Kindly request a bump or two. In return,l I give you Kaine.
>>90627897
But this is some of the worst Kaine. Also I don't consider this part of Slott's "Epic" since he kind of just passed him off to whoever wanted him until he needed him for Superior.
>>90627897
bump
minimum carnage was awful tho friendo
I have such a boner for this look for Venom
Yo, I have a question. Why do people hate the Alpha arc so much? It's only two issues, and he has the same character traits (being a cocky dickhead) as one of /co/'s most beloved characters, Midnighter.
>>90629032
Got to love how he uses a gun at every possible opportunity.
Now on to Venom!
>>90628905
Eh, Minimum Carnage had it's moments. I loved how Enigma Force was getting some spotlight and the action was nice.
FUCKING CALLED IT!!!!
Unrelated to this thread, do you guys happen to have one particular videogame that you revisit at least once a year? I just had the realization I've played this one game on and off for 15 years. The game is Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast
>>90630357
Shalvey is my all time fave for symbiotes.
>>90630357Kingdom Hearts
And I mean the original release for PS2, not any of those fancy pants remixes or .5s or what have you.
I know a lot of people dislike minimum carnage, but it starred my two favorite characters fighting Carnage. I couldn't help but like it.
>>90630842
It was an intro into recent marvel for me a couple years back when I was first getting into comics.
Plus as I mentioned before, Shalvey is my favorite.
When I was younger I had a paperback novel called Carnage in New York. It did a decent job of making Carnage seem like an otherworldly terror that was in a category all his own.
>>90630808
Absofuckinglutely. Also Shalvey is just amazing in general.
>>90630811I owned that game and it was fucking stellar. I had never played a game with a more unique combat system and boss fights. Taking on Cloud in the Hercules world was godlike. Trouncing Riku twice over in Hallow Bastion was amazing. And the multi-tiered Ansem fight constantly kept things interesting while incorporating past gameplay elements (flying!!!!)
>>90630842
You...I like you.
>>90630357
>I'm no Jedi, I'm just a guy with a lightsaber and a few questions
We miss you, Kyle :(
>>90631168
>Never trust a bartender with bad grammar.
>>90629283
you would think he would carry a gun with him. He is in Texas
>>90631606
Naw, that's only that parts of Texas that don't have a building over 5 floors nearby.
Most of the cities are liberal.
>>90629123
Oh kaine
>>90628999
Tongue severings are always a nice bit of violence
>>90632197
while this is true, I think by now we should all know that no good comes from cutting off Venom's tongue, nor does it come from keeping that tongue.
>He's trying to kill god.
Ambitious
>You okay?
>I am dying.
>...beyond that, you okay?
Kaine, you're too good for this world.
Carnage looks way too stoked to be there.
minimum bump
>>90633753
=D
Also Shalvey does all the interiors!!!
>>90633234
>that last panel
I'd totally read a Venom and Carnage buddy buddy series in the same vein as Spider-Man and Deadpool
Shiiiiiiiiiiiit
How is Kasady able to survive getting his face torn off/blown off (Axis Carnage) and literally grow himself back whatever he lost? I know the symbiote offers a whole host of powers but this is just insane
>>90635121
I know the symbiote has bonded to his bloodstream but if that's the case then it should be impossible to separate him from the symbiote and I'm pretty sure I've seen kasady sans symbiote before
>>90635121
>How is Kasady able to survive getting his face torn off/blown off (Axis Carnage) and literally grow himself back whatever he lost?
Something about how it's in his blood.
That's also why he can travel through the internet. Was the internet thing ever retconned?
>>90635121
the symbiote bonded with him at a cellular level and his bond is the best if you think flash and venom have a good relationship Kasady and carnage are in the best relationship ever
And now the finale to Minimum Carnage!
>>90630357
Mvc2. We need more X-men games.
>>90640277
>We need more X-men games.
Ain't that the truth. Only one's I know of are X-Men Legends 1 & 2 and X-Men Origins Wolverine (all of which are developed by Raven Software, the developers of Jedi Outcast which I think is a testament to their versatility and quality control). Also they developed Marvel Ultimate Alliance...need I say more?
The fact that Flash is pussing out right here is some of the worst writing I've ever seen. This man literally ate someone. He kinda lost the right to take the moral high road. Also I'm pretty sure he went right back to employing lethal force after this which means that he was written like this simply for the sake of story.
>>90640945
X-Men Children of the Atom. Check it out.
>...But Carnage is more dangerous than ever.
Boooooooooo
>>90641037
I'm convinced these psychos like him have some kind of secondary power that makes people around them get some kind of moral that prevents them from actually ending the problem
>>90641198I'm almost positive this amounted to nothing in the endnext time he shows up is in the superior story right?
>>90641198
I don't think this ending ever amounted to anything, next thing I remember Carnage is hale and hearty during AXIS.
>>90641888
I'd be willing to do Superior Carnage a little bit later.
Switching to Superior SPider-Man for the 2099 arc. Afterward I think I'll go back to Venom.
I want to revise my prior Spider-Costume list.
1. 1st Superior Spider-Suit
2. 1st 2099 Suit
3. Classic Black Suit
4. Classic Red and Blue
5. Scarlet Spider (Kaine)
6. 2nd Superior Costume
7. Ben Reilly SPider-Man
8. Scarlet Spider (Ben Reilly)
9. Classic Red and Black
10. 2nd 2099 Suit
11. Iron SPider
Ugggggg they just period dated this story. That makes me unhappy. Why couldn't they just say early 21st century?
>I know this is a petty thing to complain about but when the series is at the mercy of a sliding timeline, it pisses me off. Part of the reason why I loved Hellblazer as much as I did. He aged in realtime (for the most part). I'm pretty sure he got into his mid forties by the end of the series although he looked younger because of his physiology.
>Hmm. Not quite in the spirit of things, is it?
FUCK OFF MAX! Pete tried to win and succeeded in getting a home run (a feat a "physical weakling" like Peter should relish in) and you're saying that's not in the spirit of things? Eat a snatch, Max. I swear every single time I see your smug face you're either bitching about something or throwing some snide comment someone's way.>Inb4 someone says homophobe
Again, eat shit Max. You made your bed with those decisions.
That second panel. That is not the face of a happy Goblin.
I'm normally not even a fan of the 2nd Superior costume and even I'm in awe of how good it looks on this page.
>>90642325
No love for FF?
I can see why Harry wants nothing to do with you. I wouldn't either.
Not going to lie, I'd punch his smug face too. ANyone that ever says you can't lay a finger on me seriously needs a reality check.
>>90643436
Totally spaced on that one.
1. 1st Superior Spider-Suit
2. 1st 2099 Suit
3. Classic Black Suit
4. Classic Red and Blue
5. Scarlet Spider (Kaine)
6. 2nd Superior Costume
7. Future Foundation Costume
8. Captain Universe Spider-Man with beard
9. Ben Reilly SPider-Man
10. Scarlet Spider (Ben Reilly)
11. Classic Red and Black
12. 2nd 2099 Suit
13. Iron SPider
14. The AMazing Bag Man
How did this not snap that kid's neck?
HA!
As embarrassing as it is to admit, I didn't even notice the Peter panels on the bottom the first go around until I did a double take.
I assume the hovering nature of the chair makes it significantly lighter, otherwise I wouldn't ever fuck with Stone.
Peeps reading along?
So awesome to know that Slott actually planned ahead for what happened during this time Spock was away.
As always, eat shit Max.
>I'm running very low on trust right now.
Says the man that endangered all of his employees by employing a fucking vampire that very clearly could not be kept in check. Hope you die of diabetes you fat bastard.
>>90641189
AWWWW SNAP! I love me some fighting games.
Apparently I was supposed to have done these Venom issues waaaaaayyy sooner than I did so we're going to detour and finish Venom before we get to the Superior Venom arc (which is coming up very soon).
>>90646355
That's pretty fucking terrifying.
>>90642489
Slott must have been the only one still referring to this period as the Heroic Age when this issue came out.
>>90647007
I'm totally getting a Grundel vibe. He was a monster on extreme ghostbusters.
http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x3lsn6m
>>90647082
When would you say the Heroic Age ended? I'm thinking the end of Avengers vs. X-Men.
>>90641037
This makes perfect sense. Carnage USA happened before this.
In that, Flash was about to kill Cletus when he temporarily weakened him, but Spider-Man yelled out at him to stop, which caused him to hesitate since he looked up to Spider-Man, allowing Cletus to regain his strength and start fighting again.
In the end when Flash brought a defeated Cletus to Captain America, he said: "I couldn't kill him sir. Not when I'd have to answer to Spider-Man. I know it's silly, but I'm kind of a fan"
>>90647419
I'd say it almost makes less sense. Flash has watched literally the same thing keep repeating like this, he's watched the result of these actions already. He knows exactly where this will lead again because he's already seen it, this isn't mercy anymore, he's not going to repent.
There's a reason the Joker thing in Batman always feels strange. Its like the Heroes are protecting some strange status quo where the villain breaks out kills dozens, and goes straight back to jail, and you absolutely know he's going to just keep doing it in exactly the same way.
Carnage has murdered thousands on a low estimate, they know he'll do it again, they know he'll break out again, they know exactly what will happen, yet they happily repeat it. Even Spider-man broke down at the end of Carnage USA a bit when he realized that this was kinda fucked up. As Wolverine and Captain America look over the destroyed town and Cap says "We did the right thing" and Wolverine goes "Did we?"

http://moarpowah.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/09/carnage-usa-ending-1.jpg
The page from Carnage USA, along with the next page really sum it up.
>>90647680
http://moarpowah.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/09/carnage-usa-ending-2.jpg
>>90647419Still freaking murdered the UFoes immediately after taking the moral high ground as well as a bunch of mutated humans in the later Toxin arc.
>>90647608
>>90647680
I mean, yeah, I totally agree with that, but Spidey is a giant moralfag. Always has been.
And Flash is Spider-Man's #1 fan. There's no way he's gonna do what Spider-Man specifically told him not to do. He'd never forgive himself if Spider-Man found out what he had done and was upset with him.
>>90647815
Valkyrie is best girl for Flash
http://i.imgur.com/lfR48f5.jpg
And this is going to be it for me. Sorry it had to end so much later than I hoped (totally forgot about daylight savings time). I hope everyone enjoyed will pick up with much much more Venom later tonight.
Spider Bump!
>>90644965
Holy shit this is a stupid plot point. A contrived conflict created from a contrived desire to have a "ghost Peter" that should have never been an issue in the first place.
>>90645939
Another sign that the Descent plotline never got its full run; Bunn had enough pull to get Marvel to clear a .1 issue re-establishing it.
>>90648618
I don't see the problem. It's the first time Otto fucks up and starts the ball rolling for Goblin Nation.
