Do you believe that the eigenvalues of a graph are a spectrum?
>>8864952
Well that is what spectrum means.
I guess I didn't really have a long term plan for this thread.
>>8864992
It's okay, OP. I laughed.
Suppose someone invented a time-camera that is capable of rewinding unbelievable amounts of time at whatever hypothetical settings you preset it to follow.
If I set it to follow my patriarchal line directly up, roughly how many different grandfathers would I see before I end up at this guy?
>>8864831
An entire spectrum of grandfathers.
>>8864834
Literally the same fucking retard who's been first posting spectrum memes on everyone's thread
>>8864868
what does it even mean
not too caught up with the latest shit I was just reading about shrews at work and decided to make this thread
>We got to Mars
>dark matter
>flu persists
Explain.
>>8864814
Diseases and ailments are a spectrum.
These are completely different fields.
When people make advancements in space exploration, that doesn't mean advancements are made in molecular medicine. It's different people doing this stuff dude.
>>8864818
Holy every time I see one of these
>5 minutes into the lab
>get anxious and sweaty
>foggy goggles
How do you fix this /sci/?
Xanax
>>8864767
did you try out some other goggles? and dont wear them too close to your root of your nose. and make sure that the googles are the same temperature as your skin. and make sure to piss into your goggles before the first use.
>lab partner is a latina qt3.14
>go autismo
ho do i fix this?
was working on a literature review final paper for my senior capstone course, came across this little gem, and almost gave myself a hernia trying not to laugh in the library. I know it's kinda immature but holy fuck man this last name literally sounds like clench ass how fucking hilarious is that
and of course it's actually a woman's last name; if there was ever a case against hyphenating, here it is, lmfao
You guys ever come across dumb shit like this?
>>8864716
XD LOL GET IT CLENCH-ASS
sage this stupid fucking thread
grow the fuck up, you little shit
>>8864763
This.
Quit being such a fucking 9-year old, OP. I bet you sure are a charm to work with in a lab.
>>8864763
>>8864781
the fuck is wrong with you guys? I literally put a disclaimer saying I know its immature and somehow you manage to ignore that completely
is there something wrong with having a laugh once in a while? when did it become a thing that no one is ever allowed to joke about anything?
I'm not condoning constantly goofing off in labwork or field research you aspies; christ almighty
discuss
spectrum
>>8864629
Salvia sucks fucking shit. On a hallucinogen spectrum, from right to left, left being fun vs right being terrifying, it's all the way to 80% right of the spectrum.
Did I use a spectrum right?
>>8864629
Salvia is one of the wildest drugs that exists. Very unique. I used to smoke it in high school before I ever tried cannabis.
It isn't "fun" by any stretch of the imagination. It's kind of unpleasant and horrifying, actually. I kept going back to it just the same.
I believe it only grows in Oaxaca, Mexico naturally. It's one of those things that I wouldn't be surprised if it came from outer space just as mushrooms or tardigrades give a similar impression.
Can you solve it, /sci/? This is a pretty hard problem.
>solving DEs analytically
As a computer scientist I laugh at you
*writes a numerical solution and fucks your gf while your trying to solve analytically*
>>8864592
It's something multiplied by cos x
>>8864620
i like to pronounce runge kutta like kraka toa
Any electricalfags could explain this?
https://www.liveleak.com/view?i=b3e_1493319264
Electricity is a spectrum, dumb idiot.
>>8864299
Not an electric fag but Its not necessarily odd. We have a computer cart that if you touch the metal door frame while holding onto the cart you feel a current going through you. I imagine a similar thing is happening here.
>>8864299
THIS IS A DRILL
>math majors think they are smart
pro-tip: most math majors I know of are former engineers who dropped because they couldn't handle the rigor
>tfw getting my masters in MechE
>tfw also speak fluent mandarin
>tfw going to make 300,000 starting
get fucked poorfags
I'm not sure if I want to do engineering. It seems almost like vocational work. I don't see how it would ever be more interesting than having a research position in math physics chemistry. The money seems insignificant in comparison.
>>8864288
poverty is a spectrum.
>>8864288
Without math mayors engineers are nothing. Its beyond me how retarded you are
I'm not a flat-Earther, but I do want to know why hasn't anybody in the history of mankind flown a plane through the Antarctic landmass? It would easily shut up actual flat-Earthers by proving circumnavigation through longitude. Why has literally nobody ever done this before? Not even some random wealthy fuck with time on their hands?
>>8864227
>nobody ever done this before
why do you think no one has done this before?
>>8864227
Antarctica is a spectrum
>>8864227
I flew through it on my way to detroit. Never take a plane that uses a taximeter.
Why does the universe look like this?
here's what it actually looks like...
>>8864116
It was designed that way
>>8864116
That's a cube of universe, not the whole structure.
http://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0306460316302659
Is this legit?
>>8863985
I've been on adderall since 6
Its helped me focus on acedemic pursuits unrelated to class
idk who they studied but I have depression and my own experience with adderall is that it helps a lot during the 6-8 hours that it's active but you go back to normal afterward, it could potentially help in school if you always take it whenever you're in class or doing homework
I stopped taking it because I'm actually trying to get better
Explain what science is with your own words
A method of interpreting observations by systematically testing variables in the phenomena to be understood.
Studying the universe trying to find out how it works.
>>8863963
It's a methodology to investigate nature while knowing that our biases could influence our understanding. That's why we have a process of peer-review.
Any knowledge we gain from science isn't an absolute, but on a spectrum of knowledge.
Sci, observe pic related. I work in a lab. We have a VNA. I got bored and did an experiment.
I got a section of bare wire and wrapped it once around a fluorescent lamp. The bare wire is also connected to port 1 and 2 of the VNA. The blue curve is the S21 parameter with the lamp off . The red one is with the lamp on. As you see at 50MHz there is a 43dB difference . This is pretty dramatic.
What phenomenon am I observing, exactly.
A spectrum.
>>8863908
Thanks. I kinda understand that. Can you explain why the spectrum is different when the fluorescent lamp is on?
>>8863908
To further my point 50MHz isn't the frequency of visible light that comes out of the lamp, and the spectrum has a through not a peak.
This isn't a visible light spectrum registering the light output of the light
>2017
>still no cure to pericoronitis
>"WE GONNA TERRAFORM MARS AND MAKE QUANTUM COMPUTERS AND SHIEEET"
>>8863879
wtf you talking about, the cure is cutting the excess flap off or extraction
>>8863879
it's cured in my family
literaly no one had that problem
>CURRENT YEAR
>still no care for balding
