i have a good friend of mine living on the other side of canada and hes alone as fuck. i need a good gift for his upcoming birthday to let him know someone still cares enough to give him one. hes a anime elitest with like 700 diffrent animes watched and hes big on irony. help me out?
Saying he's watched over 700 anime doesn't help us if you don't say anything about what sort of things he likes. I've eaten hundreds of flavors of jellybean, can you guess what flavors I like using just that knowledge?
>>6122182
He's bound to keep track of what he's watched. Ask if he has a MAL account or just ask what some of his favorites where. Or you could just buy him a hugpillow and call him a weeb.
>>6122182
Ask him, "Who is/are your waifus? Seriously man."
Emphasis on saying "waifus" properly.
Did anyone here actually get this guy? I know Play Arts tend to be shit on a lot here, but I've heard some decent things about him and I'm kind interested in picking one up.
>>6121310
I have the ltd edition on in box. I just hate the colouring and scale on these figures so I'll prolly sell it. Over all though he looks decent sculpt and articulation wise.
I have him. Actually I have two of him. Originally that UCE was sold out within minutes. Was on the waiting list and never heard anything after they announced producing more copies. Gave up and just bought the figure with the other guys off Amiami. A few weeks before the release date, I get emailed with a 48 hour link....
The hair sculpt is shit. Face is meh. Articulation is fine. He's just huge compared to everything else.

I want the Old Punished Noctis figure.

Thread Challenge: Make an extended FAQ.
I wish /toy/ had talk back technology so I wouldn't have to wait so long for replies.
>>6121261
Does buying stuff on your wanted list remove it from said list, or do I need to do that manually?
>>6121277
Manually, Lego assumes you want 80 of each.
>>6121227
Exactly my thoughts.
I hope it will be used in creator as decorative piece too!
Comes with and axe
>>6121164
Thats NES jason using the part 3 mold
and I dont think that version is GITD
>>6121948
You're right. Only the SDCC version glows in the dark. I have no idea what OP is talking about.
Thoughts on Lanard products?
>>6121105
They look cheap as fuck but I'm a sucker for gorilla figures.
I've never even heard of this company until now. Was the King Kong toy license undesirable enough that Lanard was the only company who seriously sought after it?
Does /toy/ like Bakugan? I hear they're getting a relaunch, they were kinda neat.
>>6120785
Where did you hear this??
>>6120785
Huh, maybe it will be all the Japanese ones that I assume never made it to the US.
>>6120785
here's a press release or something
Heya /toy/
Been searching around for knock-off League of Legends figures, as the chinks behind Riot don't seem to understand the sheer amount of money they would stand to make from actual fucking proper figurines of say, Ahri, or Sona. And all Riot have are chibi figures for the champions I like.
Anyone here got lucky with finding a site that does good figures?
funko made some horrific figures recently and Figma has a yasuo on the way that'll probably have a fucked up face
>>6120507
Any actual review of the Legacy figures showing articulation and what not? they look halfway decent in package
>>6120600
well, here's my review
Anyone else got their hands on this God-tier figure?
>>6120385
Yeah, and its badass. Some whiners will cry that it isn't perfect because the arms and legs of the lion limbs don't disappear like in the show(because they couldn't afford to keep drawing and coloring them in), but its the perfect Voltron, which is amazing considering the sheer amount of times the design has been done.
You hold this in your hand, and it just feels like quality. Yeah, the die-cat metal meme doesn't make a figure perfect, but when it compliments a figure, it does so well and here's a case where it does.
So I guess we're the only two..
I know he's expensive but I felt like this was some kind of event or something. Anyone reading this that does not have this figure is missing out

Kotobukiya can make lightsabres in six inch size.
>>6120191
They look pretty goofy to be fair though.
>>6120200
how so? too long?
I kinda wish they tapered towards the tip more, but they look way cooler than a piece of translucent plastic.
plus Hot Toys should've had tech like this a long long time ago...in a gala....nvm
How is the bootleg atlas?
I want a TF figure but dont want to pay $200+ for it.
>>6119848
I made this thread before and as far as the PAK goes, not even the real one is worth it I was told. They said get the official threezero is the only one worth getting.
>>6119848
I really wanted to own a titan. Everything I heard and saw about PAK Atlas was underwhelming. I eventually found a reasonable deal on the ThreeZero Atlas. It really is a superb item, but you wont find it for cheap anymore.
>>6119848
Do yourself a favor and get the ThreeZero version. Even at inflated after-market prices, it is still far more worth it than the PAK.
Source: I owned the PAK, sold it off and scraped like hell to get the ThreeZero.
>asia exclusive
REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

Leaks for TR Wave 5 and 6 when?
>>6119834
Why Asia exclusive!
Also,TFW2005 posted official pics ob Bumblebee and Shadow Spark Prime- in da box.
>>6119834
pisses me off how they do the back, not smaller car pieces, just the doors, not changed in any way, the enite fucking front window
Did I make a mistake? It was 2 figmas.
>paying aftermarket prices
>Order Danboard to place alongside my current collection of figures
>Read the measurements but somehow it doesn't click with me that I should buy the smaller version
>He's huge by comparison
Why do I always do this?
>>6119240
Theyre pretty old, I just started to get into figmas and animu
How would I go about cancelling an order from amiami? Can I just tell them I placed an order by mistake if this is the first time that I'm skipping out on a purchase?
>>6119065
What is it you ordered? Maybe I can take it off your hands.
>>6119071
Some Little Armory stuff (Type 64 and M202 + black figma hands for both).
>>6119065
Send them an email using their contact form, just make a resonable excuse but DO NOT do it often.
I had to cancel that dead or alive collectors edition because I found out about the english version *right* as they sent the payment request (because I'm slow apparently) and just claimed I needed money.
Right now sent one saying about a figure I changed my mind with a more complex excuse, really anon, "may I politely request to cancel my order" will do just fine I just like excuses.
If you do it enough they'll let you know when they're about to ban you, otherwise find someone to hand it off to, just don't delay
Why do female figures sell out instantly and immediately get re-releases?
>realistic action figure of an 11 year old girl
What a good idea.
>>6119000
So, how long until people start tweeting Emma Watson about al the stuff they do to this figure?
>>6118997
Fuck, I wanted to buy her so bad. I don't order online, but my local comic book store always has the latest Hot Toys. Sadly the store is about 1hr from where I live so I only get to go every other month. The store doesn't always put stuff out on it's release date, and by the time I went they only had Harry, and Ron left. It's been months and Harry and Ron are still there, but they've never bothered to restock Emma.
Thinks hes worth the price?
Just got into the movies and was thinking about getting him.
>>6118450
>just got into the movies
Read the manga. Also figma aftermarket is fucking ridiculous of course he isn't worth it. That said, only you can really decide if a toy is worth the price.
>>6118450
>Just got into the movies and was thinking about getting him.
No. If you're THINKING about getting him you don't really want him. If you do end up getting him you'll eventually regret spending $100 on something you bought on an impulse just because you enjoyed a movie at that one moment in time.
I mean, that's like marathoning all of the Star Wars in a day and saying you want to buy a toy of Luke or Vader when it was something you were never interested in it before.
Save it for another toy you REALLY want. No need to buy everything just because you watched it that one time
>>6118450
How much is he going for? I recently watched the movies and show, and just caught up on the manga.
What are the odds of another company making a Guts figure in the $50 range?
