I want to run a campaign, but I'm an anti-social recluse who has no friends. How can I find people who want to play and won't crap out of a campaign?
Trial & error. There is no way you can guarantee you won't make bad experiences. What you can do is have a good look at the people you want to game with in advance and see if it might work out with them.
Other than that, what is needed is the faith that one good group is wading through crappy groups. Same with relationships, btw.
>>53905984
Where do I find those people in the first place?
>>53905984
And to follow up on that: you've created a thread here on /tg/... you might get good responses or troll bait or anything inbetween. What is needed is the faith that the good reponses are worth the shitposts inbetween.
Daily reminder sisters of basshole are no longer a real faction, edition.

Having in mind that my players and I are used to D&D 5E
>>53902820
That entirely depends on what you want the system to be capable of and what you want to do.
Stars Without Number is an OSR sci-fi game, so it should fit in with your 5e experiences (as long as you don't expect 10 classes and archetypes).
I heard it's getting a new edition with improved rules, but it's entirely servicable as it is.
apologize in advance, new to this: as in like, a universe, like firefly, or star wars?
This is how I paladin.

Skull knight is cool, but you're still doin' it wrong

>implying he isnt a la +2 undead weapon master with high crafting
>>53902153
>implying Skull Knight isn't the closest thing to a good guy knight in shining armor fighting the demons
Can you ever world build too much for your setting? I've been working at mine, and it feels like I add a new facet each week. Is there ever a point where you should cut things off and stick with what you have?
>>53901957
If you are ever speaking for a full minute without stopping for any form of input or response, your players are bored.
>>53901968
I'm talking more about the actual process of building a world in which the players inhabit beforehand. I think it's fair that no matter what it is, it should be revealed to the players in bite sized chunks.
>>53901985
That depends entirely on your level of self-control. As long as you're willing to accept the fact that 90% of what you build will never see the light of day, go wild.
In the process of building a deck for my weekly 4 player game after D&D, the catch being my opponents all build autistic competitive decks
My goal is for +90% of the deck to be artifacts (I'm a sucker for tribals), and focusing game winning/infinite combos
Pic related is my commander, my plan is to just keep drawing new hands by casting low cost artifacts until i get combo material down
OI! Any mekz on dis thing?
My boyz just got done fightin' summa da pointy ears, and wen we wuz lootin' der camp, we found dis!
First Ork dat can tells me what dis 'ere lot is for gets a pile o' teef!

Does this guy cost 6 or 8?
I NEED to know.
>>53898766
I'm quite sure he's 8 mana all together.
>>53898766
For the spoilers you must wait
To find if cost is 6 or 8

Why do people get so outraged over bikini armor and boobplate? I mean, if you can tolerate the presence of absolutely nonsensical magic and shit like owl-bears, surely someone could justify using scantily clad women warriors with a more convincing argument?
Does this have something to with Americans' prudish attitudes nudity and sex, or perhaps with feminist ideology making inroads into the pnp crowd?
I know some would like to make ad-hominem comments about how this particular aesthetic is for virgins, but such derision could be used for any aspect of the pnp scene.

Post bikini armor!

Tell me, /tg/, Have you ever run a game set in Gielinor? I've really never seen Runescape discussed on /tg/ as a possible setting. Even beyond 07'scape the lore is actually pretty good and I think the boatload of fantasy concepts in it can be explored pretty well in a campaign.
What's your opinion on it, /tg/?inb4 someone starts an 07 vs. RS3 shitposting match
Bump for intrest. I always wanted to try it, but most of my players never play it and are harcore WOWfags.
>>53897574
It would be cool to run a game set during the god wars.

Have you ever mass empowered people if not entire worlds? Or left behind the means for others to empower themselves?

The campaign is a general length campaign, not a one-off, the system is easy yet complex enough that character creation is an enjoyable part of the game and not a complete slog... and the GM insists on pre-generated characters he rolled up himself, complete with backstories and flaws.
If you're gonna do that, just write a novel.
>>53893786
Not gonna lie.
I like you Wayne.
What's the lamest villain you've ever seen?
