For once, an update will actually improve the performance of the devices, thanks to the new filesystem. I may just install this on my old iPhone 5 laying around to see what happens.

Why are laptop fingerprint readers still so shitty?
Fingerprint scanners on smartphones have come on leaps and bounds over the last five years. Even my cheap-ass Xiaomi that cost me $120 has a superb fingerprint reader that is pretty much instant when you touch it, and has a very low error rate.
Yet on every business laptop the fingerprint reader is this same 90s piece of crap that you have to physiclaly swipe your finger over about twenty times before it eventually recognises you.
Why is this allowed?
test
Fingerprints as authentication is absolutely retarded in the first place. It's basically a password that can't be changed, revoked, hashed, is shared between every account that uses it, and you inadvertently write down whenever you touch a flat surface.
If the readers are shitty means that less people use it then it's a win-win as far as I'm concerned.
My MacBook Pro does not have the problem you speak of.
>tfw you realize the reCaptcha has been training artificial intelligence to identify things in the real world
It doesn't even work anymore, plenty of bots can bypass it.

Anyone set up their own VPN on their own server?
Would you encounter any issues doing this on DigitalOcean or a similar provider?
> Would you encounter any issues doing this on DigitalOcean or a similar provider?
Aside from the fact they will happily give over your information if compelled to, no issues.

why would you do this other than bragging rights?
All your browsing data is stored on a server that is linked to you.
It's better to just pay for a vpn.
So how does /g/ feel about the Republicunts voting to continue to allow ISPs to sell your browser history?
They voted to repeal a law that wasn't in effect yet and run it through the FTC instead of the FCC
How's that MSM dick taste OP? Swallow it all up like a good boy.

So this just happened, I accidentally broke my screen. I bought it 6 months ago and got all reciepts/boxes etc. Is there anyway I can engineer a replacement out of this? I mean its pretty obvious somethings hit it.
It's an acer gn24 or some shit and I got it from currys in the UK.

>A thread died for this shit
It's a better, more durable connector. When it isn't wired for USB 2.0 like most phone manufacturers seem to insist on doing it can do a lot of cool things.
I understand why mid and higher end cards no longer support VGA at all but surely there will still be VGA-only monitors around for a while.
Why completely do away with support for the standard even on the lower-end cards?
>>59641804
buy a real monitor grandpa
better still, get euthanized boomer scum
>>59641804
VGA should be kept around as a legacy device for testing equipment etc
>>59641804
Because vga is shit and you can run a adaptor from dvi to vga if you need to.
