That's the Jewish way, my goim

how do I do this while living in canada? what's the canadian / quebec equivalent?

also, is it worthy to follow that strategy with windfall money, or only with long-term savings?

401k and IRA are roughly the same as RRSP and TFSA, respectively. Fill up your non-taxable accounts first. For the index funds, same goes, just use domestic (Canadian) and international. TD has index funds, or you can buy ETFs. Probably not a great idea to go equally into each, vary up the stocks:bonds depending on your age, and make maybe a third (at most) of your stocks domestic.

Should work out for either case, unless you've got a really huge windfall and you know you can do something better/more stable with it.
>>
>>1375305
not op, but in the same boat, right now i have an RRSP/TFSA, 2k/5k in each.

both are in the "TD Comfort Balanced Portfolio" i have no clue if this is the best spot to have both of them, this was just the account that was suggested to me when i was opening them up.

i know im basically asking to be spoonfed but do you know which accounts are the best/if i should change where the money is at the moment

How hard would it be to start up a real outfit? You hear about these small town mafia groups all the time. Got their fingers in all the pies, paid off some of the law.

Is it possible? How would you go about it?

All hypothetical btw ;^)

There's probably a reading list up somewhere but could somebody give me the name of a decent intro/overview of economics that is meme and nonsense free. Just literal facts plz.

Economics in one lesson.
>>
>>1374800
Thanks, that's perfect. I'll get that. Cheers m80.
>>
What parts of economics? Macro? Business? Financial Markets? Government? If you want an overview for everything you might as well read a Wiki/Investopedia article and see which part you actually wanna learn about.

But I'll go ahead with some recommendations

"Economic facts and fallacies" if you want to learn the practical aspects of the economics of housing, education, employment etc.

"The Wealth of Nations" is old and dated but it's still widely known for laying down the foundations of economics.

/biz/, I need access to £500 over a month until my first payday, next month. Which method would you guys recommend?

>Take it from my savings at a value loss of £125 (HTB-ISA for those in the UK)
>Open up an overdraft
>Open up a credit card

It's not something I'm going to need to do again after my first paycheck

borrow from a friend/family member
>>
Do the maths matherfacker.

How much will taking 500 from overdraft cost you?

Just make sure it's a prearranged overdraft, otherwise you will end up paying more than a credit card.
>>
>>1374819
Yeah, that's certainly an option - I just don't like asking to borrow money (it's pretty much something I've never had to do before)

I'd rather pay the <£10 overdraft interest for example... But I'm not in the know about how this will affect my credit rating etc

hey /biz/

I'm quite new here, been lurking for about a moth.
I am currently developing a website for hotel bookings that helps you pay in bitcoin.

The website is very static, and most of the work will be made via telephone/mail.
The idea is simple: I make you the reservation, you check in at the hotel and pay me in bitcoin. After that, i will pay in Cash for your stay at the reception. The service will be available only in my town (Bucharest).
I will be the first one in Bucharest who gives this payment option.

My question is: Do coiners use Bitcoin only for investment purpose or are you guys also using it as a currency?

Also, opinions from Romanians are extremely welcome.

I don't see a reason to use this. Why do you think people would be interested?

to stay anon? how do you secure your risks/consumers risks?

american fag here
>>
>>1374776
Reason to use this for consumers:
Anon, plus a much simpler way. Send BTC to a wallet and that's all.
My risks will be secured via a commission that hotels are used to pay to booking agencies.

As for consumers, i guess the front office can guarantee them that they don't have to pay for the reservation, if the arrangement was made.
>>
Id say go for it. My only concern would be order cancelling and if the commision is worth your time.

Hey /biz/ I'm working on a game that I know will make at least a million dollars, because it's something original that hasn't been done before. I have the advantage of having years of both programming and art training, so I have all the necessary skills to finish it myself. I plan to sell it on steam and I'm confident it will get greenlit fast as fuck, so I'm not going to submit it until it's close to being finished.

But it's a long term project that I know will take me at least a year to finish IF I can work on it full time. Meanwhile I have a shitty programming day job that I have to do to pay the bills, but it's drastically limiting the time I can work on this game and I don't see any way I can finish it while having to spend most of my day doing other shit.

What do I do in this situation? I can't borrow money from my parents because they think video games are fucking stupid and would never approve of this as a legitimate way to make a living, so I'm pretty much on my own.

the market is oversaturated, we have "never done before games" made every week. the most common trait they share is that they suck.

make a prototype and generate interest. then use crowdfunding.

Hey /biz/
I'm fairly new to investing. I invest about 100 bucks a month in index funds (am poorfag college student, just doing it to establish discipline, pls no bully).
I have an account with Stanley Morgan that my parents set up as a custodial account to help pay for college. I got a scholarship that pays for everything so i'm just going to withdraw it. Its about 5 grand.

My idea is that I will invest most of this in a high dividend ETF? Can you smart /biz/ gentlemen tell me why this is a good or bad idea.
If it is a bad idea please tell me what I should do with it instead (pls no cryptocoin/erythrium/ext., I've accepted I will never make the massive gains that you homos do every day).

Thank you. This board is actually helpful, sometimes. I'm also maybe going to take 1000 of it and put it into a robinhood account depending on what their fees and such are, consider it gambling money and follow the meme stocks this board promotes until I lose it all.

You're considering "gambling money" what it takes you almost a year to accumulate?

This board cracks me up.

I own a small fashion label and i'm working on a website. Competitors have 'about me' sections but they're super fucking pretentious. Is it worth talking myself up or just really lame?

If you have a great story go ahead. Otherwise have a section talking what THE BRAND is all about.

Rule number one of sales

>Talk about how what you can do for your customers, not about how great you are.

This is simple but the number of presentations I see that start with "we've been in the business for 15 years, we've won this award, and we're the top rated company as voted blah blah blah" and more shit nobody cares about".

The only reason you should ever talk about yourself is to lead to sales. Observe:

This is fine

>We have hundreds of customers, including IBM, HP and Microsoft (name dropping, shows you are successful and instils trust)

This isn't

>Our customers think we're great, here's some testimonials by Johnny Literallywho and Jane Whogivesafuck. We're a really good company that values it's snooooooooooore
>>
>>1374670
also if you think you will have exposure in the near future, having a media kit could be handy. it is also a great exercice to write one. It will help you define your label
