In theory but in reality as I have seen its a pain in the ass to short, they get restrictions so you can't use margin and a lot of the time there are no shares to short. I wanted to short DRYS but my broker had no shares and so I missed out on 90% gains.

Okay /biz/. I'm sick of being poor, deprived, slaved and depressed. I've turned 19 and I realise I want to get into investments, specifically real estate. I suffer from depression and I said to myself last year that if things don't change for the positive, I'll kill myself at 40. I'll do this because of the dread I've seen from the working world growing up and I never thought there was an alternative for me, I'll just do CS and be a code monkey for 20 years, but now I've come to this decision to change my perspective.
The business and financial world is very foreign to me, so I'm desperate to learn at this point. I just need credible advice, places to start, online courses, etc. I live with my Mom and I receive €80/week of social welfare, so I'm not exactly loaded and I live in Ireland but I'm not shy of international investment. If you help, you might just save my life and I'll be eternally greatful to anyone in the thread, even the shitposters.

Thanks, the name had to include Fish and not just reef even though we grow corals otherwise people would ligitmatly think we are a grow op. which uses very similar/same equipment.

Also, I would like to commend you for actually DOING SOMETHING USEFUL. This, with good marketing/pricing, should be a promising business. I've been to a couple of fortune 500/large private investment firms who have aquariums in the lobby. You bet your ass those guys are paying top dollar to make sure there isnt a speck on the glass or that nothing is malfunctioning.
/biz/ could learn from this... while 99% of posts here are whining/begging for advice on "affliated marketing", "youtube vids", "shitcoin """trading""", "NEETbux", and other associated cancer, you are getting into a space that 99% of people have no clue how to do/ are too lazy to do themselves.

How do I get out of the poor person mentality once and for all?
I know the steps and path towards personal development and growth but I just seem reluctant to take them. I'm in 0 debt but I'm barely making ends meet with my current income, however I have the strongest desire to buy WoW and just spend dozens of hours playing with my old guild or go out every weekend, little things like these. It's just like a constant pressure in the back of my head to make irrational choices. Any advice on this subject?

Make double-sided Political(or whatever, but politics seems like a good market) T-SHIRTS.
For example, on one side you could have one message/imagery, but if you look at it from another side it has a totally difficult message.
Like for example if you look at the t-shirt from the left, it shows a picture of Bernie Sanders with bottom text of "Hope. Change". But if you look at it from a different side it's an image of Adolf Hitler's head and it says "Real change" or something.

tl;dw he says 8% index fund returns are a myth when one accounts for inflation and taxes. much later in the video he says that if you are unwilling to put in the time to truly scout out stocks, then you are wasting your money investing.
while i understand both of these points, if i wanted to make some money, should i invest in an index fund and just accept i'm making around 4-5%?

Obamacare allows pharmaceutical companies to charge excessive amounts of money for drugs which is added on to premiums. Now my question is would this work without Obamacare? could Martin Shkreli get away with price gouging a drug this high if people had to actually pay themselves?

Unless we strike gold every single dime will be reinvested for equipment and supplies. For example one of my best friends is terrified of alligators. So rather than respect his fear or help him to get over it, we bought one and put it in bed with him and recorded it. Had no idea a human being could walk on their asscheeks. He had a full blown fucking seizure trying to escape.

I also am good friends with an english and marketing grad. So that may help to play on the facepace and twitter meme to drive traffic somehow.
I've also been considering trying to start a brand as i am personal friends with a few b list celebs and professional athletes. Not trying to brag or anything. But them posting up on social media saying "you should check out anons shop" would be enough to break even.
All of that coupled with the fact dudes like tai lopez throw investor parties and i know a lot of rich guys who are fucking stupid with money it should prove to be a good opportunity. Love or hate the guy being at a party with 300 social media icons because of him would mean a lot for my company shoukd this launch to the moon.
I also understand its a lot of work and im not gonna through uo a shitty video shot with a 20 year old razor and make a billion dollars.
Going long term here. I want to build a brand and social media following so i can wage cuck less and enjoy my life more.
