So guys show me the worst Tfs you got? try to stick to offical takara and hasbro stuff. For me its this mold . I got both lugnutz and high tail as a kid and i hated them even back then.
>pic off google because im lazy
>>6113687 (OP)
I really like the alt-mode on this mold at least. The figure itself isn't that great, though. That said, I'm endeared to it thanks to the bio(Cybertron had a lot of interesting bios going on that made me care about figures I'd otherwise not care about); framing him as an apathetic 50's beatnik.
Anyway, my vote for worst TF figure is due in part to what a wake-up call buying it was. If you remember, back in the summer of 2007, the Transformers movie was huge and figures where flying off shelves. I had already gotten most of the on-screen characters early on in June or so, but one figure eluded me; Concept Camaro Bumblebee. Despite all the jokes about Bee swarms, that Bumblebee WAS hard to come by for a long time. So, after repeated trips to the stores only to find bare pegs. And considering I couldn't actually drive myself to places yet, coming up with nothing to show for was disappointing. So I just started to buy any figure I saw to try and complete a full set of 2007 movie toys. which is how I got this piece of shit.
Suffice to say, I never tried to be a completionist again. This figure is garbage.
>>6113687
it's a shame the arms are so cramped, his bio makes him into Hunter S. Thompson as a robot. Hunter S. Thompson robot is cool, and it pisses off stupid faggots who read fake news sites like Breitbart.
>>6113707
>framing him as an apathetic 50's beatnik.
well the glasses, hat, motorcycle alt mode(reference to his time with the Hell's Angels), giant ass weapon, time out in the desert, all Hunter. Funny then that both repaints were themed around sports teams since Thompson was a sports writer.
>try to stick to offical takara and hasbro stuff.
because Sonicron is basically made of HIV virus compacted into a mold sculpted by a blind person and would be the almost unanimous choice if allowed.
>>6113714
>Hunter S. Thompson as a robot
Is he a pansy that can barely stay awake at a job as easy as journalism because he can't stop injecting marijuanas?
>>6113750
Actually... yeah, that pretty much is Lugnutz's character.
>>6113707
I had that guy, he wasn't so bad. His gimmick, and lack of the uppertorso/head portion tabbing in properly is what ruined him. If his gimmick was removed he'd be a fuck ton better.
This thing. The fact that I haven't sold it should be a wake up call for me to stop procrastinating as I wanted out of my collection the day I got it.
It has no working knees, the hips are floppy even after applying nail polish, the arm kibble doesn't let it hold its own weapons, the headsculpt is garbage at not being Leader-1 but black, the arms are just awkward and crap, and I'm pretty sure it jinxed me.
I got it together with fellow meme blockshit, Heavytread, though that one is not that bad except for the horrible head and my lack of Mobine sets.
This fuckers minicon had more articulation than him.
>>6113801
>:LOOK MA I'M A GEEWUN TOY
Honestly I appreciate Armada more thinking of it as a modern attempt at G1 style toys. If you thik about it, at the time, the era of articulated Transformers had only been 7 or 8 years at the time, from the end of G2 to RiD. The G1 style lasted for 10+ years,a nd if you consider takara's Braveline as an offshoot, G1 style figures where being made until the end of gaoGaiGar in 1997/98, while beast wars was still running in the west. So you could consider that "articulated" TF style that began witht he Cyberjets and became standardized in beast wars/Machines/RiD wasn't thought of as definitive yet.
>>6113809
>fellow meme blockshit, Heavytread
What's wrong with this guy?
>>6113857
People disposed PCC
I fiddled with one the other day and honesty. They were an entertaining little line.
Wish I could have found a heavytread. He looked beast
>>6113857
Weird proportions and weird articulation.
It looks great in combined mode but the normal robot mode is hideous.
>>6113882
>Weird proportions and weird articulation
It looks fine to me
>>6113809
My only complaint on this guy is that his legs are not in the same aesthetic as the rest of him. Chicken Walkers can be fun, but they just don't look right on him.
>>6113687
From Family Dollar. Knock offs entertain me, sometimes they are decent, this isn't one of them. Cheap, fragile plastic. The figure is clearly swiped from the legends class Optimus, even though this one is a bit bigger.
>>6113687
I think I got this
>>6114278
I pop by the discount stores hoping to find some $5 legends, or entertaining off brand transformers.
>>6114283
Must have come in a happy meal or something. Don't know how it's stayed with me so long
>>6114285
Same freaking mold. I don't care about the paint job, or lack thereof. The brittle plastic pisses me off.
>>6113714
He was a fucking junkie who made a career out of shocking normies back when that was an option. He is vastly overrated. Most of his stuff is made up and when it is not he is not very insightful. He mostly just rants.
>>6114283
I think I have a version of that guy. The best part was it was from a store that knew it was kinda crap so it had a funny description under it. I'll see if I can find any pics.
>>6113687
Anything from the last year or two.
>>6114287
Its a G1 Sparkabot
>>6113801
Well, at least his weapons and Minicon were useful for other TFs
Nightbeat was probably on of the weakest robot modes. But at least it made for a decent pretend power pack, and you could mount it on a wrist minicon peg and make a blaster out of it
>>6113863
I didnt despise PCC
There were a few weak molds but oneslike Huffer and the fire truck were pretty baller
>>6113801
>>6113814
Imagine having fucking Armada Scavenger as a kid. That thing is dogshit.
>>6114803
I had him and sideswipe. Scavenger was hands down the better toy.
All WFC and FOC toys are trash, but Cliffjumper is the most trash
>cold dead eyes because black lightpiping
>translucent plastic that's micro sized for no reason since there's nothing to even see inside
>limp wristed faggot
>bigger humpback than quasimodo
>rickets
>worthless ankles
>ugly face sculpt
>garbage shellformer transformation
>vehicle mode is cybertron trash
Starscream and Not-Starscream.
>>6114980
>>6113801
Why has no third party company ever redesigned this guy? I would love for an anime style design and a variety of 1/24 - 1/32 scale transforming skylines to have... Drift, sideswipe, deadlock, crisswise, and anyone else the design would fit.
>>6114918
He is a hoodie wearing kid that becomes a computer mouse, i love him.
>>6114918
>WFC
>trash
Into the trash it goes
>>6115027
Not a G1 character.
>>6113801
This guy, I bought the two pack that had him and Crystal Widow...I ONLY bought it for Widow.
>>6115043
>skybyte
>scourge
>drift
>wfc/foc bots
>MARIO BROS
Try harder.
>>6115083
doesn't appear in idw comics
I gotta say the RID line is a disappointment. I am not looking for 2nd hand copies of Transformers I already own.
There could of been a few winners but they all look like hollow junk.
Grimlock is growing on me.
>>6115635
The only good thing is the laserbeal
>>6115635
Are you just looking at the gimmick lines?
>>6113687
Supreme Cheeto.
No contest.
>>6115635
The only toys of the line with the collector in mind are the warrior class figures. I think the weaponizer mini cons too to an extent, as well as the Legion line. There isn't really a need to judge it otherwise because the rest of the line is intended for childten who like the show and the gimmicks.
>>6115644
Isn't RID all gimmick and no detail?
This guy might be cool.
>>6115635
I have the warrior class Starscream figure, it is a pretty sweet homage to G1 and Prime. The warrior class Soundwave looks nice.
Even the legion class Starscream looks decent.
>>6114918
Did we get the same toys? The WFC/FOC line was pretty good. I think the weakest toy among the entire line was probably the Jazz figure, because of his fixed feet and laughably narrow waist.
>>6115659
"That asshole bumblebee made me scan a gf gunship but it really doesn't go with my dragons for arms..."
Objectively?
ROTF Arcee but I've got a soft spot for how weird she is.
In my opinion the worse I have ever owned would have to be either Beast Machines deluxe Primal or Human Alliance Sideswipe.
Garbage, both of them
Worst tf: the knockoffs made by hasbro and takara
bm mega cheetor, what a pile of shit
>>6114918
That's what it's like to have shit taste.
i think this was the first time i experienced buyers remorse
>>6114803
Scavenger wasn't that bad. The leg gimmick was shit but at least it worked. I just liked the fact that his minicon could sit in the bulldozer and have a sound gimmick too
>>6114287
>>6114283
That's I wanna say Fizzle.
He wasn't a Happy Meal toy. He was a legit mainline Transformer from the Sparkabots subline.
(image confirms he was not Sizzle, the other non-Guzzle Sparkabot)
>>6116440
>Is stock photo Transformer transformed correctly?
Search within yourself. You know the answer already.
>>6116330
At least they didn't screw up the wings...
>>6117560
A little more arm articulation would have been nice. We've had legends class figures with knee and elbow joints before, be nice if they kept that standard.
>>6117583
>legends class
Legends as in current Legends or 2005 Legends? RID Legion = Cyberverse Legion = 2005 Legends and they are a class size smaller than Current Legends = Scouts = Cyberverse Commanders.
>>6113707
I've always wanted to pull the gimmick out of payload, without he he's an acceptable Decepticon generic. He's no Dreadwing, that's for sure. I saw this guy when he was new and steered very clear since it looked so shit, but a couple years later a friend brought one over to add to the collection so now I own the cyclops movie trio.
Those legs though
>>6115027
Not muh geewun
Sigh, the era of otherwise great character designs and ideas being ruined by Hasbro's obsession with gimmicky shit. This guy's design would of been the boss if not for the stupid plunger jutting out of his back for the chest claw gimmick. And you can't mod it out because it's necessary to hold his armored truck alt-mode together.
Otherwise this guy would of been great, because a Decepticon hiding as an armored truck to steal money would of been greate.
>>6113863
PCC was pretty good, people were just assmad the drones didn't transform
>>6114918
>all WFC/FOC toys are trash
>when WFC Optimus and Megatron exist
are you fucking high
>>6115635
*breathes in*
boi
>>6119501
The drones were shit. Once the sorings wear down the just fall out of the socket and become useless. However most if the scout molds were at least decent toys on their own. Aside from Grimstone who works with his drones, the only other torso mold you couldn't get separately was Double-Clutch, and he was shit.
>>6113809
Get out.
Leader Class Jetstorm from Beast Machines.
The chrome flaked off like a bad skin disease.
Airachnid. Fucking hell. What a nightmare.
>>6119558
It's even more painful when Airachnid was one of the more anticipated toys due to the cartoon.
>>6119598
Should have been a Voyager desu.
>>6119598
I got mine for $5 from a Big Lots while the rest of the toy line was still current, like they clearenced just her out and shipped her there. Still overpaid for that garbage. Did we ever get a Naviko from either of her molds though? It seems that I've seen tons of drawings of her reusing the mold but I've never seen a real one.
>>6119614
you can literally make a Naviko from the Legion version by taking the rotors off the top and sticking a large rubber LEGO tooth in each of the 3mm ports
Pulled this off google
>>6119722
Fuck, I think I've got a new project, thanks anon
>>6114803
I had him actually. He was a fun little piece of shit and I liked the gimmicks.
I wouldn't spend money on him as an adult though.
