Why are Arabs fond off Toyota?
>>16860577
they're cheap and were sold second hand from other nations. Fords are now showing up as technicals from US exported nations.
Because its mostly what they have available
>>16860577
They're available and they work
What makes the civic and miata better than the golf?
>>16859843
it is forged by samurais over a volcano, with glorious Nippon steel.
(that is what my dealer told me)
>>16859843
I wouldn't say they're inherently better, but the golf (and all VWs, really) are girls cars, sweety.
>>16859843
>can be had for 3k without shitting the bed and costing you an additional 3k
Desribe the average camry owner.
mundane person with a mundane lifestyle

Hey /o/, Can anyone give any insight as to what brand side skirt is on this car?

>>16859600
Dunno, have you tried doing a reverse image search, Mr closeted?
>>16859619
Its on autotrader, looking to buy and maybe remove them.
What is the point of this car?
>>16859452
Because wagons are superior to cucksovers.

No-one gives a shit. Drag racing is literally just about an engine, tires and a lightweight chassis with downforce. There's 30 year old VL Commodores doing it faster than this.
>>16859303
why do they put the speakers at the front
>someone gets in your car
>they don't compliment it
any one else get angry about this?
Can't say I've ever experienced this.
no because I don't suffer from autism and understand that a good majority of the population do not care about cars, and should they say anything at all about them they are usually uninformed. And at the very least, people have different tastes.
Better than
>Someone knows absolutely nothing about cars
>"Nice car anon! whats it got? the v8? oh yeah my corolla has one too!
The majority of exoensive european sports car owners are just tools with no interest in cars.
I go to the race track and I rarely see more than 1 or 2 high end cars like ferraris and mclarens there.
I go to the twisty mountains on the weekends and I see people on their motorcycles, I see older bmws, I see skylines, evos and wrxs.
Ferraris up there are quote rare.
But when you go to the rich part of town you see these cars all over the place..
If these owners took their cars to tracks or did actual spirited driving with them you woukd see them at tracks regularly but you don't...
They don't buy these cars because they are into cars, they buy them to show wealth...
I almost think cars like ferraris deserve better.
1. incorrect
2. Which race track? In rural areas nobody has enough money to own these cars, and if they do they are probably afraid to drive them. In wealthy areas there are plenty of Ferrari private track days so owners don't have to go out on the track with $5k E30s that can't drive
3. In a wealthy area or a poor area? The local Ferrari group in my area typically sets out at 6am meeting for breakfast at 9am, so you wouldn't see them too often after those hours on the weekend
Does every Ferrari driver hammer their car all the time? Of course not. Easily more than 50% do spirited driving on the weekend and maybe 10% get track time (with some of those being track only Challenge cars)
>>16859083
There is only two tracks in the city.
Neither of them you see ferrari at.
Mpst ferrari club people have older cheaper models like ones from the 80's or 360 spiders.
>>16859149
You didn't specify where you live, sounds like it's not in a wealthy area which would explain what you think you are seeing (and not seeing)
I got 8.5k to spend on a car to commute 30-45 min with to college. What do I buy?
>>16858951
civic for 3k.
Literally just get a civic for 3k. No point in spending that much for a car that you're driving to college with, it'll just get trashed
>>16858951
RX-7
Or a bike
or a foxbody
Used leaf?
Me and a friend were theory crafting ways to boost horse power. We had the curious notion to add sodium hydroxide to the fuel. The intent being to enhance combustion and increase fuel efficiencies. Anyone have experience with this?
>>16858937
NaOH is not soluble in gasoline. It is soluble in ethanol, but ethanol is already an oxygenated fuel. Furthermore, according to
https://pubchem.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/compound/sodium_hydroxide
NaOH is not combustible (even if it were, what happens to the Na2O? I can't think combusted metals won't cause problems with a cat). Really bad idea.
Also, would there be practical use for WD-40 for the transmission.
>>16859042
Yeah, I told my friend my guess would be it'd make caustic precipitates. He had the notion based on the hydrocarbons breaking down during combustion. With ethanol mixed in, would there be room for it or is it already too saturated?
I suppose bicarbonate would likely form, yeah this sounds worse the more I contemplate it.
Why does /o/ hate the Toyota 86 but praises the Civic and Miata?
because vaccines cause autism
they can't afford it
>>16858904
Because it's not old enough to be poorfag accessible
If you had 2-5k to spend on any car what would you purchase?

>>16858857
If thats the only money you had, your BMW would last at the most 8 months before getting problems. With that budget you wont be able to afford service and repairs you cuck. Get a job and put more in your savings first dumbass.
Open your garage right now and take a picture.
>>16858762

Well LS430 of course. It's 30 mores
I'd go for the LS430.
It's not as good looking but a more modern interior matters to me.
