I've done one year out of 5 for a bachelor of computer engineering and a bachelor of commerce (finance major).
Commerce bores the crap out of me, I'm considering switching to Bachelor of Electronic Engineering and a Bachelor of Science (math).
Can these degrees still lead me to a career in finance?
I currently work at an accounting firm doing data entry and sometimes I've played around with their finance models, would this alone demonstrate to future employers that I am capable and interested in working in the industry despite lacking the typical qualifications for our country (Bachelor of Commerce)?
When I am talking about finance I'm not talking about deal making or what not, the finance type I want to end up in is wealth management, quant or investing/trading.
No, only humanities
If you're in physics or mathematics you're in luck, you can go into econophysics with physics and math is fairly obvious. If you go into statistics and applied high level math you're set

I just invested 500$ to a long time friend, so he can pursue a rap career. Also he is black.
Did I just buy a slave /biz/?
>>1921119
You just lost $500. Nothing more than that.
How exactly did you "invest" $500 into him? Is he under any legal obligation to pay you anything?
>>1921122
/thread. Gave a nigger a chance to be on SoundCloud and make music nobody will listen too.
>tfw /biz/ didn't get a merger
Now is the perfect time to make acquisitions.
Who should /biz/ merge with?
ur mum lol

Sci or tech. That way we can be the Steve jobs to their Steve Wozniak
and ive always thought i was too late to the game. right now it seems over saturated and pointless.
Im willing to put like $500 into a small portfolio. Am i just going to lose this money?
>>1921075
>Am i just going to lose this money
Yes.
Gold/Silver is the answer at this point.
With stawks at all time highs and crypto at all time autism I would say hedging and seeing what happens next is the best bet.

Hoping it does. Sold out at 31, bought back in at 2800. Planning to do the same again.

Me too man. Been doing it for the last week hah. It's been working good.
This is without a doubt the cheapest coin with THE MOST potential right now.
It is a GPU mineable (non-premined) decentralized cryptocurrency utilizing Proof of Work using less electricty than other proof of work gpu mineable coins.
The groestlcoin network consumes far less energy, maintains stronger security, and rewards miners in more sustainable ways than sha256, scrypt, x11 and x13 based coins.
The algorithm expends even less energy (even lower than X11 algo) and will be the new greener home of GPU miners as it offers greater hashing results with less energy and heat.
Block reward (blocks 0 .. 120,000): 512 GRS, decreased 6% every week
Block reward (blocks 150,000 and up): 25 GRS, decreased 1% every week
Minimum block reward: 5 GRS

With that said. This coin is ~600 sat on bittrex (HIGHLY UNDERVALUED) and the word is that it is set to be pumped next week and then added to polo.
This is not your typical pump and dump. This is a legitimate coin of value that will be skyrocketing in price the next two weeks, and then maybe double once added to polo.
Im amazed this hasnt been talked about on /biz/ before.
All of you people that want to get in on a coin that is about to blow up but afraid of the dump because they are usually shit coins of no value. This is your coin. your welcome. screencap this post for future verification when it hits 5k sat.
About the algorithm
Is an iterated hash function, where the compression function is built from two fixed, large, different permutations. The design of Grostl is transparent and based on principles very different from those used in the SHA-family.The two permutations used are constructed using the wide trail design strategy, which makes it possible to give strong statements about the resistance of Grostl against large classes of cryptanalytic attacks. Moreover, if these permutations are assumed to be ideal, there is a proof for the security of the hash function. – Can and is accelerated by the hardware AES support present in most modern Intel CPUs, which helps reduce the efficiency gap between a CPU and other implementations. Groestl (old GPU/CPU) – Groestl makes wide range of trade-offs between throughput, latency, and power consumption. Because of this, groestl uses less power per hash than other algos. Due to the less complex hashing, groestl performs well on older GPU’s as well as CPU’s. More info: http://www.groestl.info/Groestl.pdf – Is the single most efficient algorithm for GPUs in the cryptocurrency market. It has been shown to have the lowest power consumption, heat and noise of recently released algorithms, allowing for a quieter and more effective mining environment. – Is set to be the future of mining, Groestlcoin is proud to be the first to utilize this new efficient algorithm. – Is a recently proposed cryptographic hash algorithm that has common structure and features with the Advanced Encryption Standard (AES). The objective of this paper is to present the design of a high speed joint implementation of Grostl and AES with minimal resources using a pipelining method. T

This is actually an amazing coin for the price I bought some a couple weeks ago and was just going to hold it but now if it's getting added to Polo all the better. I would get a few
teach me how to successfully get away with credit card fraud /biz/. I'm uhhhh.... writing a paper on the topic
shamelessly self bumping
The problem with credit card fraud is it tends to be taken reasonably seriously by the courts, it's easy for judges to understand and find whatever precedent they feel like. You're better off with a more obscure fraud so if / when you do get busted there's a good chance of getting off light. It's a real cunt of a thing to have on your record though and will impact your future, it also isn't very nice. If you're smart enough to pull off a successful criminal career you'll be just fine in legitimate business.
>>1921328
legitimate business is no fun though
i don't need a degree for income, i want a degree for personal growth, a better understanding of the world, and the experience

This coin is going to revolutionize the music industry. It cuts out the middlemen, allowing for listeners to pay musicians directly for their music on a Pay Per Listen basis. THIS COMPLETELY BTFO's the existing music industry, as well as YouTube and iTunes and other Music distributors.
The coin is ridiculously underpriced, and in an early stage of development. But once inflation controls are implemented, the price will skyrocket. There is real demand for this technology, as a way to benefit artists and consumers by reducing distribution costs in real time.

You still need a platform like Spotify to play the music through. Do you think someone is going to create software that doesn't suck dick and then not want a cut? Also why do we need a musiccoin when you could just have the same platform and pay with Bitcoin or fiat?
>>1920877
How does Musicoin have value when I can download all the music I want for free without DRM built into the currency?
>>1920888
Good point.
Afaik, the reason you would use this coin as opposed to fiat or BTC to pay for music would be the fact that Musicoin has built-in smart contract technology, based upon the Ethereum blockchain, while BTC has yet to implement this tech. You need to use blockchain tech to decentralize the payment system.
Speaking of which, I suppose there would be some app where you could purchase music for a small fee to the app developer, but the costs would still be far lower than traditional music distribution channels.
>>1920895 Sure, you can get all your music for free. I'm one of the people who does that. But the music industry still exists and profits through selling digital recordings, so the market is there. Combine this with giving indie artists the chance to make some money without having to rely on Youtube or ad-revenue, and you have the possibility of changing the music scene from the ground up.
Ight biz, recently I took your advice when ethereum was at $20 and made a shit ton of money. I have an extra $500, what other coins do you reccomend and why.
