How do you find investors?
I want to pitch my app idea that I can develop to someone who has the money to make it popular. Where can I find these people?
Have you tried going on the show shark tank?

Hello /biz/.
I am hoping to get into freelance work soon, preferably in the web/graphic design sector. Do you have any recommendations for resources referring to improving my skills in these two fields, and building a strong portfolio for my first clients?
>inb4 oversaturated market, have fun getting btfo by more skilled/experienced designers
The area I live in is actually very under-appreciated in these fields, which is one of the main reasons I want to start.
Also, freelance general I guess.
>>1371262
problem with freelance.
its not done when you say its done.
its done when your computer illiterate client says its done. and you may not get paid till then .
>>1371262
oh hey anon, i said i wanted to heading to be sea breeze blue, not navy,
also , i want a digital flapping balloon man on every page , with the faces of all my cats on it.....

This website's content may look like a joke to you, but believe me, in the last 8 years I saw enough shit like these to know that most of this is probably true:
http://clientsfromhell.net/
The difficult part of freelancing is not actually the "coding" or "designing", but to:
- get clients
- create a reasonable contract
- get them to actually pay you
This is why you can make a lot more by freelancing.
How do I into working from home? I have a job as a web developer right now, but I fucking hate commuting to work. Are there a lot of remote programming jobs out there and how easy/difficult are they to get?

>>1371640
yea , seriously tho,
nut up and
create your own job
whats the worst that happens, you file bankruptcy and start over?
the best that happens? you sustain urself as your own boss doing what you love?
>>1371648
Sure, I am working on a game on the side that will hopefully make me money one day, but in the meantime you need this thing called "a job" to survive.
Part of the reason why I want to work from home is so that I can get an extra 2 hours each day to work on my own shit. That comes to an extra 500 hours a year that are otherwise wasted doing absolutely nothing.
Wait, did they actually sell credit default swaps on Italy and Greece?
deutsche is way more corrupt than any american bank
this shit will go down hard on 27th or few days before it when insiders panic and tell their relatives, they cant kick the can further any more
sell everything now or enjoy posting sadfrogs after its all gone down the drain and im buying quality stocks for 2009 low prices
Would the panic make gold go up? (in addition to brexit unstability)
Nothing to do with dating though.
Should i let an indian developper do it for me or let an overpriced westerner do it ?
I'm pretty sure that pajeet knows more than any of you.
How much will it cost to make a "swiping app" ?

Any coin collectors in here? Could you give me a link which teaches me how to git gud at finding rare coins, especially non-US coins? I have a whole batch of romanian, polish, russian, england, spain coins but no idea how much they're worth.
Also how do I recognize if they're the real thing?
Avid and long time coin collect here. I have been collecting coins for over 60 years since I received my first rare coin from my grandfather when I was 5. The only way to become a true master coin collector is the get actual first hand experience with the coins. The only person you can trust is yourself in the coin trading world is yourself because coin traders are notorious for giving bad deals on coins. The most important 3 rules for coin collecting at the three T's. Ting - the sound coins make when hit against a hard surface. Taste - this one is self explanatory. Touch
>>1370943
65 year old anon. how the fuck do you put up with us
>>1370921
Op whatever you do don't polish or clean them
>I have a whole batch of romanian, polish, russian, england, spain coins but no idea how much they're worth.
Just look up the coin (or recognizable features if you don't know what kind of coin it is) on google. There are a ton of websites that index that sort of thing.
The dates and mint are really important so find a magnifying glass. And should also be easy to find info on either common signs of counterfeit or legitimacy for that particular coin.
That will give you a general idea of the worth and rarity, obviously ebay will give you a more precise answer once you know what the coin is.
>>1370943
>Taste - this one is self explanatory
kek thought you meant literally taste it for a second
How do you avoid getting ripped off? I'm afraid if I go to a coin store without anything in mind they'll take me for chump. And for buying is an established coin store going to be better than a Cash4Gold type place?
I've only bought bullion off the internet.
>buy clothes and shit from japan because top quality things for cheap
>brexit happens
>yen skyrockets
>everything costs at least 20$ more
When this will stop /biz/, i need new clothes ;_;
USD/Yen went from around 118 to 102 after surprise negative interest rates in Japan central bank. It had nothing to do with Brexit. It was also totally counter intuitive to what they were trying to achieve as well I think.
>>1370933
really? I tought it was because of brexit and people moving capitals from EUR and GBP to yen because considered safer. As you can see, the chart shows the dramatic drop happened between 23 and 24 of June.
I'm talking about EUR btw, sorry for using $ in OP, i understand it was misleading
Apparently Yen has been considered safe haven after brexit.

What is inflation? Is iy good or bad? Is it avoidable? What areeeeee the greatests policies to fight against it?
>>1370858
trumpcoin
>>1370858
should i ask to /pol/
1. "Inflation is a sustained increase in the general price level of goods and services in an economy over a period of time" -Wikipedia
For example, I buy a coffee for $1, inflation may cause the price to increase to $1.03 (based on average inflation in most developed countries) the next year.
2. Inflation isn't generally considered bad, unless it gets way out of hand (see Zimbabwean Dollar, German Mark, etc.). It is however, a lot better than the alternative, deflation. Deflation causes people to want to save money and stop spending, slowing economic growth.
Inflation is the opposite, it encourages people to purchase goods now because the price may go up. High inflation does cause problems for people on fixed incomes or those who have most of their assets in a savings account (like the elderly or the poor).
3. Well prices either inflate, deflate or nothing changes. It is not avoidable in any realistic sense.
4. You can pick one of three options,
"Monetary policy – Higher interest rates. This increases cost of borrowing and discourages spending. This leads to lower economic growth and lower inflation.
Tight fiscal policy – Higher income tax and / or lower government spending, will reduce aggregate demand, leading to lower growth and less demand pull inflation
Supply side policies – These aim to increase long-term competitiveness, e.g. privatization and deregulation may help reduce costs of business, leading to lower inflation." -The Economist

fuck this apologise meme, it never makes any sense, you are implying that somehow it is a crime to short a failing bank and that I am contributing to the economic crisis when it is all market forces and the invisible hand, I am not a bad person I am just bursting a bubble that was going burst anyway, it might as well be now before it gets any larger, I didn't do anything wrong
