>You see, their morals, their code, it's a bad joke. >Dropped at the first sign of trouble.
>They're only as good as the world allows them to be.
> I'll show you. When the chips are down, these... these civilized people, they'll eat each other.
>See, I'm not a monster. I'm just ahead of the curve.
Why did they make a movie where the villain was right?
>>90199253
>How will I show the world by complex philosophy?
>Oh I'll just fucking kill random people, that'll show them that I'm right :^)

saying things that are right doesn't equal being right
When I was a child, I looked up to Batman.
Then I grew up and realized Tiny[/spoiler]Lister made more sense.
I hadn't seen X2 since I was a kid, so I decided to watch it again just for the sheer novelty of Brian Cox as Stryker.
And that ending is goddamned garbage.
"Yes, let's justappear in the President's office and psychically freeze everyone in the room except for him and make storm clouds appear outside and basically just scare the fucking bejeezus out of him.
"That'll definitely help our cause. That won't make us look like the bad guy or anything. Oh, and also, let's NOT explain tothe President of the United States that the Mutant in the back of the room only tried to kill you because he was under chemical mind-control. Let's not explain that to him at all."
If anyone saw that scene without any context, the X-Men would look like supervillains. Shit, even with context, it looks sketchy as all hell.
>>90199204
The President there was meant to be based on Bush.
So giving him a small folder and then scaring the shit out of him was appropriate.
They literally gave him a file detailing Stryker's crimes, including the brainwashing.
>>90199282
Is that supposed to offset the fact that a bunch of superpowered weirdos in leather, one of whom tried toassassinate him, just showed up in his office and did all that shit and told him they were here to stay
http://www.themarysue.com/seriously-lego-batman-is-under-fire-for-its-pro-gay-propaganda/
>John-Henry Westen, founder of the “pro-life” and “pro-family” (read: anti-choice and anti-LGBTQ) site Voice of the Family wrote of the movie,
>It was chock full of pro-gay propaganda. Think the sexual innuendo of the Flintstones minus the real humor. It seemed the creators were so anxious to subtly indoctrinate the little ones into the gender ideology that making it humorous came as a distant second thought.
>Westen quoted at length from another review of the movie from critic Michael Hamilton, which focuses in large part on the “gay adoption” of Dick Grayson by Batman and Bruce Wayne, who are definitely two different people and not the same at all. (Yes, Hamilton does eventually make it clear that yes, he knows Bruce Wayne is actually Batman, but that his point still stands.)
>Hamilton points to the adoption, along with the love-to-hate relationship between Batman and the Joker as signs that this movie is clearly out to brainwash your kids into tolerance.
>The writers could have clumsily stacked topics such as gender identity, gender roles, and gender neutrality all over the story board like so many LEGOs. Instead, these topics hide in plain sight, because they are the foundation. Few parents and fewer kids will question any of it, because there’s a way to interpret all of it as technically innocent. That’s what makes these messages subliminal (and potentially powerful). LEGO Batman makes them seem plain as vanilla and American as apple pie.
>[The] subliminal nature of LEGO Batman’s questionable themes is a mixed blessing. They’re subtle enough most people won’t notice. But failing to notice grants them normalcy, as though you’d be crazy or cruel to suggest anything was amiss here.
literally who
>>90199251
Voice of the Family is one of the President's approved news outlets
they've got a website which is how you can tell they're not fake news

>it's an "interactive" webcomic where every cringy suggestion the readers give makes you want to kill yourself
Fuck you, Bogleech is absolutely fucking based and Awful Hospital is amazing.
>>90199786
The story's fine. The posters, however, are incredibly autistic.

Carol Thread?

Sadly.
Are there any comics or cartoons where the main characters stands up against his bully, and even maybe fights his bully?
are there any comics or cartoons where the main character is a bully?
>>90198459
This episode of Recess does this.
He loses horribly, though.

South Park.

Did I miss the hulk/wolverine threads?
>>90198363
Hulkverine sounds pretty terrifying, to be honest.
HULK BEST AT WHAT HULK DOES
WHAT HULK DOES IS SMASH
this is the second thread I've seen today, what's this all about?
LOL

There doesn't need to be a Trayvon/Mike Jones episode on SVU

L&O > SVU > CI

I'm still waiting on a cop show that tackles a Philandro Castille incident. And one that has the balls to have the main cast be the ones who are closing ranks to keep the killer cop out of jail.
Who made him the Mary Sue that he is today? Miller?
Morrison's JLA is the first time I remember encountering what is now commonly known as Batgod
>>90197818
Does he wear a smaller bat cowl over his penis?
inb4 mary sue is an over used term and Batman is not a mary sue
Who the fuck is that guy?

This just won best animated movie at the Césars (the French Oscars). Has anyone seen it?
It also won in Annecy last year. Not sure where it's out.
I thought /co/ liked stop motion and French cartoons.
>>90196559
I do. But I haven't gotten around watching this one yet, fucker. I also noticed most people not really posting on animated movie or animation process threads. Waifufagging seems to be the driving force these days.
>>90196707
True enough. It's kinda depressing and a big reason I won't buy any "I want more serious/adult animation" complaining from here.
Well, i was about to get into this show since everyone is talking about it, but after seeing this, I'm completely uninterested. Why does Disney have to do this?
Because the world is overpopulated and the illuminati is trying to give us a generation of homosexuals to help that problem, give them a break.
>>90209157
Why would straight people go to a boy band concert?
So is she Chinese or Japanese?

She Laotian.
Korean, I think.

Is this the greatest comic of all time?
The cat has your pipe.
>>90195828
It's perfect. Maybe it's the acid talking, but I see your point.
>>90195828
>>90196255
The pipe is obviously a homage to René Magritte's famous surealist painting of a pipe. Since the goal of surealism was essentially that of revolution of any norm and commodity, I assume that Jon represents society and Garfield represents revolutionary art.
The fucking pipe does not exist, and Garfield is hitting Jon over the head with this fact and shocks his tiny burgeous world of commodity and control. Note that he is wearing a blue collared shirt and is consuming a newspaper; the conformist's media and the mouthpiece of those in power.
I'm a bit too tired to go into detail here, but it is brilliant actually.
Thoughts on this masterpiece?
It's forking great.
>>90205545
I liked it
