Can someone explain how the X-Men work as an analog to real world minority groups? How did it start? The comparisons never made that much sense to me just like how Magneto being a supremacist is a problem but they turn around and say shit like "Our numbers are growing everyday. We are humanity's future." Doesn't that make them just a more "passive" form of supremacist? I can see why people get angry over mutants if that's how they communicate their message.

Magneto's logic was flawed in his early career as a villain. It was classic egomaniac villain logic. He was part of an oppressed group (Jews) and realized that his power made him better than everyone, so he sought to gather others with mutant abilities to create a utopia, by using the same methods of violence and subjugation that the Nazis enacted on him and his family years ago.

In the greater scope of the Marvel Universe, mutant racism makes no sense, because you have characters like the Fantastic Four and the Inhumans who got their powers from outside forces, and yet don't experience the same bigotry that mutants do. So why does power at birth make so much difference? It shouldn't, but Marvel doesn't really care about that when they have an agenda to push.

>Graham King and Fundamental Films are partnering to secure the film rights to Liefeld’s Extreme Universe, which includes characters like Bloodstrike, Brigade, Lethal, Re‐Gex, Cybrid, Bloodwulf, Battlestone, Kaboom, and Nitro‐Gen. King will partner with Akiva Goldsman to develop the property with an eye to launch a film franchise. The pair plans to set up a writer’s room for the banner, which Goldsman will oversee, similar to his work leading the writer’s room for Hasbro and Paramount. King and Goldsman will produce the titles alongside Liefeld and Brooklyn Weaver with Weed Road’s President of Production Greg Lessans and GK Films’ Denis O’Sullivan acting as executive producers.
