I'm looking to buy a sporty sedan or 5 door hatchback.
Automatic or Manual, most sporty trims are in manual in the cheapo segment.
Years: 2010 or newer
I've looked into the fiesta and focus ST but I did not really like how either felt on the test drive.
Fiesta felt faster but the interior was not much for me.
I have not looked at
>Volkswagen Golf GTI
>Chevrolet Sonic RS
>Hyundai Veloster Turbo
>Mini Cooper S
>Fiat 500 Abarth.
I'm not really looking to spend more than 13k.
Certified pre owned as i'll most likely get this from a dealership.
>pic related, no thanks.

Speed3
>>16858364
I love my veloster but not for everyone. And the Rev hang is a bitch.
Most fun I've had was in a golf gti
And stay away from the sonic.
Honestly sounds like you want a speed 3

Get a civic for 3k. 01-05. Spending 13k on an econobox is retarded. You do have more than 3k to your name don't you, poorfag?
Which is better toyota corolla 2006 or Mitsubishi lancer 2010
The lancer got such a drop in is value is amazing and the corolla didn't ? Btw my first car I'm 26
>>16858188
Neither. Get a civic for 3k
>>16858188
Corolla by a long shot
>>16858188
Hands down the Corolla.
t. happy 2006 Corolla owner
soup /o/tto,
I have the opportunity to buy a 2008 Dodge charger police interceptor with the 5.7 hemi and 105,000 miles. It comes with the diablo tuner that my uncle had for his 300c.
The cops ripped the big metal police center console apart to get the light bar and computer shit out, and now the headlights cut on and off over bumps. Expensive fix for a corner shop mechanic? I work 70hr weeks so Im not even gonna try.
Seller is my uncle, price is 5000 bucks. I need another car here soon and Id rather it be something that can roast the tires than a camry or accord.
I test drove it today, harsh ride from the cop suspension, but it shifts firm in every gear, and it didnt blow blue or white smoke on startup. It ticked for about 3 sec on startup then sounded butter smooth.
What do ya think its current value is, and cost to sort the headlights?
$5k is an alright deal. Keep in mind that police cars have zero resale value. Headlights sounds like a ground wire issue. I really wouldn't expect this car to last very long before having problems. If you want a reliable police car, buy a Crown Victoria for $1500
Mc Laren did put a CVT in a formula1 car driven by Nigel Mansell and during the test it was 3 sec a lap faster. Enough to ban it from the sport immediately.
>>16857815
They where banned because they sounded like shit and would kill the sport even quicker than the current turbos are

the v10s need to return to bring a little bit of excitement back to this otherwise boring ass sport

Looking at a 2002 Lexus IS300 on craiglist priced at $4,000.-New front lower ball joints
-fresh oil
-aftermarket exhaust
-touchscreen display
-sunroof
-power everything
-remote start
-heated seats
-leather seats
-HID head lights
-like new tires
-2jz-ge inline 6
-5 speed auto /sport mode
I feel this might be too overpriced. I would apreciate some opinions and what I should pay for the car
>>16857804
Sounds about right if it's at ~160k miles. IS300s can range from $3k to $10k because the low-mileage standard transmission variants are so rare.
>>16857819
Problem is it's 190k miles. Would 3k be an insulting offer?
>>16857804
I would go for it
I got a question, how are the automatic transmissions in these cars? I don't know how to drive manual and I don't have any way to obtain a manual car to learn and I need a car.
Do you prefer sedans or station wagons? I myself would rather pick sedans, because the overall form doesn't look so "chopped off". Plus the aerodynamics are better. However, here in Europe drivers prefer wagons because they are more practical for transporting stuff.
If it has to have 4 doors I'd rather have the extra utility of the space in the back. It's nice being able to carry bikes without a rack or have a comfy place to sleep.

pls delet
>Plus the aerodynamics are better.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but on most vehicles of identical make and model, aren't the station wagons generally more aerodynamic than the sedans due to the long, flat roof compared to the bumpiness of a sedan rear window and trunk?

How do I into minimal car?
There are two parts I want to reduce or minimize:
>easily identifiable brand logo
>car overall appear easily associated with particular model
I am very image conscious, with brand logos people will automatically have some preconceived notion or assocation of that brand and people who wear it. With my fashion, I can wear clothing with absolutely no logos on them. Sure if it is designer someone may know what it is, but only few people.
How do I achieve a similar aesthetic with my car? It isn't a requirement to remove the logo or have a custom build car. I just want one there to be some mystery, where people don't automatically identify it like this:
>prius = slow driver, probably a hippy/lefty
>wrx = vapes and wears a snapback
>caddy = nig or old person
I've thought about getting an older car, or even importing something from Japan that wasn't sold in the US. I haven't completely ruled this out, but I feel I would rather take something more modern.
Wat do?
>>16857707
>caring this much about what other people think
my suggestion is to quit being such a faggot
>>16857714
Let me put it in another way. I am a very observant person, and when I look at other cars I form opinions.
When I look at my own car, I don't want to have all those opinions. So yes, in someway I want to be a special snowflake hipster. If I only cared about average people's opinion, I would just get some badged car.
>>16857733
so you're a judgemental faggot that cares too much about what people think of them.
well guess what. no matter what car you buy, people are gonna think you're a cunt in one way or another.
super car? you're a rich douchebag who thinks he's better than everyone or a trust fund kiddie
JDM import? weeaboo
performance car? boy racer who only wants to do sick skidz
motorbike? faggot that wants to look cool but but actually looks like a retard in his power ranger costume.
wanna know my opinion of you? you're a faggot and should kill yourself. take it to heart as well.
Why do modern cars look so edgy?
Thats what most people like

back to shitposting
because muh image
Cars used to have an image of their own.
Now people lack a personality of their own and seek all their ego in their cars.
>tfw $1500 dui for being pulled over while high
Pot is fucking legal in Denver this is bullshit
>>16857448
That's what you get ya fuckin loser lmao
>>16857448
Having pot may be legal but doing some things while high, like driving, is still illegal. Same as with alcohol.
>>16857448
you should pay a fine for being retarded too
Well, it looks like I'm going to be the proud new owner of some fun.
>>16857390
Don't Rodger yourself.
>>16857400
Wasn't his just a shitty 5 series?
Why buy German when the ATS now comes with manual and MSRP for around 35k?
In my opinion the new gen looks better. The repairs would be cheaper than A4, 3 Series and it's neat that it is a Murican car (never owned one).
Downside is that no manual with AWD.
>>16857387
I'm not a nigger tho
>>16857387
Because it's still a Cadillac no matter how much they want people to think they're BMW

Best form of motorsport, also happens to be the most neglected form of motorsport at the moment.
Pretty intense. It shows what less than 300hp can do with a good driver.

That's the way motorsport has always been in the US at least.
