Honda Miata nismo
Literally any car at all with some simple modifications.
Id like to buy a pre-1996 Diesel car, possibly a Mercedes.
Im in California so Diesels of those years or older are Smog exempt.
Id like to DD a sedan and tinker with it.
What diesel best?
80's Mercedes TD
>>17780991
So any 300D?
>>17781003
Any old Merc diesel from the 80s and 90s, they pretty much live forever
Help me choose a color for the vw polo
Toffee brown and Blue silk

looks like the owner was a basketball american

Me thinks his complexion is lighter and he speaks with a "southern" accent
You deserve everything that happens if you downgrade from an '09 Civic to a 30 year old shitbox with 200k on the clock.
So why the fuck don't we already have this already. The concept is nothing new. Fiat had something working a while ago. Koenigsegg are working on one now. It offers improved power, efficiency and more.
It just seems the next obvious step in the computerized control of ICEs, and I don't know why it's taking so long.
>>17780699
Koenigsegg has it in the regera already fag.
Reliability and cost make it currently only viable for supercars.
Still a relatively "new" thing. Had to be tested, also it's expensive compared to camshafts.

Surprising how often this happens.
I guess there's a lot of incompetent retards doing tipper work.

How do they not notice that its up? I keep hearing about it and it just makes no sense.

kek, including the n15 pulsar next to it
Im sick and tired of CUVs, touch screen infotainment, 20 inch rims and tires with damn near aspect ratios of 10. Why does the US need these shitty auto regulations? Why can't we go back to simple vehicles with manual mirrors and windows? I'd kill for something like pic related.

The Dacia Duster Oroch is your answer senpai.

Can't get them in Burgerland. Life is suffering.
>it's an "OP complains that he isn't the target audience of anything new on a Lithuanian hair styling board"
Are there any 80's meme cars worth buying other than the AE86?
>>17780581
You bet.
Hello.
Hey batter batter.
When was the last time you had people in the backseat
>>17780399
never because my car doesn't have a backseat
Uuuuuuhhm ... I drove my grandparents somewhere a few months ago. But we could've just as well used their car.
Honestly I could easily consider a two seater for my next car, but it doesn't really broaden my search. Most cars just come with four seats whether you need them or not. It's not like a convertible top or pickup bed that you can deliberately ignore.

same
So I was checking the oil level cars in the cars and I noticed something weird. The brown oil is my petrol car with 5000 miles on the oil. And the black stuff is my partners deisel that was services max 500 miles ago. Should it be that black?!
>>17780340
Diesels turn their oil black in like 5 seconds after the first startup on new oil, it's just because of how diesels work. Soot from the exhaust can blowby into the crankcase, and that turns the oil black. Totally normal and would be more worrying if it didn't happen.
>>17780340
listen to >>17780348
Diesel exhaust can slip through the piston rings and contaminate the oil. It's completely normal, just keep the filter in good condition.
Ok cheers guys. You're awesome.
But what about the petrol, can you tell if it needs changing by the colour? I've always done it after 5000, but it seems to be in good condition.
My shitboxes transmission acts up and everyone I've talked to can't seem to find the problem
However I don't want to wait until something breaks for fear that it will cost me a shit ton more than what I could've payed if I found the problem early
Anyone else have an experience like this? How did you get past it? My friends just tell me it's all mechanical and it's all bound to break but still
>>17780024
i drive a $263 copart whip thats barely legal every day, and only take out my nice car on nights/weekends. if something breaks i go into a depressive tailspin, dont look at it for a week, panic, buy parts, break something else, drive it anyways because this FUCKING HONDA CIVIC IS KILLING ME, break down, buy a parts car, and watch the nice car magically fix itself.
tl:dr, buy a parts car if your car retails for under 10k. if you are autistic about your car, buy a cheap junker honda/toyota and drive it until it drops. the $263 05 civic has had a rod knock for 24k miles since i bought it but 3 quarts of lucas made that a little less obnoxious.
>>17780024
>How did you get past your fear of your car failing /o/?
I don't. It's never let me down.
Start putting money in a transmission fund
