oh boy...a dedicated card for bitniggers
>The first and most important information is that there at least two SKUs for miners being prepared by NVIDIA. Allegedly there’s a GP104-100 card in the making, based on GTX 1080/1070 design. We don’t know yet how many CUDA cores are enabled, but since GP104-100 is said to be paired with GDDR5X memory it may as well be GTX 1080. These cards are said to be more efficient than normal GeForce cards in cryptocurrency mining (~30 to ~10% depending on SKU).
>>60898903
>30% more mining performance
So, it'll finally match a 5 year old AMD GPU at mining then?
Good to know nVidia are helplessly trying to hop on the cryptowagon. If only to see them fail helplessly at it.
>>60898903
>3 months warranty
is it cheaper?
>>60898903

Should I buy this phon
>>60898841
what can that phone do that a $250 moto g5 plus can't?
>>60898847
Have a reasonable amount of storage and fit in my hand
>>60898861
>reasonable amount of storage
the g5 plus has expandable storage up to 128gb. If you get the 64gb variant, that's a total of 192gb.
>fit in my hand
if you can't fit a fucking 5.2" phone in your hand then you're a manlet.
So I'm starting up a new discord bot, and I'm fairly new to it all. I'm using discord.js as the library, and it certainly contains most of the tools I need to make what I want.
The issue is that I want to implement a database that can track user stats and such. I've thought about using the Collection/Map classes to have each user ID act as a key to an array that saves this data, but I need somewhere to save/load this data since as far as I'm aware the database wipes every time I restart the code.
Is there a efficient write/read system for doing this in javascript? Would it work well if I put my bot on a dedicated server?

You have to go back.
Let's talk CPU Overclocking.
Is there a reason to Overclock at all for gaming specifically? Would gaming see any noticeable performance increase from a CPU overclock on a processor that's a 6600K or higher? I'd assume it'd be noticeable on things like applications that involve editing, media, etc, right?
softh oc is ok y can increase performance in 20% no isues;
hard oc well if you are tinking in buy new pc and want to use actuall untill it burn
>>60898524
A performance increase on a cpu applies to any application which uses the cpu. Overclocking will increase performance on everything.
Always overclock. Even if you want to stay at stock voltage an extra .2ghz is worth it.

No
So when do you reckon the display of the gods shall rise again? Her superior colors, black levels, and response times are much missed as we've been chained to the oppressive yoke of monitors and TVs with awful contrast and smear trails everywhere.

about when horse carriages will replace cars again.
Reminder that CRTs
- also have blur because of the phosphor
- have shit colors and geometry problems
- flicker
- CRT TVs make a high pitched noise

Why do you still program, /g/?
I'm not successful.
>>60898314
not successful yet
hopefully in a couple year, currently grinding out my 4th year at this job on a cool project that involves spark/stats
I hope it'll leave me in a enough good position that I can just kind of not care
>>60898314
obviously I'm not successful.
>pick up a language to learn and understand
>read up on various algorithms, implement them
>fizzbuzz and calculator and shieet
>everything up to pointers is just fine and dandy
>pointers
>close the book and watch anime
>repeat above steps a month later
Why the fuck are pointers so damn confusing ? Are my pajeet genes acting up or something ? Should I pick up webdev ?
>>60898267
the program memory is like a tape
every cell in the tape has an offset counted from the beginning
pointers store these offsets
so you can have a cell that stores "5" and if you have a pointer to that cell it merely stores the offset where that cell can be found
they're useful if you don't want to copy over entire structs that you take as function arguments, for example
>>60898340
That would be the textbook definition. Why should I use them, instead of , references ? Are pointers and references same thing ? Are they merely there to confuse people
>>60898374
Use pointers for when you can't move the object itself (too large, too complex), so you decide to move his address instead.

Having learned programming it in c89 actually helped me when I had to program microprocessor stuff that only supported c89.
MSVC is a c++ compiler as far as I know. So it only does borked c.
