What sculpted SA mods would look good with Pulse? I want to mix it up now and then so I'm looking for some mods. I wish there was a black mod option for Pulse I would have got that too.

Post your component list, rate other anons', ask questions in general.
Always state the purpose of your PC, your budget, AND YOUR COUNTRY if outside the USA. If you are asking for improvements, clarify whether you want to lower price, or improve specs or build quality.

is SSD raid worth it?
I have one extra Intel 730 and was debating on getting another for raid
Also my computer was basically born from this thread not long ago, what do you think?

Get a better monitor/TV first
Need 1080p 144Hz or 1440p
2TB HGST HDD
Also learn how to take a screenshot
>>57095907
Short answer, no.
Long answer, depends. Do you use programs that heavily rely on sequential reads?
My coworker is always doing overtime so he can buy a 4K TV.
4K is cheap. Maybe he's saving up for something else but lying to you.
>>57093536
Because its better than 1080p, because its not 3d, because its not VR, because its not AR.
>2016
>not having a glorious 4k tv
Because normies like watching stuff upscaled, instead of at native resolution.
It's the same reason people still buy fucking DVDs.

Other business laptops are also welcome in /tpg/ (e.g. Dell Latitude/Precision, HP EliteBook/ZBook).

If you're looking for purchase advice, READ THE BUYERS GUIDE FIRST. Then post, stating budget and requirements (e.g. size and performance).
Don't buy anything OTHER THAN T, X AND W/P SERIES if you want the Real ThinkPad Experience™
Recommended models:
T420 - 14", normal size
X220 - 12.5", ultraportable
----
Why ThinkPad? (also applies to other business laptops)
>Used machines are plentiful and cheap.
>Excellent keyboards - tactile feel and quiet.
>Great durability: chassis uses a magnesium rollcage for structural integrity, with high quality plastic body panels.
>Utilitarian design: e.g. indicator LEDs, 7 row keyboard layout on older models.
>Docking stations that easily turns your laptop into a desktop.
>Easy to repair, upgrade and maintain thanks to readily available service manuals for every model. Spare parts are easy and cheap to obtain.
>The best trackpoint (that red thing in the middle of the keyboard). Great for those who type a lot or hate swiping their fingers all over a touchpad.
>Excellent GNU/Linux & *BSD support.

What's the over-under on current generation Thinkpads, Elitebooks, and Latitudes?
I'm replacing my home office laptop this month and I'm contractually obligated by my clients to have professional support so I can't really buy anything else besides the above (or a mac *cringe*) lest I get into some legal trouble if my backups shit the bed.
Any thoughts? I'm a Java and Web (Node,React,Angular) consultant.

I'm trying to make an account for my child on my PC, but I don't want it to access my personal files. The PC is running W10.
I've tried making a new account, but it seems to have the same HDD access. I can't remember it being like this in Windows 7. Wat do?

Lets have a salary thread.
Inspired by the anon from Canada who posted about earning $144k a year as a (remote) systems engineer in California.
I think we should do these threads regularly because clearly some of us are getting a shit deal, we should ask for more from our Jew masters and give each tips on how to get bux.

If you dislike a suggestion, try giving a better suggestion to whomever asked instead of going "hurr, x sucks"

The Digimon Movie is retro. Talk about that for a change.

I know that feeling.
Why do frameworks even exist? And why so many to do the same thing, even?
Did people get too lazy to learn how to do stuff by hand like in the old days?

So I installed Arch, now I have no fucking clue on what to do with it.
I've currently connected my Arch laptop with my stereo set so I can use Spotify easily without the hassle of cables all the time.
What do you use your Linux / Arch install for?
>>57071819
Web browsing, Multimedia, Programming, Office
>>57073572
You really use Linux like that? Seems that you'd be fine using Windows and have more programs to use.
>>57074005
Linux is a lot better suited for programming, which is a priority for me since I'm currently studying computer science.
I have programs for everything that I want to do. Most are as good as their Windows counterparts, some are better, some are worse.
I like the customizability and lack of integrated spying functionality of Linux. Other than that, having a packet manager taking care of your software and updates is really comfortable, especially if you include the AUR.
