Hey /o/,
I got a oil consumption test on my gear the last time I took it to the dealer ship. Its the first car I ever had and I have had it for about 11 months now. 2008 toyota camry.
Anyway, the dealer ship put the test on and told me to return it after 1100-1300 miles. Right now its nearing the 1300 mile marker for the test. I probably won't be able to get it back into the dealership for like another 100-150 miles.
Is missing that 1300 mile marker going to fuck the test up? I feel like such a idiot for not planning properly. What I am trying to find out is.. just how far over the target mileage for a oil consumption test can I go?
Thanks in advance. Also, having a car finally is pretty exciting. Now after many months of not having to ride the bus, I see just how ass riding the bus was.
Can't answer about the oil, but if that's OC, what item did you buy to get that?
Been wanting to buy one of those jackets for a while, but I didn't want to be an autist.
How is there any other test besides looking at the god damn dipstick
It'll probably burn 5w20 driving hard so use 5w30 or 0w30
>>17774544
If you miss the marker you'll need to start again.

The dealership puts stickers around various holes to make sure the only way oil leaves the engine is through the tailpipe. They top off the oil, throw the stickers on. Then, after the specified mileage has passed, if one quart of oil isn't enough to bring it back to full, they get a free engine rebuild.
What would happen if I ordered this plate?
it would probably be denied
>>17774397
do it pussy
Any edgy plates like that ever get denied? If they don't are you pretty much set?

My friend drinks and drives. I told him it's stupid of him to do that but he got mad and called me a fag.

Call him a fag back to his face.

Sounds about right. Defense mechanism, he's got a problem. People who don't have a problem and drive drunk would answer "I know it's bad, I really should stop. Thanks fag"
I have a question for all the tall guys on /o/ - as a 6'11" monstrosity, would I fit in the 2017 Yaris? Thanks.
No.
Get a truck, SUV. Those are your only options. Deal with it, freak. How big is your penis?
>>17774293
actually, you might.
i had a friend who was way over 6' and he sold his LR defender for a 2000 corolla hatch. Says he fit more comfortably there.
why dont you go to the dealership and try one of the yaris' out
Have you tried test driving it?

How long did Nissan expect to ride out the GTR, it has already been 10 years.
What is Nissan even doing with their sports cars?

Those boomerang headlights look disgusting. Why do all Ferraris look so goddamn angry now? Rest of the car looks gorgeous though, like a toned down F12 cabrio.

Is it ever actually faster to drift through a corner than maintain grip throughout or was Initial D just a huge meme?
Do you ever see actual race cars drift?
Its a huge meme for people in shitboxes who corner so slow anyway that drifting doesnt make a big difference.

So I'm going to look an an 85 325i coupe today, I'm pretty excited. The guy has been really open with the car and says it's running and driving well and that he recently replaced hoses, belts and plugs. He sent me the VIN and it checks out as a clean title 325i with plenty of factory options, including the Cardinal Red interior option. Here's the punch though; 240k miles on the odometer, and he says they're on the original M20. It's a 32 year old car anyway, so I'm not shocked, but expecting to spend a pretty penny over the next couple weeks in replacing wear components.
I usually try to avoid buying a used car on the first look, but the guy is a truck driver and is leaving town from saturday until the 11th, and i really do want to putt around town a little in it without having to wait 2 weeks.
Anyone on here an E30 guru? obviously there is general rules to follow in the dance of used car transactions, but particular to E30's. I've been searching the BMW forums and whatnot but it's always nice to hear from others.

just affix the new one on the end of your exhaust, don't worry about removing the old one. the emissions will still go through the new one and get filtered.
Delete it

try a Chevrolet converter instead, same shit different badge
Lets see how this goes. Is /o/ patrician enough to keep a track thread alive?
>How do I track?
Join a club, most don't require you to own the particular brand of vehicle. (PCA requires a VIN)

https://www.pca.org/
https://www.vette-club.org/
http://www.mustang.org/
>Beginner's guide
https://driver61.com/resources/track-day-guide/
>how much does it cost?
Not much. Tracks cost about $15,000 a day but the fee is split up between club members who go to the event. The average is probably $400 per weekend event.
>My car isn't fast
Everyone from Cadillac CTS-V to Miatas, civics, and station wagons, will show up to the track. If you havn't done it before having less than 250 horse power is ideal. Nobody will judge you anyway.
>what if I damage my car
Tracking is usually safer than high way driving due to the nature of the event attracting only skilled drivers. As for mechanical problems, you'll literally be surrounded by car enthusiasts who are happy to help, especially new and younger drivers. New drivers don't drive hard enough to really have to worry about tires or brakes.
>I don't actually know how to drive fast
When you sign up you will be asked to give an experience level. Most clubs have the most experienced drivers sit in the passenger seat of novice and intermediate drivers as 'instructors' to teach you. You'll be on the track with drivers of similiar skill so you won't feel like a faggot.
Share experiences or questions.
Is it good on track or just a cruiser?
Took my DD 235i and had some issues, now I wondering if i should buy a cheaper track rat for beating up at the track and let my DD just do DD and fun public road driving.
Tracks cost more than speeding tickets and the fee is a guarantee. Nothx.
I'm a bikefag anyways
