Are you claiming life could arise without evolution?
>>8868922
Last I heard evolution and emersion were two different English words
Throughout history, many Scientists that have revolutionized their respective field of Science had mental disorders. Einstein had Asperger's syndrome, Issac Newton had Bipolar disorder, Charles Darwin had Anxiety disorder and Thomas Edison had dyslexia. Explain this.
>>8868654
People who tend to alienate others generally have a lot more time to think about shit.
Our definition of disorder is wrong
>>8868654
>Isaac Newton had Bipolar Disorder
You missed the other 6 disorder
Why do so many people still don't believe that there are more than two genders and sexes in healthy, well-adjusted adult individuals, even when it is backed scientifically by countless psychologists and sociologists? The writing is on the wall. To think that humans only consist of males and females is utter ignorance.
>>8868533
>countless psychologists and sociologists
So... we should just trust people with arts degrees and take their word for things?

Are you butthurt because a certified psychologist gave you a low IQ score?
Does is freak anyone else out that 80 percent of the universe's mass comes from a substance we can't explain or observe? Dark matter doesn't emit light or energy, yet it is rapidly growing through our universe and without it we wouldn't exist. The fact that we may never understand our own universe baffles me. We are the kin to this universe and deserve to know more.
What are some of /sci/'s theories as to what dark matter is and why we need it?
>>8868473
>beliving in dark matter
You realize that (((scientists))) literally made it up just to fix their equations that kept breaking as they discovered they were more and more wrong about the universe. Dark matter is the "the earth is the center of the universe" of our time.
>>8868473
>substance
Dark matter is not matter thus cannot be defined as a substance instead dark matter is a "something" we cant explain.
dark matter is literaly just black holes. there isnt a form of matter that doesnt interact with electromagnetic spectrum.
Math is made up, like English, gender, or race.
Show me one example of a number that wasn't imagined by a sentient creature.
The number one
before humans, somewhere there was one rock.
Evidence: the field of geology
A thing called a fibonacci sequence which is found all throughout nature
>>8868455
Numbers are made up, quantities, however, do exist. Even animals are instinctively hardwired to perceive quantities.
>don't even now my seven timestables
>>8868452
Why should you? Our machines liberate us to focus on higher level, more abstract concepts.
>>8868461
>more abstract concepts.
Like 8 times tables
>>8868461
what dose abstract meen?
We only know 4% about our universe.
>>8868228
First you need to define "know" a bit more rigorously, because in some definitions it would be far, far closer to 0%, and others it would be closer to 100%.
>>8868243
How low is your IQ?
YOU WERE THE CHOSEN ONE
IT WAS SAID THAT YOU WOULD EDUCATE THE MORONS, NOT JOIN THEM
YOU WERE TO DESTROY THE MISINFORMATION, NOT SPREAD IT
>>8868142
We not only helped spread misinformation, we also threw a little disinformation is as well! We cover all the parts of the information spectrum.

How is it possible that applying electricity over a metal can generate a magnetic field?

Why are you such a little bitch?
I'm in a very advanced undergrad math course (I won't say where), and I have a week to do this problem set.
Is that much time doable? I have about 60 hours of free time between now and then.
No, I don't want help, as I need to practice the material on my own.
I'm sorry OP, this isn't very advanced for an undergrad course. I highly doubt you would need to spend more than 5 hours on it.
>>8867289
Very advanced.
>>8867289
these problems aren't that difficult
are there religious people in neurobiology courses?

yes, why?

I'm Catholic and I'm about to do a rotation in a neuro lab at Duke as part of my first year of PhD studies.

Hey /sci
mechE student here and I wanna learn programming by myself. I know basic OOP Java that's it.
Which book should I do? What other path would you recommend ?

FORTRAN - its what most FEA software is written in.
Visual Basic - no matter where you go as an engineer, they are gonna have excel. as a matter of fact, thats probably all they will have. knowing how to bust out apps for your cheapskate boss in a platform he has on all his computers is valuable af.
Python - cuz its easy
>>8866866
Thanks a lot mate nice digits too
The sticky wiki said to start with c++ so should I ditch that?
Also how do I go about for python and visual basic?

"Science" in no way is under the consensus that anything he said about gender, sexuality, etc. Is wrong, though.
The first step would be to have difinitive proof that treatment of gender dysphoria by transitioning isn't helpful, then convince the entire scientific and medical communities of it.
Good luck.
