Oh my god... He is hitting the wall or choosing route of career politician in future.
1st thing about picture. It's fucking steam, water(H2O) in other words you dumb kid.
USA is not "leissez-faire capitalism", It's more of mixed economy of capitalism/protectionism as main headlines. USA's biggest problem is not capitalism, it's cartels that make things expensive(health care). And Trump is protectionist. TTIP whole purpose is to protect USA investors not Europeans.
Monopolies are 2nd big problem and USA doesn't have big enough hammer to smash them. EU has some tools but it they are kinda stupid(useless). For example industry can't own whole production line(copper rock -> enrichment -> melting -> copper pipes), but when EU breaks these lines, it can actually create monopolies in vital production lines. Yes they don't own whole production but new company may have monopoly in one area.
Most of Nowadays economists follow monetarism, which is pretty much Keynesianism but doing opposite (Yeah, they pretty much think that if Keynes failed you only have to do reserve to make it right). It's only this Keynes/monetarism BS, socialists think alike. Hitler failed with his policy with minorities(kill them), so you will do it right if you give them special status! BLM! Refugees welcome! what could possibly go wrong!

WOW indeed, and that comic sans doesn't give any extra credibility.
Best low-cost or free solutions for Forex or Options trading?
I'm just barely getting started with Forex and my current plan is to put small amounts of money into long trades (Roughly $50-100 into an account per week until I hit a good sized amount of money). What would be the best low or free option? I have heard about Oanda but they seem to jew you on spread and every single review site I have seen seems to be about pushing the dizzying amount of trading platforms.
My options broker is a little bit different. I am going to wait until I have about 4-5000 before I get into that kind of business but it would help to learn about options.

I'm a backend developer, can develop pretty much any web app or type of website. How should I profit?
You profit by going 50/50 on a project with me and get rich.
Ruby?
PHP?
Clarify what you mean by backend. It's a very specific definition, and what you've just said sounds like you have an idea of how to program and use intuitive, platform specific IDE's or development kits. Without being rude, I'm not sure you really know what you're talking about, and to be honest, what you've described isn't useful in itself, as Indians and development suites usable by laypeople already do the job of web developing.
If you actually do know how to do actual back end stuff (servers, sysadmin stuff, Javascript and js libraries etc), get in with tech startups and massive companies that do contracting stuff. I don't know if you're still a student, unemployed, or whatever. But internships with the companies making big money (hard to get ones that lead anywhere beyond being a code mule or team leader), and starting low in a new company as a founding/crucial member is probably your best bet.

Why is it so hard, in the information age to find an authoritative log of financial performance, going back to the very beginning...
To attempt to clarify somewhat,
despite the fact that I am still quite young,
I have never ever seen a graph of (any popular USA stock market index) in real_terms(chain weighted gdp, cpi-u, etc) on any time scale.

here is a picture from some http source,
they even give links to a http*.edu (yale has pretty good name recognition) source for the original data...

Are you trying to imply that any data served over http is potentially unreliable? If you are really that paranoid, what gives you the impression that https is a significant improvement?

I guess I'm assuming the challenge presented by acquiring control of some host located within a chain 'the weakest link' is not quite so high as subverting a certificate authority (at least to some degree...)
Silver and gold just died. My sympathies go out to anyone who's still invested in silver and gold.

Are you saying the china brand is its own different logo to avoid copyright?
Wouldnt people just not buy the obvious blatent shitty knockoff?
Alright, /biz/, I've been looking at a few stocks and have come up with some picks. Let's go through them one by one.
1. General Motors ($GM)
The good:
>people will always drive, they will always need cars
>licensing robotic glove developed with NASA to healthcare company, potential for expansion
>just got a patent on a new, more efficient type of engine
>Chevy Bolt is a fully electric car that they could use as a platform to build upon
>decent dividend (5.4% yield) that has gone up from $0.36 per share per quarter to $0.38 per share per quarter (they started at $0.30 per share per quarter)
The bad:
>oil uncertainty could affect business, if prices go up, people might drive less
>decent amount of debt relative to cash
>Piper Jaffray values it as overweight
My guess? GM could end up 10-18% by the end of the year, but regardless, its dividend makes it a decent hold option.
2. Navios Maritime Acquisition Corporation ($NNA)
The good:
>cheap as fuck ($1.48 a share as of 11pm EST on July 7), meaning GREAT dividend yield (13.61%)
>since 2010, dividends have been a consistent $0.05 per share per quarter, meaning if you put $1000 into this then you get well over $100 per year in dividends
>mean and median target both would be >100% increases
>low PE, P/B, and PEG ratios
The bad:
>Wells Fargo downgraded them this year from outperform to under
>negative levered free cash flow
>their business is crude oil transport via tankers, and if prices fall, then they will lose revenue when companies renegotiate pricing
Given oil uncertainty, their price could drop if oil drops. However, if oil goes up, then they will do great. Regardless, that dividend is incredible, and even the lowest target is still higher than it is right now (though not by much). This seems like a great buy to me.
3. Braskem S.A. ($BAK)
The good:
>positive levered free cash flow
>petrochemical company that produces thermoplastic resin (largest producer in the Americas), so cheap oil is good for them
>BoA/Merrill upgraded them this year from neutral to buy
>leader in US polypropylene market, which is used to make plastics chairs, lab equipment, Tic-Tac lids, etc., so there will always be a demand for their stuff
>lowest target represents a 45% gain
The bad:
>very inconsistent dividend, swings up and down
>dividend paid only once per year, sometimes not at all
>debt is around 5.5 times the cash
This is a stock that I would buy and hold not for the dividend, but for the price growth. The mean target represents a 51% increase, and the median is a 54% increase. Considering the fact that they produce something with consistent demand, I see this as a strong stock to hold.
Anyone thinking gun stock are going to jump tomorrow after the shooting in Dallas? Shit is going to be Orlando 2.0

technical analysis fag here, even tho crypto isn't exactly like forex/stock, there is strong signs of a huge uptrend
I love the stability Trumpcoin is showing right now. Those insane value rises and drops have proven themselves to be too much for many bag holders, so I think a steady value increase is preferable to steep increases, at this time.

It's survived about 2 short period dumps by large bag holders and it also survived the long weekend of mistakes which shows really helps reduce risk because it can hold its ground
Things to do once I get rich:
Convince my father to suicide.
Torture my uncle and see him rage out like a 5 year old till he breaks and gets genuinely scared of everything.

Cure my brother of autism.
Rule the entertainment industry
Rule the material resource industry.
Take control of a third world country and fix it.
Rule over the world with my philosophy full of standards.
Promote biology over technology.
Change the school and education system.

You just buy from alibaba and sell on Ebay or Amazon?
Which of the two is the best?
The alibaba Minimum Order Quantities got me fucked up. I need to invest like $4k before I even know if I'm gonna get any sales.
I saw some of you making money on ebay in another thread a while ago, how do you do it?
Amazon is easier/less bull shit, but the customer is always right, even when they want to steal your shit, and get a refund while keeping the item.
Ebay sucks, but has no weiners policy. caveat emptor methodology.
>>1367204
How the hell do you find something that isn't already being sold?
>>1367235
I build my own shit to sell, but I sell on Etsy. Amazon/Ebay are the Wal-Mart/Kmart, respectively, of online shopping. Selling stuff to poor people is too much of a headache.
