Every year I grow most of my vegetables from seed.
This year, I have Tomatos (white-purple), Kiwanos and Achocha.
But I'll get a few more soon
Also, I sometimes grow (or at least try to) other plants, like Dragonfruit, true lotus or redwood (yes, the giant ones)

did you try to look for it? i had two budgies that got out, outside, and they were both back in the house in less than 5 minutes... one never left my garden, and she let me pick her up and put her back in her cage... the other (her mate) flew back after flying past the neighbor's house, and i found him just behind the garden fence where he let me pick him up and bring him back home (he called to me when i whistled to him and i found him that way)
don't rely on clipped wings ever either btw, my conure once jumped off me and ended up in a tree top... she jumped from tree to tree flock calling to me every time i couldn't find her (she'd only stop when she was in my line of vision then she was clucking and purring 'til i'd tell her to get down and then she was flying to a new tree and repeating the process) for an hour, flying around outside, until she decided to jump back up on my shoulder and come home with me (the walk back she was just cuddling and purring like nothing happened, but now she never goes out without a harness, even though she did hundreds of times before that) they can fly way better than you'd think with clipped wings...
i'm sure to an extent i got lucky, but considering every bird i've had that's gotten out came back home it seems like the odds of finding your bird aren't impossible... my conure is tame, but my budgies were only semi tame
so look for your bird, maybe ask people in your area you might find it... and if not see if your other bird seems lonely or depressed and consider getting it a friend...
you just gotta spend time with your bird to tame it, even if it's just sitting in its vicinity talking and whistling for a bit (when they make noise make noise back) handfeeding helps too, and sharing food (eat something near the bird, and offer it to them)
We got Easter bunnies. How the hell do I take care of them properly? They have a cage, rabbit food, and each other. Both are supposedly male. What kind of toys do I need to get them? Right now they have newspaper as bedding. What is the proper bedding? Why do they poop so much? How do I socialize them? Do they like running on wheels? Why do people do this? ;-;

Hello. I don't normally ask for help but my parents bought a puppy. I think it's a Pitbull.we have had it for two days now.
My parents say it was only 6 weeks old when they took it
I've been googling around for proper puppy care and it seems like this was too early and it could fuck the puppy up. Well, this became a little evidenr tonight. The Puppy slept in her crate next to my bed and would not stop whimpering. I tried to ignore it and when I didn't ignore it, I would take her outside for a few minutes and then take her straight back to the crate
She would pee a little then go back to whimpering
Any way, My Dad gave her food at water at 2 AM and she still was whimpering so I took her out once more then put her crate in my parents room
My question is, What can I do to combat the damage my parents have done to the puppy if any? She's a nice puppy and likes to be held but I think she is spoiled because we let her sleep in our arms insteas of crate training her ontop of being taken from her litter too soon
On a side note, the "breeder" got the rest of the pups taken to a rescue because he couldn't take care of them
Piece of shit probably just wanted to get a little money from the dogs so he rushed the puppies out ASAP

It's just a baby, have patience and CONSTANT supervision. Get it to the vet as SOON as you can for a check up. Cut costs by getting boosters from a feedstore or petstore. Start socializing with other polite dogs as soon as possible after she's had her boosters.

look at the underside of the paw, you should be able to tell how far you can cut them. Just clip the nail, not the part with the nerve endings and blood vessels

Don't use human clippers, it could damage the claw you want to keep. Human clippers are flat because human nails are flat but dogs' are circular. Applying the flat clipper would put uneven pressure on and crush the claw strangely.

Petsmart/Petco will do it for like 10 bucks. Or for 10 bucks you could buy a pair of clippers. Truth be told, most dogs take a lot of familiarization training to let you cut their nails. It's not as simple as it sounds. You have to exhaust all their energy beforehand, be careful of your finger placement on their pads because they're ticklish, give lots of treats, and all that will ONLY work if they are cool with it. If they're not cool with it, you have to show them that it will not hurt them through constant positive reinforcement of the experience.
Frankly, I'd let Petco/Petsmart do it. They just strap them down and cut the fuckers. In and out in 5 minutes, plus you don't look like the bad guy. Score some dog treats on the way out. A good day is had by all.

So I'm the guy who posted a few weeks ago about just bringing pic related (Violet) home. She's incredibly smart, cute as fuck and well-mannered (almost as an adult!) in the house.
The problem is that I think I have to "re-bond" with Violet, as she seems to be afraid of me because I am more "stern" whereas my parents are more friendly and permissive.

She's 10 1/2 weeks old, and been home two weeks. Is it possible for me to re-bond with her so that I become "her" human rather than my mum? My dad is retired so he's here all day and babies the shit out of her, while my mum works full-time but is the "dog whisperer" of the family.

We got her originally for me, to become a seizure-response service dog. The 8th-10th weeks of life are normally the human-dog bonding period, and I think I screwed that up by setting my expectations too high for her age and not giving enough affection and praise in return. I want, no, NEED her to bond with me so she can help me in most any situation I may find myself in.

Or you could put out something that smells like you or the mom. Whoever or whatever their favorite thing is, find something that has that scent, be it a shirt you have been wearing all day or you cat's favorite blanket and put it outside so the kitten can find its way back home via scent.
Don't put the mom out or you might be missing 2 cats instead of 1. Also, get your cats fixed

Had to put down my lil' leopard gecko Sparky today. He was such a good one. Such an inquisitive and all around super chill dude. Couldn't have asked for a better pet. He got to eat his favorite treat today before going which was watermelon! As soon as it touched his lips he blew up with excitement and went to town on the little pieces i bit off for him. He was about 14 years old. Had a nice long life and I can't complain about the times I had with him. Only wish I would've spent a little more time with him...sucks seeing an empty cage already. Just expect him to be there looking out his logs going "the hell you doing? the hell am I doing?". Feels bad handing him off to the vet and just seeing him stare back at your like where the hell am I going man and why am i not coming with you!?!? Nonetheless share pictures of pets you've had and stories with them?
I remember holding him on the couch and having to take it apart two times because I let him get into it ><. Dude just loved getting into trouble and exploring. Also loved biting my neck if I took him for walks and rested him on my shoulder like a parrot.
Pic related. A week or so before when he was shedding and I filled him skin up with water while it was still on him!

So this little fellow was inside my porch. When i opened the door it got scared and started jumping all over the place.
Gave it some cat treats which it instantly ate picked her up and she was scared but calmed down very fast.
Let her inside but the other cat (just 1 other one) started hissing and growling but its an old bitchy female. Likes to go out and get burs in its fur.(have cleaned up the yard since but she is angry today after getting bur in tail that i had to use scissors to remove.)
Soon as new cat came in it found the food and ate half of an entire bowl very fast explored a bit and proceeded to sleep on my bed.
Since then it has done nothing but sleep on my bed and ocassionally get something to eat.
She did throw up a few times but it seems to have stopped. Unsure how to train it to use litter box sincr it is still young.
Loves attention and wont leave my side and returns if it goes or is put outside. Doesnt seem to understand the concept of playing with string mouse or dead bir toys.
Talks alot and follows wherever i go.
No marks or signs of fixing.
I have plenty of food for it so far, going to buy scratch post and small cat tree tommorrow.
What do?
Can anyone tell me more about this type of cat?

Get ahold of a vet as soon as possible, newborns are VERY fragile and VERY easy to kill on accident. Google newborn abandoned kittens right now so you can avoid harming it, but basically it's going to need kitten formula, kept warm, fed every two hours and helped to pee and poop with a warm wet towel rubbed over the genitals. It also needs a lot more care than that, but start googling that shit right now till you can get it into a vets office.
It may also be dehydrated, try finding a dropper and gently and slowly giving it some lukewarm water. It's very easy to over do it and they can drown, so do it slowly. Also, absolutely NO DAIRY. Cat's bodies can't handle dairy well, and a newborn could get sick and die from it.

Sup guys. I dont know if this is the correct board for this.
I'm totally new at prospecting for gold.
I've found some silver and just a teenie weenie bit of gold.
But i keep finding these black rocks in the quartz rocks i take home.. They always form as cubes. Looks metallic. They are not magnetic. And the oxidation is red/brownish.
Does someone know what it is?

check it for gold as well. I think you dissolve in sulphuric acid and then filter? or you can run a straight wet assay using aqua regia or a fire assay with a furnace hot enough to melt iron and silica.
