What should I be putting into my Trash email? What do you guys put into yours?
Do you put social media stuff in there, or voice chat stuff?
Please don't say >trash lol

My rejection emails
My IP apparently got b& because it's a proxy.
Does this happens a lot for people on dynamic IPs? or is Hiro trying to push 4Chan pass?
How many different emails do you guys have?
Do you have a Trash folder?
1. Many emails addresses but only one to check

2
One outlook and one Gmail because it was mandatory for YouTube.
I was using Hotmail before I switched to Outlook. So it's one for me.
Why do updates take so long? They never take this long on Linux. You dont have to restart on linux anymore either.
Because Windows 10 is a piece of shit.
they're trying to make you go outside and play instead of stting on your butt all day.
>>57111407
>You dont have to restart on linux anymore either.
>What is systemd?
You are wrong.
ITT: your dream laptop
>6" e-ink display with backlight
>GNU/Linux running on ARM
>designed for programming in CLI mode only
>fully featured keyboard with nav cluster, no touchpad or gimmicks
>no fans or moving parts
>1 week battery life
>>57111368
color e-ink with a refresh rate of 60hz would be insane
>>57111368
That and a nice wireless card that lets me on the cellular networks for cheap so I can have a machine that I can ssh into workstations from outside in the sun. Wouldn't mind a bigger screen at the cost of lower refresh rate though.
>Laser Scanning Display(Laser scans the image like a CRT)
>no native resolution
>no input lag
>500hz or more
>4k or higher
>high-end video cards on SLI like the GTX 1080 and some really strong CPU and shitloads of RAM
>3:2 display but can physically change to 4:3, 16:9, 16:10, 21:9 etc. using Samsung's prototype "transformable display"
>Laptop isn't heavy but it's light,small and well-built
>Battery lasts for 30 hours even while playing Crysis 3 at 8K@240fps
>Laptop never overheats and stays at cool temperatures at all times while making no fan noise whatsoever(whether this is achievable by Liquid Cooling or Voodoo Magic I don't give a shit)
Hello /g.
So I'm in the process of building a new HTPC/Steam Machine/RAID array that will be situated in my living room and I have been unable to decide whether or not I should bother using a discrete RAID card or if I should just rely on the RAID support built into a decent motherboard.
What do you guys think? Pros and cons? The server will primarily be for light home use as far as streaming files from the RAID. I intend it to be used as a Steam Machine for the living room, too.. but any games installed will be on an SSD.
Onboard RAID or discrete card? Pros and cons? Discuss.
>>57111360
What about muh software raid
>>57111372
Eeehhhhh, I'd rather avoid pure software RAID.. but if you can make a convincing case.
>>57111360
Advantages of software raid (I recommend ZFS) over hardware raid5:
- not susceptible to 'write hole' issue that hardware raid may experience
- If in 10 years your motherboard breaks, you might struggle to find the same model to recreate the RAID pool.
- ZFS is also a filesystem that does checksuming on every transaction
You know the type of container I'm talking about. I've been convinced containers are not a meme and I need to compartmentalize, either via VMs or via some stupid shit like this faggot whale.
Should I stick to VMs, or go down this rabbit hole? Is Docker good? I also heard about rkt but I know of nothing about either of them, or any alternatives.
The whale is yet another web dev meme.
>>57111300
> $15 billion dollar "meme"
okay
>>57111300
I should have clarified in the OP, I run a server with multiple services, and really do need to compartmentalize for security reasons. I'm not interested in the whole transportability shit, I really just need environment separation and would rather spare the resources of having a dedicated VM for each service.
Does fast wireless charging really degrade the battery faster or is it a bunch of unfunded bullshit?
>>57111229
Not counting the heat it's the exact same as wired charging for the battery.
Wireless charging means that whenever you put your phone on the pad it's going to be charging which means that there will be very frequent partial charge/discharge cycles which is usually bad for any battery. I don't what they have done to address this issue though, maybe they thought of something.
>>57111489
>there will be very frequent partial charge/discharge cycles which is usually bad for any battery
It's not bad for Li-ions because charge cycles aggregate.
So if you charge your phone 2% 50 times it is equivalent to one 100% charge in terms of the charge cycle limit before degradation takes place.
/g/ What is the best non persistent OS to keep in a handy USB?
Lets talk about that watermark.

I selected Spanish on my first boot. Windows now has everything in Spanish.
Can't change it because of Single Language.
If I reinstall windows (recovery CD), will I be able to select English?

How much less is a bachelor of arts considered vs a bachelor of science? One of the colleges I'm looking at only offers a BA in Computer Science and I'm wondering if I should even bother applying.
>>57111060
CS degrees are shit anyway
>>57111070
What do you suggest I go for then?
>>57111060
>how much less
It's not. Employers and academia care that you have a degree, not which degree. (within reason of course, you won't find work as a lawyer with a degree in accounting...)
Your subject choices and performance, along with how you present yourself are the thing.
Any fags got a deb of this specific version anywhere?
Pic unrelated
>>57110951
It's a Windows program, so no.
It should run fine under Wine though (apt-get install wine).
But really, try out Qbittorrent, it's a similar interface.
rtorrent+rutorrent.
god-tier
why the fuck would you use that these days
>hes not running ubuntus LTS
>>57110950
No one likes you krillin.
Because I'm running Windows 10 LTS actually.

nobody likes you coalburner either.

>Phones getting 6gb of memory now
>S8 will likely have that much
>Jew app developers are gonna bloat their apps even more now
Dear autist hipster developers:
6GB is good enough for another 4 years. 1 Trump term. In fact, fuck you guys because 2GB was supposed to be plenty and more than enough and now it's bare minimum. Unless you're gonna port desktop applications, or have full featured games, there is no reason to add useless battery draining ram eating features on your USELESS fucking app that can run on a web browser at 1/10th the power usage.
pic related, it could run facebook and play videos on 128mb.
>>57110853
my current (poorfag) laptop only has 4gb memory..
My phone has 1 gig of ram and I can run full-featured versions of MS Word, Excel, and Powerpoint
>>57110853
It's sad that elegant and efficient programming is no longer valued.
I blame the pajeets.
Did anyone know a method to access this type of account ? It's hard to do ?

Do you have any method ?
Never done it before
