I have 25k in cash, 38k in taxable brokerage account, 21k in tIRA, and 71k in 401k. I'm 28 yrs old. I have a BSEE but have lost most of my technical knowledge due to not using it at work (DoD). Wondering if I have enough money to quit my current job without anything lined up or should I wait until I have an offer. Or is grad school an option. Also thinking about getting a civil engineering degree. Or a Masters in CSE. Unless you have a PE, the market for EE's (outside of defense industry) is pretty shit. Single, no wife or kids. No debt, mortgage or car. Please respond.

You have enough money, anon. It's a matter of whether you want to stain your career with a gap. Unless you're literally being asked to commit murder, I'd just find my next step before leaving the current job.

I have seen far better cloud mining sites which I know to be scams.

I brought an item (electronic device) two and a half years ago with 2 years of warranty. The item broke last year and I went and got it replaced from the retailer.

It recently broke again. Is it covered by the original 2 years or the 2 years since I got the new one?

To decrease the amount of theft of plastic jumping frogs Chuck e Cheese has decided to tie the use of their tokens to Bitcoin. The franchise says it will improve sales and boost throughput. Since the tokens look like gold they think their customers will adapt quickly and will learn to love the changes.

>Be Coinbase
>Implement an option buy with a fee AND still have to wait 9 days for bank transfer
>Don't make the Gdax exchange obvious at all
>Trick newfags into paying lots of fees for their coins and STILL having to wait 9 days when they could sell on Coinbase's own exchagne Gdax at virutally no fee.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAHAHA YOU fucking newfags giving their money to the one Bitcoin operator that works with the Feds and bans people for sending their Bitcoin to the wrong places, when places like cex.io are faster and easier to use without those downsides. You stupid motherfuckers.

Let's consider this. By buying with your bank account you get to have your coins on Coinbase after 9 days at the price which you bought them. If you instead instant-buy, you could have made more than the 3 percent fee in those 9 days and it would have been negligible. OR YOU STUPID MOTERFUCKERS you could use the 9 days to import the money into your Coinbase wallet without buying the coins and then buy them at whatever the BTC/ETH price is in 9 days (not very different from today) on Coinbase's own Gdax exchange for virtually no fee at all.

So the ONLY reason to buy with bank account on Coinbase is if you are CERTAIN that the price of the coin will GO UP in 9 days but are convinced you would be unable to save that 1.5% difference. That's how FUCKING STUPID YOU PEOPLE ARE.

STOP DOING THIS SHIT YOU FUCKING NIGGERS AND NEWFAGS.

Fucking newfags...

Stop using Coinbsae and go to another site altogether you stupid fuck. There are better ones like cex.io that are easy as fuck to use and have the instant buys and all the same shit.

I'm currently a freshman Econ major and after taking macro and micro courses, I find myself way more into macro than micro. I'm specifically interested in topics pertaining to monetary policy and have applied a lot of what I've learned in macro to investing.

Are there jobs for macroeconomists on Wall Street? I don't have anything against micro but I would ideally like to work in the financial industry and if they only hire microeconomists I'd settle for doing that if it meant getting to work on Wall Street.

>Are there jobs for macroeconomists on Wall Street?

Yes, but if you want to work as an "Economist" you'll have to get a PhD or at the very least a Masters.
>>
>>1918602
I'd be fine getting a masters, but a PhD is a little iffy. I always associated PhD economics with working in academia, which while the research would be fun, I'd make a really shitty professor.

How essential is getting a PhD?
>>
>>1918598
Hey I went to Wharton and I know loads of people that went to Wall Street.

Unless you were my classmate, you aren't gonna work on Wall Street as a fresh Econ major out of college you fucking freshman.

You're literally a fucking baby. Go study the economy as a full-time job for 5-8 years alone AFTER you get your PhD, not your fucking babby bachelor, then apply to work on Wall Street son.

Unless, you know, you were my classmate at Wharton. Were you, by chance? Cause then I'll give you a 50% chance.

I just left a job that I only had for 50 days. One of the main reasons I left is because they pretty much outright lied to me about my job responsibilities to get me on board and then hoped I wouldn't leave when the job was completely different now that I was hired. Another part of the reason I left is that they were VERY disorganized, and had basically just hit the complete reset button on the entire company, having fired over 50% of the team in between the time I signed my employment agreement and my start date, bringing in all new people. A little bit of it was personal reasons.

However, my boss is a very kind, talented, person, that I had worked with in the past, and I was a little nicer to her about why I left. She offered to give me a glowing recommendation wherever I go. Should I take her recommendation and not be as transparent about the disaster I walked into, or what?

If I am open about how bad it was there, it could hurt her client base drastically and prevent her from getting more business.

Take recommendation and say what you said here. The company went through some huge changes between when you were hired and when you started and it wasnt for you.
You get the recommendation, stay honest, and dont have to bad mouth.
>>
Never bad mouth

>>1918489
Don't bad mouth, just be as straight forward as possible as to why you left, give the previous company the benefit of the doubt
