I just paid 350 britbongs for an i7 4770 & 980ti rig.

Average computer user here. I finally understand why /g/ hates windows first hand.

I lost all my employee clock-in/out data for today.
I have decided to migrate our roster system to GNU/Linux.

Should we call Redhat or SUSE for our solution? I am sick and tired of our system _crashing_ and _rebooting_ every month.

I got this headphone amp (I realize there are headphones amps out there specifically for use with guitars and I may have been better off getting one of those, but I knew of this amp already and planned on using it as a regular headphone amp as well) for use with my bass.

When I plug everything in though, there's no sound through my headphones. I've googled the problem and the results are either talking about guitar specific headphones amps or just people saying they've done it and it works without any more details.

Is there something I could be doing wrong or is this just not going to work?

How internet has destroyed my life:

>1. Be a kid in a little village in the middle of nowhere. Go online in the late 90s and pretend to be a 21 years old guy. Make my own website, make friends with all kinds of cool people (nerds) on IRC, get free games to review them in my online website pretending im old, etc. Suddenly I don't feel alone, I feel surrounded by geniuses.

>2. Get interested in many topics. Start swallowing information non-stop.

>3. Once I notice it the internet as gone to shit. Everything is mainstream, cookies, Facebook... the quality of the debate goes down. Literally idiots throwing bullshit everywhere.

>4. Now I can't visit mainstream websites because I get angry at the comments or even the news. Start to feel alone again, thinking about banning all news from entering my mind except a couple blogs and some bitcoin news.

I feel alone online. The online world is cold and shitty. I have been over-exposed to everything, including females, due to the internet. I am suffering pos-traumatic stress or PTS symptoms.
I felt safe and loved online, but now I see it as a battleground full of idiots. It doesn't feel warm.

It has fucked me seriously.
I know that playing videogames is healthier for me because I release good feeling hormones and stress.

I don't believe in democracy just because of the low level of information than most people have, and the lack of logic skills that they show.

I'm going back to loneliness. I will only follow the books feed out of KurzweilAI, the Agingsciences blog by Vince Giuliano, the coins market and IQs corner.

I am going back to the early 90s.

I know most of you are fucked too, or will be. Share your stories.

1440p IPS Gsync Monitors

Wait to see what 2017 has to offer or buy?

I had an Asus Pg279q for 6 months but I'm returning it due to a manufacturing fault that developed. I had to send 3 back until I had one with acceptable backlight bleed and it's a shame I have to send this back.

So what do I do /g/
*Rebuy Pg279q when price goes down (it's higher than when I bought it)

*Buy a Dell s2716dg TN 144hz Gsync, with a Dell IPS 60Hz for a dual monitor setup

*Wait for what 2017 has to offer (nothing a t CES was that impressive though)

This year is when the better 4k monitors are set to be launched.
Ive had my PG278q for a while and not had an issue with it. I got it mainly as a stop gap until they give us some half decent 4k screens

This is my thinly veiled request for your general consensus on good value mp3 players. Having looked through a few players, they all seem decent, but I feel like I will leave that one to people more experienced. I'd like to have something that looks pretty decent with good battery life. That's about the extent of my desires, go wild with sound quality if you want.

I have the one in the pic. Tttery lasts me around a week and the navigation is decent. The build quality is great though. I've dropped it on concrete multiple times and nothing broke or dented and it still works fine.
