ur mom
Crystal
what about this don't you understand?
>>60899222
Why something with the latest features isn't recommended.
>>60899300
less adoption and possible performance issues/bugs
>>60898717
Can someone give me low down on node.js? is just new javascript framework or something? I have seen it everywhere, how does it compare to json, or is that apples to oranges?

>v6.11.0 LTS
LTS stands for long-term support
ie it will receive updates for longer than other versions
>>60899341
it is a runtime that lets you run javascript code outside a web browser

what is stability?

Install LTS and you can forget about updating it for like half a year or so. Install the latest version of you want potential headaches. Install the bleeding edge nightly release if you want guaranteed headaches.
You don't really need to install the latest version because you won't find latest features in the code you copy paste.

I believe the LTS version uses older version of V8 which doesn't include the new JS execution pipeline

that would make it slower than the up-to-date version

I read the Node 8 performance is much better than 6, but it will break many packages especially gulp packages since it's very new
