Carnivore/Herbivore?

But no, it is an interesting question. I'm sure most people would give illogical answer.

Because being stuffed to the gills with birdseed makes it difficult to flee from the giant predator approaching you.

It's what I thought too you smarty smart ass but it takes 3 minutes to empty the whole thing, that's not advantageous at all.

It really looke like he's ''It's chill bro, I'll just put it back''
>>
>>2133369
Look, all I know is I did the same thing to a snake once. I saw a snake swallowing a toad in my flower bed with just the legs sticking out. I squatted down to watch and must have triggered some response, because the snake spent the next few minutes regurgitating the entire toad and then slithered off. There's some sort of instinctive response occurring here and it's not "oh deary me, I got caught eating out of the bird feeder. I'm so embarrassed."

Shit guys, found this little crowbro by the side of the road, probably hit by a car.

Do you know of any way to fix him up or is he too far into snap city to ever squat again?

The wound seems shallow, but dat leg is fucked up.

>tfw if I save him I'll have a new crow bro to make gains along with
By the way his parents are outside watching thr house since I took him in. Two adult city crows, just standing outside on a tree and watching.

i don't own one but my friend does and i did some research. from what ive gathered they are

>affictionate but not too needy
>good talkers usually
>quite smart

also they arent so big so theyre easier to maintain than, say, an african grey, but they arent too small either, theyre just the right size imho. Also i personally find them very cute and aesthetically pleasing. thats why i put them up there

Now what? Haven't seen a single local posting for birds since I started watching, and the only pet stores with birds I've been able to find in the state are located in a hellhole of a city (It beats out Somalia in practically all violent crime) that's a good 9 hour drive away.

Hi /an/,

My girlfriend has two conures, a green cheek (pic related) and a sun conure.

Over the past couple of months, the green cheek has been plucking his belly feathers, and they're turning into this grey fluff (see pic).

Does anyone know what's going on, or what to do?

feather plucking could be a sign of boredom or unhappiness, something could also be wrong take the bird to the vet to rule out any health issues, buy it some toys, get it some foraging stuff, keep it engaged and give it extra attention

In a couple hours we're going to put my kitty Oreo to sleep. She's about 14 years old, she has recently gone completely blind, and has also not been eating or drinking for the past few days and she has gotten weaker.

I love her so much, I'm going to stay with her through the whole procedure like how she has been by my side through the tough times in my life..

Rest In Peace, Oreo
I love you

next week, when you get a new cat, try not to give it such a shitty name. nothing anyone has ever loved that is not a cookie is named oreo.
>>
>>2136021
That was the name she was given when we got her
>>
>>2136021
Though your an asshole I can't disagree Oreo is a shitty name sorry OP

I have a ten year old cat. She's amazing, in great physical health, and a sweetheart.

She has always been skittish around strangers from day one. It used to be that she would go an hide when the doorbell rang, or when someone she wasn't familiar with came over, but that shit changed drastically a couple years ago.

Our neighbor rang the doorbell one day, and the cat went absolutely batshit insane. Hissing, screaming, claws out, puffed out tail, would take it out on me when I tried to pick her up, the whole nine yards. It was completely out of left field, because she had NEVER reacted like this before. She ended up sitting in front of the door "guarding it" for like the next twelve hours, and if I tried to pick her up or distract her, she flat out refused to move.

So the last two years, she has had this same exact reaction to the doorbell every single time it rings. It never fails. When we have food delivered, we have to lock her up in a closet. We had a repairman over working on our fridge a couple weeks ago, and I had to load her in her crate and I just drove her around for an hour and a half, because if a stranger was in the house, she would have had a meltdown that put Chernobyl to shame. And today, I could tell someone had rang the doorbell when I was gone, because I walked in the front door and she immediately pounced and batted at me before she recognized my face.

It's just bizarre, because she's normally so docile and loving, and also due to the fact that this behavior literally came out of nowhere. I know that cats are extremely territorial, but Goddamn. I know that something traumatic had to have triggered this, but I have no idea what. Maybe someone tried to break in one time and she scared them off? It's honestly the only theory that I have.

I've talked to the vet about it. I tried those bullshit hormonal plug-in diffusers, and when that didn't work, the vet talked about putting her on anxiety meds, which I flat out refused to do.

So yeah, just wanted to get some thoughts on this. Anyone here experienced anything similar?

Pic related, it's her guarding me from the evil doorbell.

I don't want to dope her up over the relatively rare occurrence of someone ringing the doorbell.

Hey /an/ I'm new here but I have a question.
I have a dog named bowie, who is a mutt (husky/Australian shep). I've had Bowie for about a year and he's very friendly with other dogs (training/daycare/etc). I recently moved in with one of my friends who has a dog named PJ (coonhound/blue heeler). PJ is the same way, good with other dogs, well trained, etc.

Lately we've been having issues with food. They both get super defensive over the smallest crumb and get into fights with eachother, any suggestions on how we can help them get a long?

hand feed them, have them sit before every meal. separate them when you're feeding them. when you see them engaging in that sort of behaviour break it up and redirect their attention to something more positive
>>
>>2135901
we currently do all of that besides hand feeding, they're never aggressive towards us. They're strictly defensive towards each other about food

On my way back home from school, I found an alive bird on the floor, desperately trying to fly. I quickly run home and grab some paper and pick it up noticing it's leg is broke. How do I take care of this bird until we take it to a vet

Put it somewhere dark and quiet or it could die from stress.

Try to call a wildlife rehab near you.

Don't be surprised if it doesn't make it, it could have been hit and has internal injuries.
>>
it's probably not going to make it
>>
>>2135798
Put it in a dark box, poke holes in it, it's definitely stressed as fuck. It might die on you unrelated to its injury just because it's freaking out.
