Hey guys. Saw this little dude on my night stand on his back. Tried to help it up and it seemed pretty retarded. Wasn't able to stand up (kept rolling onto its back) until I finally managed to get it upright after a lot of effort.
no clue what kind of bug it is but it's pretty! Ended up flying away. Anyone know what this is?
Geographic area is central florida btw

Anybody else think leopards are the lamest big cat?
>spots like a cheetah but not fast like a cheetah
>not the mascot for cheetos
>not majestic or legendary like lions
>tigers are way more strong and badass
>jaguars are stronger and have the most powerful bite
what's the point of leopards?
they have level 100 stealth
>>2132951
are they stealthier than other big cats?
>>2132953
all the other cats are winning the darwin award so ye
My cat is an outside cat and its normal for him to leave for a while but this time when he came back he started to chase, hiss and attack his tail, we've taken him to the emergency vet bc it was all bloody and u could see the bone, they have gave him meds and doctored it up and wrapped it, we also had a cone on him for weeks, it seemed to heal and it's been about a year but today we came home to this , I felt up his tail and it is completely fucked all the way up like 5 inches, I think he just licked most of the blood off, wtf do I do?? I love my cat
It's hard to get a good pic with out his biting the shit out of me
>>2132928
>cat gets hurt from being outside
>cat gets fixed by vet
>stick cat outside again
You very obviously "love" your cat.
Hey guys. This mark just appeared on my dog's hind leg. It doesn't seem to hurt her, and she walks fine. I can press on it, and it doesn't bother her. Any idea on what it is?

Who needs a vet when you have a doctor?
Is it sunny dry and hot outside? If so it's a sun spot try vasoline on the sore
If this man can do it, sign me the hell up

There's something wrong with that guy's lens. The constant distortion and how nothing remains in the same perspective as it should me is made me straight up nauseous.
If you look carefully at the behavior of the rabbits and the man, you can see the interesting hierarchy that has been established. The man being the God to the rabbits, their creator, their caretaker. The rabbits all respect and worship the man. The rabbit habitats are strikingly similar looking to nazi concentration camps, this fact adds to the notion that the God, (the man) wants to physiologically instill to the rabbits that he is their provider, and the one who will bring them death, only propping his oppresive regime up and contributing to his absolute authority.
What differences are there between vet grade dog medication and pet store "joint and fitness" medication? The vet obviously seems more trustworthy and the medicine has noticeable effects, but how do I know the stuff from the pet store isn't pseudo-science like the "health and wellness" medication from the market?
>pic is dug
Handsome dug, OP.
What you gotta do is read labels. A lot of pet store medicines are generic versions of brand medicine. Find out both the trade name AND the generic name of the drugs your dog needs, and see if you can get a better deal OTC.
>>2132710
Ty, and the drug is Meloxicam which looks like a simple anti-inflammatory. Is it likely the vet is overpricing? Can you get drugs shipped cheaper as long as you have a valid prescription?
>>2132685
You can get reliable meds from farm stores. It will come in ridiculous quantities and you're going to have to research proper dosing per pound.
Why won't the balance of nature meme not die? Who is to blame for the meme? Christianity?
it's mostly old people and housewifes that spend their entire day gardening.
it's an illusion, most people fall for it.
>>2132468
So it will die out? I have a feeling that young people still believe it
>>2132478
it will only get worse.
this is a weird question /an/ but what do you make of mailing pets?
long story short i replied to a local CL ad about a puppy.....and somehow the owners are on the otherside of the country?
apparently the puppies are healthy but they can't care for them; and so i can adopt them for "free" (if they agree, that is) but I have to pay to have the doggie shipped to me, which is around $300
the whole thing seems sketch, but the puppies look healthy, sound good, and they are the type of dog I want. i also want to help the dogs out since it sounds like their situation sucks
thoughts??

>Watching Inside Amy Schumer

Anyone here own a Barnevelder? I had no clue chickens could be so pretty.
Everyone loves Big Black Cock.
>>2132138
Is this shit real, or is it photoshopped?
>>2132116
Personally, my favorite chicken (appearance wise) is the Sebright Bantam Chicken.
Watch our adorable beagle puppy with big floppy ears run down the stairs with his ears flopping the whole way down. He's so fucking cute, I just died.
That toss at the end. Savage af dog

I have a dilemma /an/
I have been thinking about getting a dog for the past 6 or so months and I think within the next week I'll be ready. The breed I have my heart set on is the Siberian husky, I've read 3 books about them and I feel like I am a pretty good match for one.
Here is the problem,
Currently I live in an appartment, and while it is a dog friendly place, the rescues I've seen all require I have a yard. I volunteer for a rescue so I would rather adopt a dog, even though I could get past that requirement by talking to a breeder.
I know huskys have a lot of energy but I feel like I am active and home enough to be a great pet owner for one. Is it wrong for me to lie and claim I have a yard just to get the breed I want? Should I just talk to a breeder instead?
Huskies are dropped off at animal shelters all the time, and many shelters don't require yards. However, with an animal shelter you will have to be patient and wait a few months, and most animal shelters go by first come first serve rules so you have to act fast if you want one.
>apartment
>Husky
No. I don't believe you've really read books on them. And yes lying about having a yard is shit because no one is going to want to adopt a husky to an apartment dweller.
>>2131404
>I've read 3 books about them and I feel like I am a pretty good match for one.
>Currently I live in an appartment
What the fuck?
>Yeah I've read like three books about tractors and I think I'm pretty informed so I've decided to get one for my beach house
Who here on /an/ owns chickens?
My little brother wants to get a chicken, but I wanted to hear some anecdotal stories from /an/ to see if it's worth getting one for him. Also, we are not sure which breed we should get him, if we do confirm we are getting him one.
Please post pictures of your chickens and what breed they are!
>>2131341
Where do you live? Country/state/city
How big is your backyard?
Can you only have /one/ chicken or are you ready to get two+?
You cant have just one, they need friends
How much are your ready to pay to have chickens?
Full grown or chicks?
>>2131341
Get a buff orpington and a speckled sussex. The two friendliest and tamest breeds, IMHO.
>>2131341
I live inner city and had 4 chickens with my family growing up. They regularly escaped and I was often late to school because I had to recapture them. They were infamous amongst our neighbours and eventually all surrounding houses were fed up and demanded we do something. We decided that the only way to keep them would be to let them out in the afternoon when everyone was home to keep an eye on them but then they were only able to roam for 4/5 hours a day.
They seemed happy enough though and fresh eggs are awesome. Unfortunately, they died pretty horrifically. They caught lice/fleas from somewhere that we tried treating with a couple of different chemicals to know avail. Eventually they started doing that thing where they pick at each others anus's until the guts are hanging out, incur a massive infection and die.
I held them down while dad cut off their heads early in the morning before my mum or little brother woke up. We did the first two separately but after a while decided 3/4 were suffering too much and did the last two in the same morning. I don't think they knew it was coming. and they had a good few years before that.
We named the white and black ones after my Aunties Nell and Kell and the two brown ones were Dorris and Bertha interchangeably.
Was a good experience overall but killing them was hard. I'd recommend, but there is a bit of work in looking after them
