You'll probably have to go back to the Old Testament to find interesting creatures (leviathan, behemoth, giant men). Old Jewish sources also have a lot to go by (golems, Talmudic demons etc.)

If you want to keep a focus on "Christian" tradition, demons and undead (i.e. vampires) were feared in the medieval era, though the latter has its roots more in local culture than Christianity.

I'm playing vs tau in a couple hours.

I'm not sure whether to use my new guard or my new thousand sons. I've had a few games with guard, but I've never seen tsons fielded, much less used them myself.

I'm doing 1000 pts, and I have ahriman, 2 rubric squads, and termies. Aside from shitting out smites, what else should I be doing?

Alternatively, I have guard, and I'm trying to make them steel legion, though at the moment, I got the army secondhand and they had them as cadians, so I just have a lot of footsoldiers...aside from shitting out conscripts, what should I try and focus on/field?

By the way, before you ask for a source apparently that's the only fantasy scene in the anime it comes from.

5e or 4e, unless your group is invested in 3.PF already to the point where switching would be painful (I played with groups like that).

From there it's personal preference. I prefer 4e for a variety of reasons, but 5e's lighter chassis is appealing as well. Plus, apparently nobody hates that edition, which also helps.

Pathfinder. It's got the most options and most interesting gameplay, plus it makes really insufferable people butthurt.

Ability Score Increase. Your Constitution score increases by 2, and your Strength score increases by 1.

Age. With enough Dust to sustain them, Broken Lords can live indefinitely.

Alignment. Broken Lords tend to be Lawful, since the society higly values honor above all else.

Size. The suits of armor shaping Broken Lords' bodies vary as much as bodies of living humans. Your size is Medium.

Speed. Your base walking speed is 30 feet.

Dust Care. You can heal yourself with dust, expending 2 Dust per hit point. However, you can't heal naturally, and regain no hit points from resting.

Soul Leech. When you kill an enemy, you can use your bonus action to suck its soul, spending your Hit Die and regaining amount of HP equal to your hit die + your Constitution modifier. You can't use this feature when you destroy constructs.

Living Armor. Your armor is made of Dust-enhanced alloy, granting you a +1 bonus to Armor Class. You do not need to breathe or eat, but you have to consume Dust or souls instead.

Languages. You can read, speak and write Drakken and Amberian.

Is there a stat block for a hag grandmother somewhere, or is the only difference between ordinary hags and grandmothers the lair actions they have? I want the party to fight a hag that has lived as every type of hag for a couple centuries so I want her to be a bbeg for tier 3 play

There are three Warhammer universes:

Warhammer fantasy, which is what Total War: Warhammer is based on, a kind of grittier Tolkien high fantasy world loosely based on Medieval Europe.

Age of Sigmar, the Warhammer Fantasy successor that is a more mythological setting.

Warhammer 40,000, the science fantasy version Warhammer Fantasy that is kind of an alternate reality reflection of the fantasy universe. This is by far the most popular of the three.

If you want to get into the hobby, look over all the armies in the game system you like and find one you like the look and aesthetic feel of. Buy an HQ unit - a leader - and maybe a box of line troops. Assemble and paint all of these models completely before spending money on anything else. You don't want to blow $600 on this hobby and realize you have a giant pile of hastily-assembled gray plastic men you now want to sell. Take your time and lovingly paint and convert every model before moving on to more.

Also, never, NEVER buy an ugly model just because you like its rules in the tabletop game. Have high standards for the models you like, and if you want Axeman the Axegrinding Battleaxe but hate his model, convert one from a different, better-looking model.

So if I pick Wind as my element in Frozen, what specific gases can I shoot out of my body? Can I only emit the exact average composition of the atmosphere? Or can I control it? Could I shoot out pure oxygen?

Quick check says it can be, it just doesn't last because it rust away to quick or is in a liquid form inside magma veins and volcanoes.

A bigger and better excuse for not allowing steel would probably be because it is predominantly an alloy of Iron (metal) and Carbon (nonmetal).
