Okay, I get that the Razzies are a joke award and all that, but this is some meme regurgitating shit.

Well deserved.

Razzies are more about big movies that bombed with critics. I don`t think Manos would have won a Razzie.

Ben Affleck being good in this film is a meme. The praise is for how good his costume looks and how he 'fights like Batman'. Neither of those things are down to talent. He did nothing that Jon Hamm or Josh Brolin couldn't have.

Worst actress should definitely go to Margot Robbie. I legitimately can't decide whether Eisenberg or Leto deserves worst supporting actor more.
>>
>>89361390
I know the Razzie are a stupid meme award that's meant to be funny and nothing more, but if Ben "wins" this will only lead to people saying "see? it really sucked!" without even having seen BVS.
>>
>BvS
>Not Ghostbusters
>Not Norm of the North
Listen, BvS is a shitshow of a film.

However, at this point I feel like its notoriety is partially because it's shit and mostly because we're blindly expected to hate it at this point. Like, it's just the "it" thing to do.

Even if its nomination is more of the fact how a film this big can end up so bad, Ghostbusters should still overshadow BvS in that category by a long shot.
>>
>>89361548
I think the reason why BvS is getting the majority of shit is that people expected more from it and it tried to sell itself as a higher than most capeshit
>>

>>
>>89361390

BvS is the movie that made me stop watching Capeshit movies in movie theaters forever , and not was exactly the movie itself (which I thought it was lackluster) it was the people defending it every-fucking-where I went and with such stupid arguments like "critics don't know about comic books and are paid by Marvel"and calling it a masterpiece that made me quit , it gave me such cancer I can't look any kind of capeshit movie without utter disgust.

I''ll maybe watch capeshit movies once they are on cable or streaming but I'm not missing much anyway not watching capeshit , since they are formulaic blockbuster movies but with men in costumes.

BvS is far from being the worst move of the year obviously, I personally didn't like it, but searching on Metacritic or Rotten Tomatoes you will find that there were much worse movies, but obviously nominating movies like Nine Lives or Max Steel that nobody watched won't generate the same media attention and butthurt among DCEU fans than nominating BvS.

The Razzies Academy are basically shitposters that pay to humiliate Hollywood celebrities, you can see for yourself on their forums, they are already planning the movies they are nominating the next ceremony.

Let me stop you right there. /co/ was insanely hyped leading up to the first reviews of the movie dropping. People were convinced that this was what would redeem Snyder and be the cornerstone for the entire DC Universe. I don't know if the thread where the embargo lifted is saved anywhere, but I hope it is so you can see how devastated people were.

Was it a stupid idea to get hopes up for Snyder? Yes. But that doesn't mean it didn't happen.
>>
>>89364596

>>
>>89362179
>>89362139
You're forgetting that from a business standpoint both were a success, especially Suicide Squad.

>ahoo boo boo comic book nerds are saying our movies suck!
Doesn't matter they'll still buy tickets for the next movie, and the one after, and the one after.

That's precisely the reason they still shit "Nolan-like" movies while trying to copy Marvel in the meantime, because doesn't matter how bad it's criticized or how low their RT score is, people still pay for them.

they can make fun movies without becoming marvel.
They just need a good story which all of their films have lacked so far.
BvS could be dark as sin city but if it doesn't have a good story to hold everything together you are just left with a boring dreary movie with moments like the martha scene
>>
>>89361548
Squad was worse technically, by which I mean "from a technical standpoint" as in editing and pacing. But it had a better story.

BvS was "characters on the autism spectrum doing wacky things for reasons that matter only to them".

The acting in BvS was pretty bad. The writing for Suicide Squad was bad, acting was okay.

Since that I have spent months knowing what a let down mess it was, my love for DC will stay but that doesn't mean I will defend this mistake or doing what most people did to cope, fall into blind denial. I barely keep any hopes for future DCEU films, my only wish is for them to at least be good, making some competence against Marvel isn't even my concern.
