Be honest /co/, are you excited for the new Guardians of the Galaxy comic?

Logan and Xavier were both affected by a virus created by the Essex Corporation that wiped out nearly all mutants, and caused them to lose control of their powers. Xavier accidentally killed several humans and mutants alike with telepathy and became a fugitive, with Logan always by his side.
The Essex Corporation's Transigen Program has been capturing the surviving mutants for experimentation and creates clones of Logan to be used as weapons, but they decompose after a few weeks. Head scientist Xander Rice then impregnates a nurse with Logan's genetic material and she has a daughter, Laura, with similar powers, who later breaks out to find Logan while being chased by the Reavers. Rice often reports to a superior, implied to be Mister Sinister, but never shown.
Logan, Laura and Xavier go on the run and end up fighting the Reavers led by Donald Pierce and an adult male clone of Logan called "X-24". Xavier is killed while Logan and Laura kill all the Reavers and Logan then kills X-24.
Logan finds out he's dying since his healing factor is fading because of the virus and will no longer protect him from Adamantium poisoning. Having grown close to Laura, Logan vows to be a father to her for as long as he has left, and they drive off into the sunset towards an uncertain future.
This is actually the last scene in the movie.

It's another episode Ewing remembers all your dropped plot lines
At the forefront of the mission is former Inhuman king Black Bolt and current Inhuman queen Medusa, who have been working together in recent years, though they’ve been living separate lives. How will living and working together initially impact the formerly married couple’s dynamic? What does it mean for the rest of the cast to have Medusa and Black Bolt on this mission together?
Black Bolt and Medusa are closer than they were in some ways, but there are still things driving them apart. There’s a secret between them – as hinted in “Inhumans: Prime,” which I think is out the month before – that might end up putting more distance than ever between the two of them. Can the relationship be saved at this point? Should it be? Are Black Bolt and Medusa too far apart from each other now to reconcile? We’ll have to see, but I can tell you that when the truth comes out, the rest of the cast will definitely get involved.
Your other two cast members of the Inhuman Royal family are Crystal and Gorgon. What’s your sense of these characters?
Crystal is there as one of the key Royals, and she’s proven her credentials over the past couple of years as a leader. There’s an interesting dynamic somewhere in there, with her sister Medusa as the regal, mythical Queen figure, and Crystal as a more down-to-earth leader-type who gets her hands dirty with the day-to-day. And we’re going to be getting some romantic drama from her as well, as her great lost love, Ronan the Accuser, is out in space and very much in the Royals’ way.
Gorgon was recently healed from a spinal injury by the Inhuman healer Panacea, so he can walk again – but it wasn’t a magical reset button by any means. He has bad days and some serious pain issues. But the Inhumans need him, and Medusa needs him, and he’s not going to hesitate for a second before throwing himself back into the fight.
The two Nuhumans in “Royals,” Flint and Swain, had a pretty tumultuous journey with Crystal and Gorgon over in “All-New Inhumans.” Which of these characters’ traits do you find especially interesting? What kinds of roles will they play in the book?
Flint’s going out there because he owes the Royals and because he needs to prove something to himself, and he’s still working out what – sometimes people do things and work out the “why” of it later, and we’re not going to get into it for an issue or two. His foster family dying of Terrigen is an element of it, and what he feels he owes the Royals is part of it. I feel like there’s a lot of complexity in him that I’d like to explore, and it just made sense that out of all the best-known NuHumans, he’d be the one to feel the tug of the quest. He’s searching for something, and out there might be where he finds it.
Swain is more driven by duty. She’s the Captain – you can’t have a starship without a captain – and she’s got a responsibility to Crystal and the other Royals that she won’t abandon. And she’s fun, which I hope I can capture in all this space questing. There’s the tug of space there, but the tug of change, as well, the need to shake things up, for her and Flint both. I’m a big fan of the “call of the stars” idea, and there’s a little bit of that at work.

>DC sweeps all ten position in our store’s Top Ten–and once again, Marvel is losing readers who have decided to sit out the current wave of lackluster titles in hopes that Marvel will eventually launch its own back-to-the-basics Rebirth. Marvel’s big event, Monsters Unleashed, was dead on arrival, coming in at #23 in our store this week. It’s obvious that Marvel editorial has no idea what customers want to read; instead, Marvel keeps trotting out the same tired gimmicks to sell more books to stores (variants, deep discounts, match-to incentives) without worrying about appealing to the readers themselves.
>Wow. We received a measly 16 copies on MONSTERS UNLEASHED #1, including the free overship. We have 5 left as Saturday at noon. Very few people care about the new “event.” Invincible Iron Man is in freefall, Mighty Captain Marvel and Star-Lord have failed to register with readers… these are all indicators of fans’ waning interest in Marvel. Which sucks– we WANT to sell Marvel, to be excited about their product, but there’s only so much we can fake enthusiasm for mediocre comics. Especially when DC and Image are putting out consistently high quality work. Can Marvel open up their coffers and throw enough money at a Remender or a Hickman-level talent to come back and fix this? Jason Aaron can’t hold it together on his own, and although Al Ewing’s books are some of the best coming out, they languish from proximity to the rest of the line.
>I feel like a broken record, but here’s another top 10 list without a Marvel book. Actually, Marvel only had 3 spots in our top 20, and none were even in the top 15 so far this week! Marvel finally shows up at spot 16 with Star Wars Dr Aphra 3, Amazing Spider-Man at 17 and Clone Conspiracy at 19. None of the Marvel books I’ve mentioned in this paragraph have hit double digit sales in my store yet in the first few days of sales. Ouch. Over the rest of the week and month, we will sell about 25 to 30 copies of these Marvel books, but most Marvel fans aren’t your “Wednesday Warriors” at this point.
So far, we’re selling more Motor Girl and Night’s Dominion than Monsters Unleashed 1, Mighty Captain Marvel 1, Starlord 1, Avengers 3.1, Invincible Iron Man 3, Venom 3, Gamora 2, Ultimates 2 # 3, or World of Wakanda 3. I know every store is different, but we’ve been done for a long time with playing the variant chasing game, and we’re ordering lower than we have in almost 20 years on these new Marvel first issues and still not selling out of anything, even before the Marvel overships kick in. We gave Champions, Jessica Jones, Great Lakes Avengers and a few other new Marvel books a solid push, and it just fell on deaf ears, since people are just not interested in what Marvel’s putting out right now, or they don’t want to drop a book they already know they enjoy, to budget for what will be a quickly cancelled six issue series. Steve McNiven on a new series should be a strong seller, but I ordered REALLY LOW on Monsters Unleashed but it wasn’t low enough. I’m just scared of how poorly received the MU one shots will be for $4.99 each. I feel like I’m going to eat my fair share on those when subs reject them, since they aren’t interested in the main title that no one is buying so far.
>Marvel announcing a third ongoing for Black Panther just seems like they couldn’t be more out of touch with their audience. The main book is falling in sales, the second book didn’t really catch and there’s no market for a THIRD book for a character that could stay a strong seller with one really focused title, but short term thinking is going to make the character “radioactive” where he will be forced to go away for a while before they bring him back with a new number one six months after all his titles are cancelled. Just like every new Deadpool mini sells less than the last one, Marvel is about one more $9.99 issue of Deadpool away from dropping that down to one of my lower selling books from that publisher, when I used to sell almost 100 every month less than a year ago. Spider-Man/Deadpool has been my bestselling ongoing for a while now, but it’s been sliding quite a bit these last few issues because of the oversaturation of DP titles right now.
>I wish I had a better answer than asking for “less books, cheaper and better books” but they don’t seem to want to hear it with their short term thinking. While our store is doing better than ever (best January so far in our 24 year history, selling tons of comics, TPBs, toys, Pops and more, just not much Marvel), our Marvel sales are approaching their worst numbers ever, hitting late nineties levels, where Amazing and Uncanny were barely selling to even the most hardcore Marvel Zombie. We’ve been cutting Marvel much closer to one or two copies over our exact sales by the end of the month, and allocating that budget to more Image, IDW, Dark Horse, Boom, DC and other indy books. I try NOT to sell out on most titles, because if I have a copy or two left at the end of a two month period, it means I covered my market and didn’t strand 5 people that also wanted it, but didn’t see it here.
I feel ya
I went in Monster Unleashed with medium-low expectations and was still disappointed by it

This March’s musical crossover between “Supergirl” and “The Flash” is going to be one big “Glee” reunion. TVLine reports that Darren Criss, who rose to fame as Blaine Anderson on “Glee,” will appear as Music Meister in the two-episode crossover event.
“With our Flash and our Supergirl being ‘Glee’ alums, how could we not have them go up against another ‘Glee’ favorite like Darren Criss?” said executive producer Andrew Kreisberg. “We have been blown away by his talent over the years and we can’t wait to see what he brings to the Music Meister.”
Criss will perform alongside “The Flash” stars Grant Gustin, Jesse L. Martin and Carlos Valdes; “Supergirl” stars Melissa Benoist and Jeremy Jordan; and “Legends of Tomorrow” co-star Victor Garber and “Arrow” regular John Barrowman. Titled “Duet,” the musical also stars “Supergirl” actors David Harewood and Chris Wood and is directed by Arrowverse veteran Dermott Downs.
“The Flash” returns on January 24. Starring Grant Gustin as the Scarlet Speedster, “The Flash” airs Tuesdays at 8 pm ET/PT on The CW. The series also stars Jesse L. Martin, Tom Cavanagh, Carlos Valdes, Candice Patton, Danielle Panabaker, Keiynan Lonsdale and more.
Starring Melissa Benoist as the Girl of Steel, “Supergirl” airs Mondays at 8 pm ET/PT on The CW. The series also stars David Harewood as Martian Manhunter, Mehcad Brooks as Jimmy Olsen, Chyler Leigh as Alex Danvers and Jeremy Jordan as Winn Schott and features appearances by Calista Flockhart’s Cat Grant as well as Tyler Hoechlin’s Superman.

I was gonna say "and into the trash it goes" but immediately realized that would only be posturing and I'd still watch this anyway because I want to see everyone sing.
I still say this is bullshit and Darren Criss is probably the most boring choice for a recast.
