I was for a bit but even having make up on my face and being in girls clothes I got called sir, last time I presented all I got were people trying to fight me or people yelling shit to me because I don't look anything like a woman so I just gave up trying recentlt honestly. I'm sorry about this part. I don't understand why other trans people insist on not getting that other people's sexual orientations are legitimate. If you're dating someone monosexual, it makes no sense to hold it against them for dumping you if you transition.

I did date someone briefly who deliberately concealed his own conflicted gender issues (not willing to transition, but hiding a huge fem streak and desire to basically "play girl" while alone) until we were several weeks in and then sprung it on me. I wasn't too pleased, because I did not intend to date a really fem guy - MY being trans didn't magically make that not matter to me, either. (I am actually bi, so this was less of an issue than it would have been otherwise. But I was specifically attracted to his more masculine aspects, so having him suddenly go, "SURPRISE DRAG" was not pleasant.)

I only date bi people (preferably those who have a dating history that includes trans people) myself so I avoid this kind of issue with them being wigged by my transition or only attracted to the sex I don't want to be.

You don't have to class yourself as being fully heterosexual or homosexual, the way I see it we are all attracted to certain attributes and characteristics rather than just someone's sex/gender.

If you only are attracted to dicks then I would say that strictly you are heterosexual just with a preference for effeminate men, if you are attracted to vaginas at all too then you are bisexual. Try not to get bogged down by the labels though, ultimately they can be unhelpful and not a great description of sexualities

Humans are kinda mid-range when it comes to sexual dimorphism. Our males and females don't look exactly the same like parrots, but they're not crazy disproportionate to one another like pheasants or pinnipeds. If we were more like the former, transsexualism would never be a problem. If we were more like the latter, it would never be possible in the first place. We're at just the right balance between male and female traits that transitioning could come up in our societies in the first place.
