So guys show me the worst Tfs you got? try to stick to offical takara and hasbro stuff. For me its this mold . I got both lugnutz and high tail as a kid and i hated them even back then.
>pic off google because im lazy

I really like the alt-mode on this mold at least. The figure itself isn't that great, though. That said, I'm endeared to it thanks to the bio(Cybertron had a lot of interesting bios going on that made me care about figures I'd otherwise not care about); framing him as an apathetic 50's beatnik.
Anyway, my vote for worst TF figure is due in part to what a wake-up call buying it was. If you remember, back in the summer of 2007, the Transformers movie was huge and figures where flying off shelves. I had already gotten most of the on-screen characters early on in June or so, but one figure eluded me; Concept Camaro Bumblebee. Despite all the jokes about Bee swarms, that Bumblebee WAS hard to come by for a long time. So, after repeated trips to the stores only to find bare pegs. And considering I couldn't actually drive myself to places yet, coming up with nothing to show for was disappointing. So I just started to buy any figure I saw to try and complete a full set of 2007 movie toys. which is how I got this piece of shit.
Suffice to say, I never tried to be a completionist again. This figure is garbage.

it's a shame the arms are so cramped, his bio makes him into Hunter S. Thompson as a robot. Hunter S. Thompson robot is cool, and it pisses off stupid faggots who read fake news sites like Breitbart.
>>6113707
>framing him as an apathetic 50's beatnik.
well the glasses, hat, motorcycle alt mode(reference to his time with the Hell's Angels), giant ass weapon, time out in the desert, all Hunter. Funny then that both repaints were themed around sports teams since Thompson was a sports writer.
>try to stick to offical takara and hasbro stuff.
because Sonicron is basically made of HIV virus compacted into a mold sculpted by a blind person and would be the almost unanimous choice if allowed.
u knoe
i'd buy some for sure

Is he worth retail? Knowing the figuarts while basically the same price has apparently has a floppy torso joint is just a massive turn off, on top of the smol size but that was never a problem really.
>He places a bid for the item when there is still a day to go before the bidding ends

I do that to drive the price up for the people that actually want it lmao

Sonicron

I will never get over this
Generations Springer and Mezco DKR Batman.
Autists have overhyped those two to the point of hilarity, when they're mediocre releases at best.
Basically every single Marvel Legends War Machine and Iron Man that can't do an the ground slam pose.
Are you guys addicted to toys? You go out and look for that one figure sold out everywhere and get a rush when you finally find one on the shelf. Or you order these expensive 1/6 scaled ultra detailed fig and as soon as you get it you want another. Even though you only played with your new one for a few minutes. How do you guys deal with it? How do you guys stop the urge to buy a new figure every other day of the week just to satiate your craving for that rush of opening a new toy?
Not really. It's more or less waiting for shit to get made. And who looks for toys at stores anymore?
>>6109815
I have spent way too fucking much on gunpla and action figures. I don't even have the space in my tiny apartment to have all these. fuck man... yeah its a problem. But I will be making a ton of money in the future so I ... should be fine... as long as I don't royally fuck up my career plans.
I've overspent in the past, and it did in some ways hurt my levels of enjoyment in collecting, but now I'm on a much more restricted self-imposed budget. It has helped quite a bit, I turn down a lot of really dumb purchases now because I have to figure out how one toy that I buy reduces my allocated pool of money and leaves me less for the rest of the year. When you have to think about it in that sense, you set your priorities right.
I'm not a poorfag (I am the type that averaged $250+ a month in some years) but having a poorfag's mentality on money allocation keeps the perspective of a toy's value in check. It's sort of like learning survival skills by watching the tactics of a homeless bum living on the streets, I guess.
Last general got nuked because of shit posting. Try not to fuck this one up.
Asked this in the last thread:
what number do you give to toysrus to see if they have a neca figure? In the past I always asked using the r web number but they always say figures are not in stock, even if they are
>>6109599
619 is mantis, 620 is gorilla. I dont believe these are in brick and mortar stores yet.

hasbrotoyshop.com has the Red Skull Onslaught Legends wave on sale for 9.99 each (except for Taskmaster, who's out of stock). Coupon code HERO17 gets you an additional 15% off. Easiest way to find them is probably to search for 'legends' and then sort by price. There's also some discounted stuff from the Giant Man and Abomination wave.
Not particularly interested in most of the figures from the Onslaught wave (Whirlwind seems rad), but I do like how that Onslaught BAF looks and I've got Kitty with the Magneto head, so I went ahead and picked 'em up. 6 Legends and a BAF for 50 bucks seems fair enough to me.

This guy showed up today.
My first Hot Toys figure, my first 1/6 scale figure, my first 'high end' figure.
I am very happy :^)
One thing I've noticed, the articulation is extremely stiff, is this normal?
I suppose it's better than being super loose and floppy but it makes posing him very scary.
I've ordered some trophy skulls so he doesn't look like such a newfag.
>>6106627
I'm happy for you, OP. Htoys are pretty rad. I have a few myself. Generally, 1/6th scale joints should be a little stiffer as they have to support more weight than smaller figures.

SIC Drive arrived. Hands were awkward to put on and one of the leg pipes pops off whenever I try to put him in certain poses, but the figure is fantastic. The Max Flare tire being a yellow/gold colour really helps too.
I can't wait for SHF Type Tridoron to show up now.
