There is no other side.
I want to learn a coding language that's useful, however I don't know where to start. I'm fairly smart so i would prefer to start with something challenging. I don't want to learn anything useless like HTML. What should I learn?

>Early elementary school teachers in the United States are almost exclusively female (>90%), and we provide evidence that these female teachers’ anxieties relate to girls’ math achievement via girls’ beliefs about who is good at math. First- and second-grade female teachers completed measures of math anxiety. The math achievement of the students in these teachers’ classrooms was also assessed. There was no relation between a teacher’s math anxiety and her students’ math achievement at the beginning of the school year. By the school year’s end, however, the more anxious teachers were about math, the more likely girls (but not boys) were to endorse the commonly held stereotype that “boys are good at math, and girls are good at reading” and the lower these girls’ math achievement. Indeed, by the end of the school year, girls who endorsed this stereotype had significantly worse math achievement than girls who did not and than boys overall.

Makes sense. I guess we need some government funding to put more men in charge as teachers and demote women into cleaning ladies for a while. For equality.
>>8858277
makes sense to me, shit teachers don't inspire learning.
>>8858277
lol girls aren't good at reading either though
After WW3 lets say we nuke the shit out of ourselves. What do then?
We gotta repopulate right?
logically speaking, could we repopulate the world with only 2 people?
Say 2 people are left
now those 2 people have kids
Now this is where incest comes in
those children fuck and have children and they have 4 children?
I feel like they would die before they could repopulate so what's the least amount if people it would take to repopulate the world? I want to say at least 3 couples. But there would be a LOT of fucking.
Earth will probably be inhospitable for human life for thousands of years after WW3, repopulation won't be an option.

Dear Piggot,
What you're talking about is the fibonacci function.
Powers of 2 are also important. For your problem you can create an inverted binary tree.
Start with 2. 2 make 1 and you need 2 of 1s to make a 1.
2 Parents fuck-a-lot and shoot cum and pussy juice everywhere. GOD I miss having sex, I haven't fucking in months, man.
2 parents make 1 kid, 1 kid fucks his mom makes another kid.
Wait, now we have a problem. Should we let the kids fuck their mothers or should we only let brothers and sisters fuck?
If the parents make 2 kids and the kids make 2 kids, 6 people would be alive.at this point.
6 people can fuck in pairs of two, if each of the females can spawn from their legs a maximum of 2 kids then:
6 kids will be born
now we have 12 piggots.
12 piggots of which 6 are male, 6 are female.
6 males fuck 2 females, go round robin, rotational bitshift. 12 kids are born
now we have 18 people. 18 are born from this generation's fucking. 36.
so, we had 2,4,6,12,18,36.
1+1
1+3
1+5
1+11
1+17
1+35
I saw some prime numbers, problem too hard for me, I give up. I'm a piggot.
Regards,
Piggot

Hey guys, does anyone mind helping me locate the independent/dependent variables in the various hypothesis's listed below?
Hypothesis 1: As a country's per capita GDP increases, its Polity score { which ranges from
-10 (autocracy) to 10 (full democracy) { increases.
Hypothesis 2: States that have strict background check laws on gun sales see fewer deaths
per capita from gun violence than states that do not.
Hypothesis 3: Those with a college degree di er from those without a college degree in their
tendency to support a political candidate by putting a bumper sticker on their car or a sign
in their yard.
Your help is greatly appreciated!

that last hypothesis says *differ and not di er, my mistake!

I've got a fucking Calc III exam in 30 min. WHAT TEH FUCK THERE ARE DOUBLE INTEGRALS??? As if 1 integral wasn't fucking hard enough, some faggot had to go and do this shit. Are there fucking triple integrals too? What the fuck are these shits even used for?
FUCK NEWTON
newton did not have the brain power to imagine the triple integral. it was not until barnett theory that the triple integral came to existence.
Having only taken Cal 2, I believe that with a double integral you take the integral as usual and then take the next one.
>>8857944
just integrate it twice. Once for the inside thing and once for the outside thing. Don't get hung op on things being X or Y just roll with the definitions and integrate with respect to whatever is called out. Its not that bad, really.

I'm learning basic geometry shit now and I'm learning some definitions and I'm a little confused about planes and dimensions.
>A point has no dimensions - only position.
>A line is one-dimensional.
>A plane is two-dimensional.
>A solid is three-dimensional.
Okay, so since a plane can be thought of as a flat surface with no thickness, and it has two dimensions, does that mean that if I have a bunch of lines and points, they are all on a plane automatically? Like if I have a blank sheet of paper, that sheet of paper is the plane, and I draw a bunch of lines and shit on it - those lines are still on dimensional, but they all just rest in the plane, thus making the plane more like a container?
Can I not have a line/point without them being on a plane? Where do solids come into play? Are 3 dimensional solids on a plane as well?
Is this even something I should care this much about?
>>8857744
Okay so dimensions.
>A dimension is the measure of the size of an object, usually given as length, width, and height.
Okay, so if I have a three dimensional shape, I usually have length width and height. If I only have length and width, that makes it a two dimensional shape.
If I'm left with one dimension, that means I have just length, which is a line.
If I have no dimension, I only have position.
Is that it?

For the Mensans, how long after the test did you get your results?
I took the test Saturday. The first was the Wonderlic (50 questions, 12 minutes) I think I did well. The 2nd test was the Reynolds (RAIT). I did well on every section except the first; it was literally a pop culture test of sorting famous figures by category (actor, comedian, scientist, religious figure).

Why should I care about global warming and climate change if its going to affect humans 1000 years in the future? Like, no offence to any time travellers on this board, but I really couldn't care less about Cleetus the XII in the 31st century get fucked over by rising sea levels. Its up to them to solve their own problems in the future, not shift the responsibility to us in the past.

Imagine earth being a handful of degrees colder than it is now, let's say around 4-5° C. Doesn't sound like too much, right?
That's the difference between Boston as it is today, and Boston under a mile of ice (22000 years ago)
We're heading straight for 2°C degrees more than today in less than 100 years
