Starting another build. Building a 1:50 Jagdpanzer 38(T). Should look great next to my 1:35 Sturmgeschütz III I am building in another thread.
>>550002
First things first...the inner frame. I used some spray adhesive to glue the frame work to 1mm cardboard, then cut the parts out, and assembled them. Its pretty rigid the way it is now, and doesn't really require glue, but I still added glue in the corners.
>>550004
Another picture of the framework.
>>550005
All built.
I want to make a valentines day card for my boyfriend and I wanted to know what you would call this particular type of paper craft where you make an image with layers of paper. He loves foxes and I wanted to make him something like this. Also any images of valentines or fox related paper craft would be very much appreciated. Any help is very much appreciated /po/.

Do you mean something like paper tole or strictly things similar to your image? As far as I can tell that doesn't have a name but I could be wrong (I'm probably wrong). Here's a couple links for you that I scrounged up. I don't have patterns for them but they should be trivial to make if you can spare a couple minutes with Photoshop.

Thank you so much for your help. Yeah I wanted something where layer paper.
>>549863
Decoupage? That's layers and you sometimes use padded tape to lift layers higher off each other. Also good luck
Any comicbook papercraft guides out there?

OP from that paper airliner thread. I am currently working on a 1:35 Sturmgeschütz III. I used cardboard for the internal frame, and added 90 degree triangles for support.

Hey friend from /po/, /3/ here.
I would like to help you guys. I had a quick look on the board, and it seems that you guys use some 3D modeling to create your -amazing- papercraft props, right?
I have almost 5 years in 3D modeling, which I think could be useful to you guys :)
Anyway, there's a party coming up and I would like to creat a mask.
I would like to create something that you guys are interested, and while I do that, you guys could help me in doing something cool for myself - sounds fair?
Just tell me how I could help you, and point me to the right direction showing me some cool masks and ideas and how to create them to help me.
Peace
What software do you use?
How did you learn it?
>>549922
I started with /3/'s sticky and gradually studied more from youtube and other sources. Eventually I had the opportunity to study in workshops with amazing artists like Rafael Grassetti and Bruno Câmara.
Softwares are not that super important - they're asking which brands of glue of pencil and artist uses, you know? HOWEVER, some softwares are pretty much industry standards, like Zbrush and Photoshop. 3Ds Max and Maya are extremaly common aswell, but most companies have their own pipeline and software preferences.
That's why Theory is more important than software. What matters is How and Why you do certain stuff, not "which buttons to press".
Any leads on some cool masks to do?

Just throwing up a blurry image and saying "make this better" doesn't give us much to work with.

hmmmm I wonder what this is
Hi everybody, I have a little trouble here. I have a friend who is a skilled papercraft fan and I'd like to get something for him for Christmas. He likes to craft large, complex vehicles, cars including the engine and all the details to the top, so it needs to be something really challenging and complex. But I don't know where to find such sheets and unfortunately, here in Czech republic, it's hard to find a shop which has something special, or anything he hasn't done yet. Can you help me out? It needs to be a vehicle, a car, something industrial, machinery. Thank you very much and sorry for any mistakes, I am czech, still learning to speak english properly.
This site has a lot of nice vehicles as well as a whole assortment of other stuff, you'll be surprised what you might come accross http://only-paper.ru/
Exactly what I had in mind, thank you very much!
>>548366
Your english is alright.
Click the number in people's post to quote them, that way they get noticed if you tell them something.
Other than that, you don't need to use names here. Most people don't like people who do and often avoid helping them. Me included. I'm only helping you because I can see you are new around here and didn't know this.
I've found this website: http://ojimak.web.fc2.com/hanger.html a couple years ago and i think it is worth sharing, if you know any website that has free 3d planes to download please share
>>549705 (OP)
thanks :)
What is the password for the files?
the password is 'ojimak'
Hey, /po/. I'm working on designing a map for a D&D world which used to be flat but "the fabric of space" was folded into a ball by a wizard making the present-day round planet. The space between the folds are basically hidden extra-dimensional spaces (because the origin of the globe is not common knowledge), and the folds themselves act as ley-lines.
But my question is: does anyone have a good crease pattern for something like this? I don't want it too complex, but I do want it a bit more intricate than pic related. The players will not necessarily traverse the whole world so a pattern with many localized folds is preferred to something more uniform. And the result doesn't have to be a perfect sphere because ocean water can be used as filler.
Thanks.
>>549772
i have two suggestions (they seem to be mutually exclusive)
1. low poly sphere/ papercraft sphere/ geometric sphere
>basically crafting a sphere then adding extra layers on the surface just like how a window in a children's book would work.
disadvantages would include
>placing game pieces on board would be hard- you can decide to place magnets on the interior of the sphere but you'd probably need large numbers of weak magnets. Otherwise, you could employ double-sided tape on the bottom of your pieces.
2.flat circle- display-able game board.
>view pic in link.
>make several circular maps and make it somewhat like a book- you can flip the pages to change maps/dimensions whatever.
i ought to make a game like option two. with more thought, it could sell really well.
have fun with your project, man.
>>549782
Thanks for the suggestions, but I don't actually need a physical object to place pieces on. My plan is to overlay a crease pattern onto a flat map, then fold it up, then map the remaining surface land using a 2D projection like Mercator or something.
I have considered using a papercraft net for an icosahedron instead of origami.
