflow.

This. Also if you have a problem that there isn't a ready solution for, try to solve it on your own with bash. There's a really good set of scripting lessons on someone's wiki if someone can post the link.

Why do /g/ retards fight over which OS is better, and make these hate threads. Why are none of you already using your own operating system written from scratch?

What makes an encode good? "Good encodes" are filtered in avisynth and then encoded with whatever video encoder. The video source determines the visual quality, and filtering just masks the defects.

So assuming the same source and same encoder, what details make an encode better than another? Also which is better, vapoursynth or avisynth?

Who ready to get their facts checked by hundreds of news sources?

https://blog.google/topics/journalism-news/labeling-fact-check-articles-google-news/

>In the seven years since we started labeling types of articles in Google News (e.g., In-Depth, Opinion, Wikipedia), we’ve heard that many readers enjoy having easy access to a diverse range of content types. Earlier this year, we added a “Local Source” Tag to highlight local coverage of major stories. Today, we’re adding another new tag, “Fact check,” to help readers find fact checking in large news stories.

There is no real reason to continue using Windows. Only manchildren play video games and GNU/Linux can do everything else and more.

Hey /g/entlemen, guess what's just arrived in the mail! It's even more beautiful than the sellers pictures.

Even so, it still needs some upgrades.
I've found this SSD to replace the 40GB HDD: http://www.laptopsandspares.com/sony-vaio-vgn-ux280p-120gb-ssd
And this battery pack to replace the 2600mAh battery: http://www.laptop-battery-shop.com/sony-vgpbpl6-vgpbps6-74v-5200mah-original-batteries-p-3578.html?gclid=CPrh29Kl1s8CFeoW0wodgn8FKA&zenid=809e1bc106bff9a2d860aad57d4a25e4

Also I want to install a version of Linux that isnt intense at all. What would you recommend?

Also, UMPC thread
