How are you Michifags enjoying Fat Tuesday? I just ate two lemon paczkis and I could go for a third, I can already feel the diabetes flowing through me

Don't you love how the lard soaks through the box?
>>7312307
My local bakery sells them around this time of year. I usually get the bavarian cream ones.
>Vegan's literally advertising/eating shit
Can't make this shit up no pun intended. http://www.theherbivorousbutcher.com/ if you wanna give them hits, doubt itll help much.
yeah that does look like shit, I have been drifting toward more vegan options but that looks pretty nasty. But who knows...
>>7312238
Oh come on, I live in the Twin Cities so I've been seeing/hearing a lot about them lately, I'm not vegan so I'm probably not gonna eat there but you seriously chose the ONE picture that didn't look objectively food. All their other food looked good or at least okay.
Why do y'all go to such lengths just to hate vegans? People can do what they want, it's dumb. Why does it bother you?
Meat eaters making 20 "LOL FUCK U VEGANS" threads a day are ruining /ck/ and /fit/.
>>7312500
>>duirrr
you are the idiot here. this is not a one sided shit flinging contest. vegans and people who use animal products have been flinging equal ammounts of shit at eachother for a long ass time.
The only reason you give a shit about the vegans and ignore all of their shitty attitudes while turning around and give double birdies to people who use animal products is because they happen to be the underdog right now.
Is anyone else really autistic about having a complete meal? As in all the sides and appropriate drinks and such?
>Roommate says he's cooking steaks for dinner
>Run to the store to buy wine, mashed potatoes, and salad
>Get a bowl of white rice and orange chicken at Panda Express
>Grab and cook up the bag of potstickers from the freezer, brew some tea while they cook
>Only have the ingredients for a sandwich if I want a proper dinner but out of chips
>Grab my bag of emergency backup chips taped to the shelf in one of my cabinets
>Think about making scrambled eggs tomorrow morning
>Stop on the way home to buy some fresh squeezed orange juice to go with the eggs and sourdough toast
Why didn't you just save room for the steaks?
Your roommate probably put a lot of effort into them.
>>7312176
rewrite your story bruh, it currently reads like you did this all at once, obviously you didn't but still
>>7312176
If you're female, thus makes sense.
If you're male, you eat your steak on the kitchen counter and your only side is a beer (which you already had in the fridge.)
Dinner tonight
Loooks Good hmmmm?
Looks like chickun
I'm relatively new to cooking and I made the most involved meal I've ever made tonight. BBQ chicken/bacon pizza.
Made the bbq chicken in the slow cooker
1/2 package of bacon
used store bought pizza crust topped with bbq sauce and some different seasoning
add some chicken, crumbled bacon, and topped with cheese
Ravioli?
HOLY CANOLI
>>7311867
What's the things on the right? Are they like ice cream sandwiches or something?
>>7312098
Cannoli but the filling looks like shit.
ATTENTION FUCKING JANITARD, HOW DO I STOP THAT YOUTUBE VID THAT SOUNDS IN THE BACKGROUND?

What are three or four meals that provide decent nutrition and don't take 30 years to cook?
I work 60 hours a week and go to school full time, I have about an hour a day to do anything else, except sundays where I have about 4-5 hours of free time.
I don't mind eating the exact same things every day for a month, so is there like, something I can cook a bunch of Sunday and just eat for a week? Or basic foods that I can throw together in 5 minutes?
I've tried as hard as I can to find recipes online but they almost all require unmentioned prep-work to achieve the "10 minutes" it takes to make the food.
Ramen noodles
Look up jambalaya. It's basically anything you want in a pot with rice.
Whenever I know I have a tough week ahead of me, I just make a massive pot with lots of bell peppers, onions, celery, garlic, canned tomatoes and assorted spices, toss in some diced sausage and ham, add rice till pot is full and eat it everyday. Takes about an hour to make all together with prep.
Gets better every time I reheat it, too.
Frozen pizzas with fresh ingredients added.
How does /ck/ think of IHOP?

I usually make pulled chicken in the crock pots on both high and low for 4-8 hours. What I choose is dependent on if I'll be home, awake, etc. when it's done.
What is too long? Would 12 hours on low be to long for something like pulled chicken breasts?
>>7311655
Get your FFXI ass off this board. You probably post on bg...
>>7311741
Lmao.
I haven't played since 2010. Was just a random pic I had on my phone that wouldn't break the 4 MB limit.
>>7311655
You can safely leave a slow cooker on for 12 hours at low given there's enough liquid. Will it overcook the chicken? Almost certainly.
The only difference between low and high is the amount of time it takes to simmer. In other words, they will both reach 209 F but at different rates.
What are some good spices to add to a pasta bake? I'm going with chopped onion and garlic with it but need to spice it up a bit.
Basil is a solid choice. I find it's better sprinkled on top as your pull it out of the oven, but you could add it before cooking as well.
Black pepper is good too, as long as you don't overdo it.
>>7311206
>Basil is a spice
It's a herb you fucking retard.
Why are you here giving advice?
>>7311206
paprika
worcestershire sauce
moved in with a friend that has never cooked meat before.
what meat should I teach him to cook?
pic unrelated

your dick meat
Slow cooker pulled pork.
Did he grow up in a vegetarian household? How does a grown-ass man not know how to cook meat?
is chicken tikka masala the california roll of indian food where people silently judge you for being such a scrub, or more equivalent to the pizza of italian food where it's popular because it's good, not because its less intimidating that other menu items?
More like General Tso's
more like meme masala
i'll pass
>>7311031
so basically, if you are eating somewhere that offers it everybody else is already fully aware their meal is little more than tasty garbage?
>literally everyone who eats rice just eats plain white rice like an East Asian peasant
>literally nobody in the West knows about pilaf or even Persian rice and potatoes
Why?
>7310815
>>literally nobody in the West knows about pilaf or even Persian rice and potatoes
Don't know what flyover shithole you live in.
>nopassport.jpg
Can you tell me a good recipe for Persian rice potatoes then?
And what about fucking Risotto?
>>7310815
Plenty of people know about pilaf and persian rice, dude. I make persian rice (yes, with nice crispy tah deeg) all the time. And Zereshk Polow is one of my all time favorite foods, which I make pretty regularly, and I'm as white as they come. I ALWAYS prefer basmati rice - based dishes. Aged basmati is the elder god tier rice, it's the one rice I'm never without.
Point being, IDK what backwater you live in, but there is multitudes of people in the states that eat that and know those kind of rice dishes on a regular basis.
Are beer hipsters the worst hipsters?
A: Yes.
That's right though.
>s**t

>If you're not happy with the lowest grade of commercial food you're a hipster.
Do you think someone is a hipster if they choose to go out to a nice restaurant instead of eating pic related at home?
