With ads taking up the overhead space, driving people who didn't want to block ads on 4Chan before driving them to remove these disgusting obstructions to our lurking. No doubt that this is probably generating a lot or at least enough money for Hiro to keep this going. We have a major budget issue here, but come on can we have some decency?
If we had to get rid of these ads, leaving the quite more tasteful banner ads. What are some ideas to generate income or decrease spending on running this site?

Can you get me updated on enterprise Java?
I had an interview today and I muttered about something about what I learned about J2EE in the college a couple of years ago, stuttered about them dem tiers, EJB and RMI but the interviewer stood pretty unimpressed and told me I have the programming prowess but lack the knowledge about the architecture.
In the end he was very mildly positive about my performance but told me I have A LOT to learn if I want to succeed in the job if they offer me the job (up to HR and higher mgmt). So please /g/, pimp up my Enterprise Java knowledge!

As for the language itself, Java 8 did bring some cool stuff to the table. Lightweight containers + Docker was cool a few months ago. Wildfly Swarm (micro-services) is all the rage these days.
