stop peeking at other peoples code your perv.
I need examples of life-changing technology after 2010. Nothing that hasn't been invented yet like driverless cars. Nothing that is just a product getting smaller/faster unless it's on the proportion of Gmail storage space or Google Fiber. Basically I want stuff that directly affects the way I live life, like smartphones or Wikipedia, but after 2010.

Would it make you feel better if I argue there was no life-changing technology invented after 2010? Burden of proof is now on you.

Nah, he's just a dedicated clickbait channel. Everything he does is for views. He's been exploiting Ryzen's launch for everything it's worth, including refusing to review the R7 1700 to avoid the "drama" surrounding it, then going on Twitter to whine that he wasn't sent a free 1800X by AMD.

Hi,
my cpu is getting very hot (95-100°C) while playing Overwatch. Now i checked if the heatsink was mounted properly and im not 100% sure but i think i did it right. Ive had this pc for around 5 years now so my question is, is used up thermal paste really gonna cause my cpu to heat up like that? Or is it almost necessary for the heatsink to be mounted wrong when it reaches that temperature? Ive got an i5 3570k with the stock cooler. Thanks.
Wtf, my MacBook Pro doesn't reach 100º
You are doing something wrong, probably bad mounted cooler
>>59636987
Does the fan spin?
>yes
Is the cooler clogged with dust?
>no
Have you just overclocked the bejesus out of it
>what's overclocking?
Just change the damn paste
>stock cooler
A $30 cooler will be a vast improvement and will be a good opportunity to reapply your thermal paste
ITS HAPPENING!!

WTF?
4:3 is literally perfection for a phone since nobody actually watches videos on their phone and it'd be great for productivity like reading emails and books.

How long does your /g/entoo install take? I'd love to try this meme but worried about the install time.
On a Pentium 4 it took me about 5 hours till X.
>>59636757
Don't do it man. It really is a horrible, frustrating meme. Install Debian, you can customize it and make it as lightweight as you want.
Install time is a few hours iirc, because you have to compile everything.. The benefits you get for putting up with this shit is nonexistant.

If you just want a fancy kernel config you can do that on any other distro. Any distro will have the kernel sources or if not, you can just download from the website.

>The Senate and House have voted to repeal an FCC ruling that protects your Internet privacy and data from ISPs.
>In a party-line vote, House Republicans freed Internet service providers such as Verizon, AT&T and Comcast of protections approved just last year that had sought to limit what companies could do with information such as customer browsing habits, app usage history, location data and Social Security numbers. The rules also had required providers to strengthen safeguards for customer data against hackers and thieves.

They have always been able to do that. The fact that you didn't even know this shows how little the issue actually means to you and that you're clearly only jumping on the bandwagon so you can shit-talk the opposing political party.

Been out of the desktop game for awhile, but right now I'm running an overclocked g3258 that just kinda gets the job done.
I'm wondering if it would be dumb to get a 4690k for ~190$ to fit in my existing 1150 motherboard, or will it be really worth my while to upgrade my mobo and pay more for a kaby chip?
You do realize AMD isn't shit anymore, right?
>>59636561
> AMD isn't shit anymore
True, but unlocked i5 is still a lot.
Meanwhile, you're suggesting to pump some money into a new motherboard, CPU and a high clocked RAM, what for?
>>59636538
Wait for R5 Ryzen, that may lower the prices for a 4690K on ebay.
> kaby chip
Nope, not worth it.
>>59636538
You should buy a used 4770K or 4790K - i5s are a meme and you'll be left wanting to upgrade again six months from now.
