Thread pre-emptively claimed for Malal
Is it worth it to take a Paladin squad and attach an Apothecary to them and then another Paladin squad with a banner boy? Or is it better to put both Apothecary and Banner into one squad and then take a second squad and give them heavy weapons?
first for getting NecrOwned in 8th edition.
I need help, what colour should I paint my Dark Eldar? I'm a pretty shitty painter, so ideally something I can do via drybrushing, and on a fairly large scale for vehicles.
Some dumb anon tried to make a fetish thread which actually gave me an idea. Let's have a thread in which we help one another homebrew races we've always wanted to see/play in our settings. I will start with the space goats.
+2 Wis
Race 1 Eredar +1 or 2 Int
Languages: Eredar (Man'ari dialect), Abyssal
No clue about abilities, something demonic, fire DR perhaps and a familiar summon.
Race 2 Draenei +1 or 2 Cha
Languages: Eredar (Draenei dialect), Celestial
Gift of the Naaru: Restore HP equal to your character level to a target, once per long rest
Heroic Presence: Essentially Bardic Inspiration but once per long or short rest
Optionally 5 DR vs Necrotic Damage as well.
>>54886048
Go to Pathfinder for your terrible homebrew melting pot.
>>54886048
I would ask you for nerubian but that would be a bit more complicated I guess. I would even go as far as specific racial class personally.
But maybe +dex or +int? With a malus in Cha.
But then: web ability, poison ability and even more importantly spider climb, obliviously.
I feel the free extra mobility may be an issue, but I don't know shit.
Warcraft is no longer a fantasy game, it's a science fantasy game.
Discuss.
It has spaceship, steady tech creep subsidized by magic, themes slowly changing and also the aesthetics are also changing.
Also Sci-fi vs Fantasy vs Sci-fan
If they put Dalaran into a bubble and floated it into space, it'd be a "space ship" too. It can even teleport places.
I would argue that the shift happened when the dranei showed up on their crystal spaceships.

Phantasy Star 1-4 (not the mmos) and Starocean did it better
I wanna play an evil campaign.
Not "OW THE EDGE" that apparently pops up so many times with some weird player who barely hides his magical realm behind "but I'm EVIL" bullshit. I wanna have fun with this shit.
Skeletor-Tier evil with absurd heros and villains acting proposterous with ridiculous goals. I wanna have fun with this shit.
Have a skeleton army and order them to steal all the toilets from a town or something just to be dick to them.
Any experience? Ideas? I wanna bring it up but with something to back it up too.
>>54884212
>Have a skeleton army and order them to steal all the toilets from a town or something just to be dick to them.
Use necromancy to give the entire population a bone disease that prevents them from pronouncing the letter "n". See what happens (or rather: see what happes).
>>54884225
"And my name shall be...Ninivin."
>heros come to town
Who did this!?
"Iivi."
>>54884212
That's not good enough anon, don't run a campaign as the villains, but as the villains lackeys in his evil army you can basically run around swashbuckling and saying goofy shit

What's the best performance you've seen from someone who fully roleplayed a bard?
Also, what's up with you fuckers not posting a new thread before the old one dies? It's happened twice in a row now
Silent Image or Bane? You get no further information other than I'm a Warlock.
Would you consider dracoliches and dragons raised from the dead by necromancy the same thing, challenge wise? If there is a separate stat block, I cannot remember it very well.
Tau:

There are workshop mods for lasguns, botlers, helmets, guard voice packs etc.
Why aren't you leading the resistance in the name of the Emperor, Anon?
>>54883899
Waiting for WotC to drop.
>>54883921
That's no excuse for avoiding the enemy.
>>54883937
There is no enemy to avoid if the enemy does not exist.
Guys, has your GM ever thrown an unsolved mystery at you? I don't mean in a "Oh boy I read this on /x/ and now this will be the theme of my next sci fi horror adventure!" kind of way, I mean legit just put in something that was unexplainable given the current universes' rules?
>We're playing a very slow paced medieval low-fantasy campaign, involved with politics and what not
>Long story short, we've "pissed off" the king of a neighboring country
>Read: He was using a pretext to try and steal our ore reserves
>He assembles his army and brings them to bare
>Our battle begins tomorrow after dawn
>Tomorrow comes
>We've been psyching up the troops all night, the wizard using the last bit of his magic to make sure our king doesn't die, the cleric working in the kitchen, the rogue teaching the children how to fight dirty and protect the women, etc.
>We're prepared for our all out battle
>Noon comes
>We're still waiting
>What the fuck is going on?
>Should we attack anyways?
>Wait, some guy is coming out with a white flag and a baffled look on his face
>He's some no-name private
>Fighter: "Why are you not prepared for battle? What's going on?"
>Soldier: "That's the thing. We don't know either. All of our chain of command is missing"
>Rogue: "They ran away?"
>Soldier: "No, their horse, gear, food, it's all still here. Even their clothing is still here. If they ran off, they ran off butt naked in the middle of the night"
>Rogue: "ALL of them?"
>Yep. All of them. All the captains, the lieutenants, the prince, and the king. Gone
>Some of their clothing is torn. Others are lying in their mattress making a rough outline of how they slept, sometimes with a strange powder/ash in their bedding
>Wizard can't detect a single trace of magic
>Cannot identify the powder at all.
>We're all spooked as shit.
>DM is just grinning like a bastard.
We're still not sure if this was preplanned or if he was ejecting the plot somehow. We do know he loves supernatural shit though.
Doppelgangers.
>>54883821
What about them?
>>54883712
What do you mean "I don't know if this was preplanned". Of course it was. This is what we in the business refer to as a 'plot hook'. You're supposed to go find out what happened to these people.
How do you write your demons in your settings, /tg/?
>demons in the modern age have adapted to technology's affect on the human psyche and look like super attractive anime girls
>they're still evil and vicious as everloving fuck and will do all sorts of fucked up things to anyone foolish enough to fall for their trickery
Demons some time ago went through a populous revolution that created a more evenly distributed chaotic system. They threw down the demon princes and sold most of them to angles for infinite torture. Now they determine rulership by lots every day and each day throw down those demons as well when they try and keep power for longer than 24 hours. So demons are in a continuous state of lottery communism revolution run by a single devil who tricked them all into believing in the lots system.
>>54883177
That sounds like less vicious version of Turkish take on "democracy".
>>54883109
Well, depends on which setting i'm doing. In my 'donut steel original one'
>Hell was not created as a means to punish the wicked, but in God's great mercy, he created Hell to be a place of peace and a paradise for sinners so those who chose another path need not suffer
>Problem is, you populate paradise with a bunch of selfish, short-sighted assholes and it turns into hell pretty quickly.
>No one is happy in Hell, not even the 'rulers', their own actions inflict needless suffering on one another, and have turned a Garden of Eden into a blasted wasteland of ashes and poison
>in all fairness, demons, like anyone trapped in hell just want to get out
>But demons tend to still have such a selfish, short-sighted mindset, it's not long before they start to cause 'hell' to appear on earth, growing around them as they poison the mortal realm
>nevermind still being an asshole that never sees any reason to cooperate with people witout getting something out of it.

Depala is okay in my books.
How do you like your Minotaurs, /tg/?
-Do you like them intelligent or barbaric?
-Should they reproduce through rape, naturally, or both?
-If you have them as brutes, how do you separate them from other brutes?
-Do you do anything interesting with their 'labyrinth' trope?
Maybe most importantly:
-Feet or Hooves? Which do you think looks better and why?-If you have FEMALE Minotaurs, should they have both udders and human breasts or just human breasts?
Bumpin' cause I can't believe no one wants to talk about Minotaurs!
I like 'em as terrifying, savage, subsentient monstrosities that reproduce through unknown (but rumored) means.
I personally prefer hooves because it adds more to the design.
Haven't done anything interesting with labyrinths yet, but I just might.
>>54879636
I prefer them to be aberrations desu.
Like in the myths I like them to be a rare creature born by supernatural.
So I suppose they'd be sterile.
