My local VW dealer has a 2016 GTI SE with 35,000 miles for about $18,000.

Any red flags from that information alone?

Yes. 35,000 miles in a year? Or even in 2 years that's kind of a lot. This car sounds like some kind of dealer workhorse that got flogged.

Its not worth it unless you are planning to restore the thing inside and out. And if you are, why would you? Its not collectible. Dont pay more than a grand. Plan to buy another car in a few years.

94 is a facelift model, watch out for rust and the bio degradable wiring loom which they are known for

Why do sub 2015 american cars look so fucking gay ass shit?
I gotta admit that 2015+ chargers, challengers, mustangs look fucking handsome.
Did even a test drive on a mustang this weekend and saw the other cars live too. Incredible sexy.
The old ones have taillights from 1995 and a fucking boxy shitbox design. How did 2015 save the american car industry?

Chrysler vehicles have been falling apart since 2000.
I dont know why people still buy them. They're objectively bad cars. But these are probably the people that still buy parts from NAPA.

Question:

Every time I brake hard from 100, 90, 80, 70 mph I can feel my steering vibrate, but I just changed by brakes 15k ago, and my tires still have decent tread (Michelin Primacy's), so could it be warped rotors? Defective pads? Or is it alignment? Or is it warped tires?

Car is a 2015 Camry

I'm still able to stop, but I can feel like something is vibrating or jumping up and down on the road, I think it's my tires because I'm not getting any brake fade when I press down and hold it, but could it be something else? No sound coming from brakes either
>>
>>17549544
Depending on where you live your rotors will warp to fuck. They are probably warped if you only feel it from braking.
>>
>>17549544
You shouldn't be braking hard from 100.

Also putting the tires under a large load will make the imperfections of the road shine through to the steering wheel.
I swear everyone is fucking retarded. Your car is behaving normally.

Their v6 was sohc garbage anyway.

Honda deserve to go straight into the garbage since they fell to the turbo meme but the american Fit is fine

They need to pring back the Prelude or Accord Type R. Coupe that looks subtle and unriced with the full 300hp and the same diff as the CTR in a slightly heavier and daily driver focus chassis. Would sell like crazy I bet.

I only ever seem to see these on lemans cars. Underneath by the looks of it is a standard OZ racing wheel.

What do these do? I cannot find any information on them but I think they look awesome.

Are they actually functional? The Audi LMP1 car won so they must be at least useful.

I unironically want to make some and stick them on my sports car

Trying to understand porsche a little better. I've worked on a few gt3 cup cars, but really don't know shit about porsche in general.

One problem i'm having is distinguishing the different variants of these fucker engines. Does porsche even name their engines? Is there a common designation? Every other manufacturer has a name for each engine, family at least. But everything these nazis make is a 6 pot boxer, there must be engine codes.
What's the name for a 2.7 in a cayman? How about 3.4 in the cayman s. How do you even shop for a specific engine to swap into your base model carrera to upgrade it?

I have an 09 lancer non turbo, fwd, standard 5 speed. the engine makes a high pitch whining noise that gets louder with rpm, to be honest it sounds like a supercharger but I don`t have one, any idea what it could be?

Worn serpentine belts can whine as they wear down, look for cracking or dry rotting on the belt. I've dealt with this many times before.

Ultimate starter cars that aren't worth the trouble anymore because they're falling apart and/or turning to rust: the Thread

I'll start
>volvo wagon
>classic mercedes diesel
>EG civic
>NA miata

Not saying they're undriveable, but finding a good one is getting hard and the work on anything with the usual mileage isn't worth the price due to repairs. Also rust.

I have good memories in all of these cars, but fuck if I'd want to be stuck with one now.
