I'm going to second weaseling. It's Average, rather then Hard, and you never eat an encumbrance penalty for it so it's always there for you. It's also faster and safer then striking skills to take a single opponent out of a fight. If you are only going to have one hand to hand it's your best bet.

This is the thread for LCG, CCG, RPG, setting and story talk about the land of Rokugan.
This week we got the Lion's mechanics preview from FFG, meaning we now have the Lion and Crane almost completely previewed. Next week looks like it is going to be Dragon fiction week for those honorable sons and daughters of Togashi, Mirumoto, Kitsuki, and Agasha to get all hype over.
So, since the preview is fresh this week let that be the first question of the thread: What were people's thoughts on it? I didn't expect Lion would be the discard pile necromancy faction on top of the military tricks they have. And they show another face of honor where they literally benefit from low bids to keep their honor points pool high which is very different from the Crane 'HONOR ALL THE CHARACTERS FUCK YEAH' method we saw before.

Hey /tg/, i've been laboring for a while on a MtG RPG that utilizes the cards (cypher system in case you were wondering. i'll be posting the rules when it's decently complete) anyway, i'm planning to run the main "hub" plane of the game in Ravnica and am looking for interesting adventure seeds. i've gotten some inspiration from different places, such as cyberpunk plots, but would love some more ideas.
Things to remember:
>every guild has a purpose, much like departments of a city. Boros = police force, Azorius = judiciary system, Selesnya = church/hospital, Simic = Center for disese control (and distribution), Izzet = department of utilities and explosions, Orzhov = bankers and lawyers, Dimir = NSA/CIA/other black ops, Golgari = Department of Sanitation, Gruul and Rakdos: Parks and Rec.
>Murder that does not affect guild business is not illegal and helps with culling overpopulation
>much of the setting is based on eastern europe. >>53916206 has been providing a lot of inspiration so far.
Anything you can provide for interesting story ideas would be helpful for adventures on this plane along with any others. I'd love to hear it.

Like, an Orzhov bank heist won't be difficult, since all you have to do is see the inside of the bank, and then you can planeswalk in and out and takr anything nonliving with you

Yes, however Planeswalking by definition isn't like pic related. they can go between planes, but that has it's time and place. it's something you prepare for. it's not just a teleportation power (even then, for characters like Jace there's rules for that in the cypher system. the system also encourages you to engage with the story to get the most out of it)
Good point to bring up though.

Help me out /tg/. The driving forcd of my campaign is that there is something in the world corrupting and destroying the beneficial works of a long gone necromancer. The something is of course a lich who was previously tje good necromancer.
My problem is creating the beneficial works he did in his past life. I was able to come up with a shrine that fueled a farming village to supernatural levels using the spirits of the dead, and a walled city that is protected from an unknown threat from the underdark by a zombie horde in its substructure, but i need more help in this

Song of Swords is a a tabletop RPG centered around realistic medieval fightan' with a ludicrous variety of weapons and fighting styles, centered around a dice pool system. It's currently in beta, and can be used for both fantasy and historical games. The Kickstarter was nearly 300% funded, and we're on the fast track to kicking ass baby.
Call of the Void: Ballad of the Laser Whales is a pulpy sci-fi tabletop RPG about fighting space-nazis and hunting giant whales with harpoons made out of the moon. Its combat system is more modern, based in the early 20th century, but can probably handle combat up to the present day.
MEGA folder containing current version of the game and all supplementary materials.
Note that the latest version of the game is v1.9.9 but with additional supplements.

-Time Limit+Banished allow a pretty casual way of going about this. Too stronk, reroll. Weak powerlevels waifushit slice of life, farm Essence. Interesting setting, earn xp, enthrall notable locals and try to get a new class/level. Does Banished allow me to keep artefacts/bases? Some sort of pocket dimension ala Chillzone CYOA that manifests on the Prime as I enter a Setting would be neat. Ah fuck you, that's what I'm ruling it to be.
