hasbrotoyshop.com has the Red Skull Onslaught Legends wave on sale for 9.99 each (except for Taskmaster, who's out of stock). Coupon code HERO17 gets you an additional 15% off. Easiest way to find them is probably to search for 'legends' and then sort by price. There's also some discounted stuff from the Giant Man and Abomination wave.

Not particularly interested in most of the figures from the Onslaught wave (Whirlwind seems rad), but I do like how that Onslaught BAF looks and I've got Kitty with the Magneto head, so I went ahead and picked 'em up. 6 Legends and a BAF for 50 bucks seems fair enough to me.

And here's a load of crap. I'm finding a lot of use for Red Skull parts. The BAF head makes Nuke very tolerable as an Ultimate Red Skull. Also, JJJ: Scourge of the Underworld is probably my new favorite, and MCU Strange is surprisingly great when placed on a flight stand.

Auto-sage squelches discussion from people who don't have the general bookmarked or on the watcher.

Racing to post a new general is just a weird ME FIRST attitude and it generally ends up with a shitty half assed OP like here.

Because it was one figure spread across 6 different figures, not to mention that goes anywhere from $30 - $50 on ebay regularly since its release.
Now all in one easy-to-find package for $20.
Anyone that bought the BAF had to either go through the trouble of buying all 6 or paid double what this new one will retail for.
>>
>>6111960
Ok but how is this different than any sdcc mold getting released at retail as a new colorway. Or any other figure update. You chose to build the baf. Plus there was a comic groot from EE. This one is different than the baf too. You are whining for no reason.

Close enough
>>
>>6111960
and now, more than 2 years later, you can buy the BAF on it's own. What's the problem?

If people were so desperate for a Groot figure that they'd be willing to buy the entire Guardians wave or pay rape prices on eBay, do you really think they'd be willing to wait 2 years for it?
>>
>>6111969

I'm not the first anon, I got my baf groot for literally $2 so it's whatever. But his point still stands, I wouldn't say it's whining. It's an objective fact that anyone that bought the baf will have had a harder time acquiring it than anyone that gets this new single packaged one, hence it's a 'big fuck you to the people that bought the baf'

>Ok but how is this different than any sdcc mold getting released at retail as a new colorway. Or any other figure update.
It's not. Both are fuck you's to the people that bought the initial releases, which is why i'm still holding out for a regular release Psylocke before paying $300 for the SDCC X-force set

>You chose to build the baf.
Because there was nothing else out or even announced or rumored at the time.

>Plus there was a comic groot from EE
A set that cost $150 retail. If you just wanted the Groot, best case scenario is that you had to sell off the rest of the set most likely at a loss. Still harder than buying a single packaged one...

The whole point of the BAF is to entire people to buy figures they normally wouldn't yo complete the figure.

While I don't plan on buying this or care that they're doing it, I can say it's not a smart business move since this, plus the SDCC figures being barely changed and released, just makes me think "why do the BAF when I can just buy a completed one later.

I'd like to see Annihulk, since then they could just reuse a bunch of molds (also I actually have the Annihilus, but I still wouldn't mind a redo)

The only other cosmic characters that I would think of to be a BAF would be Ronan (comics or movie version),Super Skrull, Beta Ray Bill, and maybe Phalanx Ultron. I don't think I'd want a Galactus or Celestial at only giant man scale.
>>

A DST rep literally said that that's exactly what happened. She said no. This is a real thing, but chances are you are too fucking retarded to even be persuaded by somebody in the very company that made the fucking figure saying that it was all her decision.

This is why nobody listens to embargo conspiracy theorists. Every fact flies right in their face, but they selectively say it's not true or it's some sort of illuminati tactic. The lack of something is now the new form of evidence that something is happening, apparently. Well, gee, Hasbro hasn't made a Bullseye figure during their entire handling of the ML license, Bullseye must be embargoed, too! Now you need to provide evidence that he isn't currently embargoed, or else you're completely wrong!

>Some retards just don't know how it works though.

>Only movie designs are being blocked.
>Only movie designs are being blocked.
Marvel has no problem with their characters being used as long as they're not sharing royalties with those horrible companies they sold their movie rights to. So comic characters? Perfectly fine. 100% Marvel. Movie character designs? LOL wut movie characters.
>>
>>6113428
Then why did the Jackman Wolverine get released by DST in their Select line? That was a 2013 figure, well within the supposed embargo period.

And why would DST, a long time partner with Marvel with over a decade's worth of experience and interaction with Marvel's product protocols, even bother tooling up a prototype of movie Mystique if they knew it wouldn't even be approved? You'd think that a decade-long partner with Marvel that continuously produces their toys would have maybe gotten an email about an embargo before spending a few thousand dollars making a prototype.

Oh, wait, you can't explain either, and will just say that they're flukes or they don't count because you're a fucking retard. You might as well say that you're basing all of this on faith, and I can't disprove it any sooner than I could disprove god's existence. That's basically exactly where you are in this. You have no evidence that there was an embargo, and tons of evidence that completely flies in the face of the embargo.

Evidence that you will gloss over and not address while you double down on retardation, that is.

>Then why did the Jackman Wolverine get released by DST in their Select line? That was a 2013 figure, well within the supposed embargo period.
Because a business is a business, they have contracts and still need to make money.
Late 2013 was when Fox gave Marvel the finger and Marvel started saying fuckeverythingFox.
So you really can't have a company have hundreds of thousands of units on a boat or warehouse, comic and toy stores having hundreds of thousands of orders, and have them eat it up just because of your feud.
You think Perlmutter is going to hand Diamond nearly a million bucks just to cover the losses they'd experience?

That Mystique? Only the prototype existed. No factory with thousands of figures in production. No molds. No orders. Very easy to can and give Fox a semi-competent lie on why they're not going pay them royalty bucks.
You think Marvel/Hasbro/Diamond/etc actually tell Fox "Fuck you, no toys for you?" They feed them the same type of bullshit line that you actually believe.
Admitting that Hasbro/Diamond/Marvel/Bandai are purposely cockblocking Fox movie designs would likely lead to a lawsuit.
>>
>>6113455
So everything is innuendo, and you think you have a leg to stand on in this discussion. Hilarious. You address nothing directly, and only push this idea that it's what we don't see that counts versus every last thing that proves you wrong that we clearly can see.

I'll just laugh at you right now, and call it quits with an easy win on my end. Take your embargo bible and your religious belief system and have a blast with it.

>>
>>6112177
>how the hell does fox and other companies keep getting licenses to superheroes?
The license renews itself every time they make a new movie. It expires if they don't make a movie every 6 or 7 years.

That's why they made an electra movie, and kept rebooting spiderman, and that's why fan4tastic was made. Some companies lost the rights because they didn't make new movies in time and Marvel jumped on that. (Daredevil, for example.)

According to conspiracy theory, Fox made fan4tastic as a big middle finger to Marvel, who are trying to get the rights to doom and galactus back, and have otherwise given up on the wacky space adventures family in lieu of GotG, who got a movie to fill that void.

I dunno maybe its because I grew up with the xmen cartoon (which was based on the jim lee designs).
>>
>>6118470
Madelyne Pryor figure when? Also wouldn't mind a proper White Queen with that outfit.
>>
>>6114305
Serious question: Is anyone that collect hasbro Marvel Legends over the age of 16? Because I can't imagine that an adult would waste their money on this garbage.
>>
>>6118672
I know this is bait, but I'll respond anyway. I got a ton of Legends figures, and I'm 22.

Hasbro makes figures of characters a lot of other companies won't most of the time, so I'm gonna buy them.
>>
>>6118691
Same, but I'm pushing 40.
>>
>>6118672
It's not like they're that expensive unless you are buying from scalpers
I didn't start buying until last year when I was 19

Im 32 and the majority of my collection is Hasbro because for the simple reason that Japs wont do comics designs (yeah, yeah, yamaguchii). If I had a better option, id take it. Ive already got Mezco cap, and have the Punisher PO'd

when i first got into them i went overboard and bought every character i mildly liked. that was before i knew about japanese figures and marvel select.
since then i sold off a lot of them and only have a couple spideys and villains. theyve dropped in quality a lot over the years imo in terms of paint and plastics.
they still shell out a great roster and theyre perfect for anyone that doesnt want to buy the slightly pricier jap figs.
pic not mine.
also im 20.
>>
>>6118672
Show me a better Patsy Walker figure and I'll buy that too, kiddo
>>
Hello /toy/ I am new to collecting figures and I had a quick question. I got my Wolverine figure in the mail today and his claws are sort of bent, how do I straighten them out?
>>
>>6118829
depends. are the claws themselves bent? or are the sockets they go into crooked?
the claws are kind of a soft, gummy plastic.
i would drop them in a bowl of hot water for about a minute then lay them flat under something heavy, like a book. leave it there for around 10 mins then see if theyre straight. then pop them back into the fist.
>>
>>6118829
Either use a blowdrier on the hands to soften them a bit so you can straighten the claws and then dip them on cold water or dip them on hot water so you can straighten them and then dip them on cold water.

Are you the "Never speak to me or my bub ever again" guy?
>>
>>6118470
Was he hating on him? Seemed like he was just commenting on Jim's propensity for leather jackets in character designs, which is a thing he does.
>>
>>6118672
I'm 27. I collect mostly spidey legends.
>>
>>6118672
Yes, 18 here.
I've been buying Marvel Legends since I was a kid. Admittedly, it's a line I'm real picky about. But they release some good fun figures. For $20 you could do much worse. Some are even truly excellent, in my opinion anyway,

Still the only waves I try to complete are the Spider-Man waves since that's where their best stuff comes in, in my opinion anyway.
>>
>>6118672
19 here and yes.
>>
>>6118672
Legends has pretty consistent quality. They look nice together too.
>>
>>6117209
Fuck you. Best Avengers storyline, motherfucker.

I want a Proctor Marvel Legend.

Still a bit satly Jim Lee Cyclops doesn't have a jacket.
>>
>>6117905
This was the time Black Knight didn't have the Ebony Blade, so the Avengers made him a lightsaber.

I love most 90s designs to death, but even I can't defend that.

Plain clothes or Silver Age Patsy Walker when.

This. The new suit would look so much better without the hood

Has anyone tried putting the Black Panther hands in the new Spidey 2099?
>>
>>6118470

Damn when's the last time the X-Men had a new villain that wasn't gone in one or two story arcs never to be seen again?
>>
>>6119878
To be fair you could ask that of almost any comic character/team
>>

Wasn't hating on Jim Lee.
Just saying that he tended to give all his characters and made the rest of Marvel give too many of their characters a casual look by just draping a jacket over them.

Gobby arrived today. He's awesome. REEEEEEEEEEE!
>>
>>6120414
I'd love an ML-style WildCATS line holy shit
>>
>>6120503
You and me both. It's a shame that DC owns Wildstorm, which I think is what Wildcats were under, so the best we'll get is shittily sculpted and articulated garbage.

It's shame Hasbro can't get some of the licenses like Marvel Toys did back with the Legendary Comic Book Heroes line.
>>
What peg bases are good to use for ML figures? I use a few NECA bases but not all of my figures are compatible
>>
>>6120503
Actually, now that I think about it, I would completely be fine with ML-quality figures from so many of Image's earlier comics - Gen13, Backlash, better Witchblade, Team 7, and then more current titles like Invincible.

Oh well.
>>
>>6117209

except that's not even Jim Lee's art. It's Steve Epting

Both the ones that come with revoltechs work with most legends I've tried. The triangle ones, and the little stomp effects.
>>
>>6120606
Is there any way to buy these without buying revoltechs? I can't even seem to find them on ebay
>>
>>6120657
Not really. I've just bought a bunch of revoltechs over time so I have a lot floating around. I do with you could buy them separately too, they're really nice.
>>
>>6120593
All we ever got from Gen13 was a Fairchild, and that was back in the 90s. I'd love to have the whole team someday.
>>
>>6119782
Beast in clothes is actually on my wishlist, although I want "Dr. McCoy" in a lab coat.

Doc Ock and Mysterio for the wishlist
