Which one is a better car to own as a daily driver? This includes costs, like MPG and repairs.
I'm really into the WRX because I had a bugeye back in the day and the new ones seem relatively refined for a daily driver. I know what to expect from them in terms of reliability and repair costs.
For Audi I would probably get an A4 or really any sedan with a manual. I like that they are pretty refined, so I think they would make a comfy and good looking daily. However tha part that scares me is how much they could potentially cost to maintain, as I have never owned one. My only experience with German cars are E46s that seem to need a good amount of repair work.
If I got the Audi, it would be used.
why a wrx? i like the legacy more. especially the turbo ones
>>16864301
Good question, I guess the WRX seemed like the go too car for performance for your money. However since I want something more refined then Legacy could be good.
Do they still make turbo legacy with manual? Used is fine too I guess.
>>16864324
Ok, so they do have some used ones:
2005 legacy turbo for 9k

2012 legacy for 20k

I kinda like the look of the 2005 more.

Sup, /o/, I've been thinking of replacing my flywheel with a lightweight one and have a few questions:
How universal are flywheels? Do they need to be engine-specific? Or car model specific? Manufacturer specific?
How much will acceleration impove? Or generally how good is in terms of bang for the buck? Can it fix my laggy throttle response?
>How universal are flywheels?
Not at all.
>Do they need to be engine-specific?
Yes.
>Or car model specific?
No.
>Manufacturer specific?
Yes
>How much will acceleration impove?
Depends on car and engine.
>Or generally how good is in terms of bang for the buck?
It is a hell lot of work and usually doesn´t do much.
>Can it fix my laggy throttle response?
To a low extend.
>>16863816
>Can it fix my laggy throttle response
If you're looking to fix this, there are alot more things before the power gets to the flywheel that would be the culprit.
>>16863888
Such as? I really need to do something about the throttle response because it is a fucking joke really.
Nice trips btw

I am putting together a cargo van just like pic related.
Its all white and I want to do some cool 70s style graphics
Is there is website somewhere that will have templates for this?
Also anyone have any cool ideas for this big blank canvas?

Check out Frank Frazetta's paintings, then have a guy who fried his brain on acid and thinks its still the 70s airbrush it on
I am hoping to do this fairly cheap so probably not going to wrap the entire van.
Was thinking some cool orange stripes maybe?

>how hard of a job would it be to fix?
To do it yourself, properly? You'll need a welder at the very least. The less equipped you are the more difficult it's going to be. For that exact rust spot in the picture I would cut that section out of a parts car and seam weld it in past the rusted area. You'll need to paint the quarter for it to blend in, which you'll have to pay someone to do since you don't have a paint booth. So to do it properly you'll either need to take some body work classes or pay someone a few grand to do it. You'll need to show an actual picture of the car or at least say what make/model it is for any more info than that.
I've had a Corolla for 7 years now and now I'm looking to upgrade to something less boring. I'm looking for something like:
>around 30-35k
>2dr with decent rear seat room or 4dr
>good handling
>decent mpg/hp
I've tried looking at some newer cars, but they look really shitty and feel too modern.
