What model is it? You can probably find a teardown guide on YouTube. Some laptops have a spare set of antenna for a 3g/4g modem that you could use in place of the wifi antenna. They have the same connectors. Do you see anything like that in there?

No welding equipment. I did use correct bit but the head was already little damaged so that was the result. I did manage to get the bolt out, bought vise grips and grabbed the extractor with that.

I'm getting into precision work now and realizing that the tables on those things are nowhere close to straight. I think I'm going to eventually make my own micro drill press.

Not only a bunch of random sized clamps, but you can never have too many. In smallish and larger sizes. I say skip the midsized ones. I've never said my 24" clamps are just right.

Really you'll have to improvise a mount and other than that you should be fine other than viewing angles might be an issue

Pop the cover off and there is a vesa mount holes behind it.

Buy something like pic related, and mount it in portrait.

If you are planning to have a dual screen setup with the old and the new, you can buy desk vesa mounts like pic related with 2 arms.

All the cheap ones are from the same exact factory so just find them as cheap as you can.

I don't know about that particular model but most dishwashers run the motor in one direction to wash the dishes and reverse the motor to drain.

Is the motor running when it should be draining?

Also, I've seen a couple of cases where the check-valve in the drain hose was clogged causing it to not drain.

The solenoid operates to allow water in. It should not operate when draining.

If you hit rebar, you'll be dead in the water unless you use a rebar-cutting concrete drill bit. Or you might be hitting a steel bar.

I'm also assuming that you drilled partially into the concrete. If not, then ideally, you would use your smallest drill bit and progressively increase drill bit size.

You need a concrete drill bit with a brazed carbide tip, regular drill bits will just die.

What format is the CD? Are you going to store movie files on a data CD, or are you from Asia and love your video CD format?

In either case, you buy a video capture card or device that can input composite (or S-Video if you VHS player supports it) signals. They cost about $20-30.

think previous anon was prob. thinking more of mobile phone frequencies. These were definitely auctioned.

Some of the old TV frequencies are used for DAB radio, but otherwise, in principle, you right enough, lot of previous analogue TV broadcast frequencies are unused - Bongoland, you can actually use these (license free) if device automatically avoids intereference with existing users, or you can apply for a manually configured license. MS and all sorts of people were doing WiFi trials in this space, dunno how that ended. aka white spaces, see:

That just UK tho, who strangely I think are the only country who allow 'free' (or at least non-licensed) usage (its not like them) - AUS, heard they are pretty harsh with pirate radio and stuff, using a frequency for whatever would be exactly same principle, stress if busted.
