They do make "antique" LED bulbs, pic related. For some reason they are called LED COB bulbs; I dunno why exactly. Search for "vintage led cob bulb" and they show up.

They look kinda-sorta like the filament bulbs, but the LED ones only have short straight sections of fake-LED-filament. You can't get the long curvy filaments that you see in the real incandescent antique-style bulbs. The LED ones are also not the same color.

The main advantage of the LED COB ones is that the bulb envelopes come in different shapes that the incan ones don't come in.

You could look for a compatible conduit to piggyback off of. My apartment had an old TV feed from the rooftop antenna embedded in a solid concrete wall. It had already been cut and a cable TV line run in its place, so I ripped out the last remnant of the old cable and ran cat5e in its place. You can get dual-port faceplates for coaxial and RJ45, so you don't actually need to make any holes in your walls.

What is ceiling like on the floor below? If you can access the ceiling space of the lower floor, you an drill up from below and then you only need a tiny hole which you can fish the cable through.

got bright red cat5 running corner of a room downstairs/up, through ceiling- was temporary, then room got painted anyway, cable got painted over - can more or less no longer see desu, unless you know its there.

Lot less hassle than your pic related, depends on your autism scale.

Ausfag here. My adsl2+ has slowed to the point where I can no longer watch Netflix (fuck you Telstra). Enter Kodi with the Exodus add-on. Now I can download overnight and watch when I want. Have it runnin on PC, android phone, tv box and macbook. will probably also load it on the ipad via the macbook.

Fucking awesome.

Poly's a bit of a shit to fix, most common epoxy's will go 'no' and that just leaves plastic welding which is actually a bit tricky if you've not done any before.
Basically- get something like a HDPE bucket, chop out a big area for a patch
Get the blowtorch out and you'll need to heat the plastic tank very quickly, keep the torch moving and don't stop in any one spot... ever.
Once its a bit tacky, put the patch over it and then as above- melt the sides of the patch very quickly and it'll eventually stick there.
After that, assuming nothings on fire or you're not covered in molten plastic, get an old shitty spoon or butter knife, heat it up and smooth over the edges of the patch with the tank so its watertight.

Also
Wear gloves, molten plastic will burn to the bone.

The stereo part was easy to get, but i can't figure out a way to mix the sound from both channels to the subwoofer output without mixing them on the stereo outputs as well.

But I was going to update the thread and say that I connected an NPN transistor to the pads. I connected the collector to the ground pad, the base pad to the pin on the NodeMCU, and the emitter to the actual pad that presses the button on the controller.

Should I be using a PNP transistor for this? I've tried a 2N2222 and a BC547 NPN transistor and they do nothing.

I've even flipped the emitter and collector on both pads and nothing changes.

Is the trace that goes around to all the buttons +V or is it ground? If it's ground, the NPN emitters goes there. If it's +V, the PNP emitter goes there.

What voltage does the NodeMCU put out? You probably want a 1-10k to the base anyway.

meh.....very sharp knife, very fine sandpaper, scrap and sand the horn keeping the shavings and sanding dust in a pile. Tape the inside hole; mix clear 2 part epoxy with shavings and sanding dust and jamb into the hole. Scrape and sand again. Wrap a leather band around where the hole is and wala toenail tasting drinking vessel.

Jb weld or epoxy and then paint it over with the same color as the horn.

Lowes can match the color for you, and if you know how to jb weld right, it would hardly be noticeable and still hold water.
