New DLC out today. Anyone knows at what time it becomes available on PSN?
No interest for the current GOTY faggots?
>Want to try a new JRPG
>None of the strategy or depth satisfies me like SMT does
I just want a strategic and punishing JRPG that actually requires me to build my own strategies. I'm not gonna say SMT is hard once you understand the mechanics but I have found myself unable to finish other ones because of this. Is this really the pinnacle?
Last Remnant
What's the jrpg for ps3 where you customized guns?
>>385096485
Resonance of Fate. I would play it but I don't have a PS3.
Did you have the same reaction to Doopliss as them the first time around?
That was one the best chapters.
Still going back and forth was annoying.

>These two somehow went years without ever playing or being spoiled about TTYD despite being """""gamers"""""
Normies continue to amaze me.
>>385096953
This.
I purchased a GC for TTYD at release, I had no reason to own one prior to it and managed to get one cheap as fuck because no one really cared about GC at all then.
TTYD is still one of my favourite games and something I refuse to emulate.
I know this game made for a lot of butthurt on /v/ but can we just stop and appreciate the aiming system in this game?
Using your thumb stick for the general direction and motion control for the percision bit feels great. I mean a mouse is still the vastly superior piece of hardware for aiming but I feel that this is definitely the second best. This should be the standard for console shooting. I played a game that had shooting bits in it after getting used to this and it just felt stiff and clunky as hell.
>>385096327
I had to deactivate the motion controls, because it made aiming (especially with the combination of using thumbstick) harder than it should be. Ended up only using traditional aiming, but the pro controller has rly great sticks.
>>385096327
Yeah, it made it soooo much easier to aim. All games should use this system.

t. Michael J. Fox
Alright /v/, it is time to stop pretending otherwise. Do not be a tier or underaged fag either. Just admit the truth already.
This was the best and most fun game of the MvC games. It even had a completely original boss that was awesome.
Just admit it. MvC2 was the best one.
This kills MvCI
Oh yeah I forgot that nu-/v/ is a bunch of underaged shits that don't play games that came out before 2010.

Love this game tbqh with you fampai
ITT: """""villains""""" that LITERALLY and unironically did nothing wrong
Are there games where you play a character like that? The game tells you you're evil, but you've done nothing wrong.
Name one thing he did wrong

He failed.
and easy to get into
>>385096262
hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm?
>>385096262
Echoes if you want a decent story and somewhat accessible gameplay.
Conquest if you want good gameplay alone.
Awakening is probably an ideal choice for a beginner too.
The rest of Fates doesn't exist.
>>385096262
What he said
>>385096605
What's the general consensus on this, /v/? I was thinking of picking it up.
I'd say its good but if RNG pisses you off easily then its probably not for you.
The game can be a real bastard if you don't plan ahead to minimize risk.
Also it can be a tad grindy sometimes but the devs are making moves to address it.
RNG difficulty isn't even the worst part about it. The grind is.
If you're okay with monotonously repeating the same stages over and over until you've gathered enough resources to upgrade your base and your heroes, you might like it.Then do it three times all over again, because the special mechanic prevents you from using the old heroes on the final stretch of the game, so you have to fully level and gear up at least four parties of four people in order to finish it.
>>385095976
People are going to tell you two things:
>'Fucking RNG bullshit'
>'Risk management'
It's a game about the latter. This is a game that requires heavy player knowledge about all the details and the mechanics, as well as RNG. But, everything is fair enough to the point where if you know the game and how it works, you'll run into no problems, save for the one exceedingly rare scenario where the game just doesn't want you to have a good run.
It's a very solid turn-based game with a few mechanics thrown in for making it more skill-based, instead of just throwing the tankiest guys with the biggest health bars to steamroll everything. There's an absolutely godly narrator following you through your adventures, and you'll quickly fall in love with his manner of speaking. There are classes, all of which are very viable in a number of compositions, and belong in on of four 'positions' on your (left) side of the screen. Some characters can only use certain abilities in position 3-4(the back row), for example.
Gameplay is separated into two avenues: The town and embark screen (your management hub) where you upgrade your buildings, change hero abilities, and choose your items to bring on the trip, and the expedition (the actual game) wherein you make use of your chosen heroes and skills to conquer the dungeons. Both are equally as important to your success.
There are a few things which I dislike, though. There's kind of a hill mid-late game where a significant grind starts to show, where you need to collect increasingly in higher demand heirlooms to upgrade your buildings, and you gold will be draining to almost zero constantly if you keep trying to upgrade your guys.
What is /v/s thoughts on Vermintide
I for one enjoy it(Sony nigger) but I definitely need to improve. I usually rock Markus with mace and shield and do good tanking but faggots keep running off on their own makes it frustrating.
Its ok like left for dead, but like left for dead it gets ruined by faggots so that the biggest adversary isn't the AI but your retard team-mates.

use a mic faggot
found 2 new game bros so far playing this game, good community and some extreme nerds playing this
>>385096498
Yeah need to get a mic could be the issue but same I find some good players but super rare. Still trying to beat the game on hard so I can enter nightmare for dem good rolls but it's impossible with newbies running off thinking they're spartan total warrior
These games are extremely underappreciated, i was looking for a cool 90s rpg to play that's similar to Underworld (simulation instead of dice rolls, real-time combat, smooth movement instead of grid-based) except with an overworld instead of brown caves, and maybe a party system, was disappointed to find that only games that satisfy this are Arena and Daggerfall which aren't really good, was hoping to find something with charm akin to Wizardry and Might & Magic.
Ultima Underworld games should get the System Shock: Enhanced Edition treatment.
I was on the other end of that issue a few months ago myself, looking for a good grid and turn based dungeon crawler besides grimrock. I started getting the itch after playing Severed and remembering the simple joys of Doom RPG, and I still couldn't find any other modern takes on the genre. A crying shame
Try /vr/ if you're looking for an actual discussion about UU. On /v/ these threads get swallowed by page 10 very quickly in favor of blacked, eceleb and pol threads. /vr/ is a lot slower but you're more likely to see the thread survive and generate actual video game discussion.
I really like Ultima Underworlds too, actually especially the fact that they're completely in a dungeon. It makes the atmosphere thicker. These games pull off the "you never really know what's behind the next corner" thing well.
It's a shame that Underworlds seem to get mention very rarely here. Sure they're really clunky but anyone who likes that Looking Glass Studios style of design should be able to enjoy them after getting used to the controls.

>"So long, gay Bowser!"
How come Nintendo allowed homophobia back in the day?
it was a better time anon
well Mario is Italian so he's pretty fucking racist. If Bowser was black he'd probably say "so long, gay nigger"
It was a different time.
How come Nintendo still haven't done a trophies/achievements system?
They make fun games, not well designed ones.
>>385095590
why do people care about trophies/achievements

Why do people care about certifications and medals?
