Picking up with Amazing-Spider-Man #680! I know the past thread was predominately non Slott issues but I did that so when I get to "the main event" I can just post till completion.
Heading home now. Please send bumps to ensure this thread doesn't fade into oblivion. Also hope everyone is having a great day!
Thanks for the powers link, OP.
>>90427599
I AM SO GLAD YOU GOT IT!!! I was worried you would have missed it.
Why can't the dead just stay dead? Is that so much to ask?
>>90428011
Meh, Johnny's death was too shitty to stick.
>b-but muh heroic sacrifice!!
Whatever, you get those a dime a dozen, it was shit.
>>90427912I was catching up on other storytimes.
This spidey run is massive. You're the best, mang.
Eagerly awaiting for Superior Spider Man
>>90427912
>>90428121I've downloaded all 51 parts but it's saying that it's either corrupted or I'm putting in the wrong password. Was the password the same as the first link?
>>90428882diamond
Oh, hey, OP, there was a question of it being snowing at Flash's dad's funeral despite Spider Island taking place before winter. However, issues of ASM that followed the event also had it snowing. So maybe Island took place later in the year than people thought.
>>90429471>corrupt file or wrong passwordthe archive link password worked but not the others. dang.
Never have I ever been so pumped to see Doctor Octopus and his cronies.
>>90428038
>and they are still at Hershel's farm
I got that reference.
They really did spend way too much time there.
>>90430121
Such an understatement. Although it was good to see Shane for longer than season 1 so that's something
>>90428386
Having a full lungful of air while in outer space would kill you faster than not.
>>90430121
not as long as boatzerk lasted.
Spider-Glider...nice.
>>90429847
man Otto has come a long way.
Glad to see that Pete's inventions are actually in use rather than just mentioned once and tossed away.
>>90429805Fuck me, it was caps sensitive. Diamond for future ref. Thanks a bunch sorry for the derail.
Jonah does have a point here. And Modell does kind of have an high and mighty attitude.
This is a classic lineup of The Sinister Six
Hmmm...either I'm crazy or this is decently written.
Oh shit
>>90430486
The best lineup too. Chameleonand Shockerwere my favourites as a kid.
Loving this
>>90430561
If modern 616 were to take Shocker out of the Spider-Man 2: Enter Electro video-game he could probably wreck the Avengers singlehandedly. He was a beast in that game.
>Individual boxes for all of his different villains.
Cute
Little abrupt but I'll allow it.
>>90430371Ur golden. I'll seen about uploading Season 2 sometime soon. Post your thoughts if you get the chance. Also a forewarning, the series DOES take a while to get going to reserve judgement until you get to the Wolfe Arc (which is unfortunately at the halfway point). Season 2 hits the ground running and doesn't stop till the Season/Series finale
Oh my god I am so sorry for not posting. Wasn't paying attention.
Glorious
This is gonna be good
Very interesting tactic Mysterio. Now I kinda wanna read some Mysterio stories but that's easier said than done.
Glad to see this humiliation gets addressed late on in Yost's series.
Seems like Slott definitely turned it around from the previous arc. Also would anyone else be down for another Slott storytime in the future? I'm thinking either She-Hulk, Great Lakes Avengers, Mighty Avengers, and Arkham Living Hell. If anyone can name other Slott comics that'd be much appreciated.
>>90431992
Casanova or bust
I know you're trying to save the world Spidey but that's still a low blow.
>>90432073
I had already promised to do Hellboy Volumes 1-12 but afterward I'll do a Matt Fraction Collection. With the lineup being:
1. Casanova
2. Five Fists of Science
3. Defenders
4. Sex Criminals
5. Invincible Iron Man
6. Hawkeye
Jesus Spidey. That's not something you'd see in a friendly neighborhood.
I maintain that Ock writes villains better than heroes. Not by much but enough for me to notice. some have said the same thing about Geoff Johns (Forever Evil was tons of fun).
>>90429626
Poor Otto.
>>90431629
Slott really let Max have a miserable existence this entire run.
>>90432401
>Ock writes
kek
Freudian slip?
>>90433144
Lol definitely.
Slott is easily just as variable in his writing as Bendis is. A large majority of the time it seems like they are phoning it in but every now and again they surprise you.
Why does Slott hate Spider-Man so much?
>>90434458
Because he's big fat idiot with a midget fetish
>>90431587
He has a lot. His stories during Lee's run were great. And Slott's arc in Gauntlet about him was fun.
This is extraordinarily...
A) Contrived
B) Stupid
C) Forced
D) Unecessary
D) All of the AboveThe answer is E!!!
>>90434857
DAMMIT! WHY CAN'T I EVEN LABEL THINGS CORRECTLY!
>>90434857
I will never not be mad. Who's Slott's superhero waifu? I'm killing her off as soon as I get the chance.
Peter, you stupid stupid man
Well that was...intersting.
And now for something less serious, I thin the story is called "No Turning Back".
Ho
Gotta admit, this is now much more interesting than anticipated
Batman v Superman, as shitty as it was, was still better written than all of Dan Sloth's comics.
FACT
This dialog just makes me remember an old Spider-Man story I read when I was a kid that involved the lizard. It was seriously written like a thriller.
God damn it Morbius. Go one story arc without biting someone
Spidey is looking insane right now
God damn it Jessica! Can't you go one story arc without having an apocalyptic vision?!
And that is going to be it for this thread. Looks like tomorrow we're going to end Volume 1 of Amazing Spider-Man and start Superior! Hope everyone enjoyed!!!
>>90436778
Man, why's everyone such a dick to Mobius?
So close to superior Spider-Man I can taste it
>>90435004
It was for the best. Otto was able to do some real good later on and this moment was a defining one that gets brought up later.
>>90433186
Gogo will always have the good butt.
>>90433186
> ghost villain formed from the spirits of those killed by atomic bombs
not only that is that insensitive, it somehow manages to be more insensitive than that one alt-universe Shadowcat.
>>90438366
Friendly reminder CBR called Superior a worse story than OMD
>>90434857
I'll always hate this just because Alexei's marriage to Oksana humanized him so much that I always saw his turn back to a heel incredibly "All of the above".Not to mention full strength Spidey could more than easily damage Rhino.
>>90435746
> we're both your exes and we both know spider-man
so they do lesbo stuff in spider-man cosplay? neat.
Overall I found Ends of the Earth a mixed bag. On the one hand too much of it was tied to convenience or annoying events. On the other one Ramos' art was way more tolerable than in Spider Island.
>>90436730
> not one of those sparkly ones
this is the fourth or fifth Twilight reference you've made Slott, we get it.
>>90432460
Hey, cool, Israel has a superheroine.
>>90442023
>Not to mention full strength Spidey could more than easily damage Rhino.
Absofuckinglutely
So much Slott..........
>>90432903
>neo-nazi kills Jew superheroine
Wow...
>>90434248
Has Mysterio always been this based?
