I want more posts like this on this board
Wow Cokeman has a gf and I don't?
So I've seen plenty of videos and YouTube gun channels where people are always saying that we need to support our local gun shops to improve the gun community. I would be all for it if my local gun shops we're reasonably priced. Most of these places here in Houston in my opinion seem like they try to take advantage of people that don't know much about firearms. This is why I always end up ordering online or going to a big box stores like Academy. How are the gun shops like in your community? Do you support your local gun shops?
Pic very related. Carter's Country gun range and shop.

Wow, that lighting almost makes Glocks look like nice guns.
>>34386844
my local shop is run by fudds who claim ARs are illegal
Why would I support them?

You can tell every one there is not Jewish. The sound of spent casing hitting the floor would of made the Jews look, in hopes of finding shekels.
So I bought my first fun.
It's from 1991 and shoots great, bought it from an army colonel that put very few rounds through it.
It's also the only one with that finish that I've ever seen here.
The problem is that it only came with the one original 12 rd magazine. Continued...
Also don't taurus meme me.
I live in Brazil and that's the best I could find. It has better finish and reputation than the newer ones.
Continuing the story: I could only find the 19 rounds mags from the newer models. Nobody had the old 12 round.
Look how silly it looks.

So I'm finally getting the hell out of NJ and going to work in Oklahoma. Our car will be too packed (toddler, dog) to fit my guns in it. Any experience with professional movers and guns? Any recommendations for how to box and package my guns? I was also going to take pictures and record serial numbers for all my firearms too.
move them yourself or be all right with them being stolen, lost, or damaged. Strap them securely in innocuous cases to the roof of your car. Rent a trailer. Rent 15 seater from Uhaul and drive separate. Fly your wife and kid to OK separately and use the extra space. For the love of guns, don't trust strangers with your firearms.
T. Anon who has had shit lost and stolen during moves by movers
Get a gun vault/safe if you have anyone else move them. Load it in the truck first before movers get there, cover it up real good.
99% of moving companies will not move guns or ammo. Put them in your car, well out of reach, sight, and access.
You can get away with empty magazines, just don't tell them what they are; they're books once they enter a sealed box and belong in the office.
We're they great warriors indeed or is it just new age memetics?
The War Nerd had a good take on them: https://forum.rpg.net/archive/index.php/t-319163.html

They had a good strategy for the time (phalanx) and the romans made it better. But artillery made it useless.
>>34400764
They were great for their time, but you have to consider that spartans actually trained and practiced their entire lives, while keeping slave populations to do things like agricultural work.
Comparable greek states like Athens only had town militias that were raised in times of war.
The phalanx formation that they fought in also relied heavily on unit cohesion; a ragtag group of citizens obviously got outclassed by a group of men who trained and lived as a unit.
Now fuck off back to >>>/his/ where this belongs.
Can someone explain to me why unit numbers in the military aren't in order and consecutive?
For example, US Army has 10th Mountain Divison. Where is 1st-9th Mountain Divison? And don't say deactivated, there never was a 7th Mountain Divison. Why skip to 10?
Another example, you have 101st Airborne, but no 100th or 102nd?
Are you 12 years old?
>>34400373
this question would be better answered with google or perhaps ask reddit
>>34400373
Maintaining history. Divisions and lower echelon units get disbanded during peacetime, but throughout its history the U.S. has had ~100 distinct divisions in federal service. Those that stick around keep their designation and aren't re-numbered.
CONGRATULATIONS!
Your merry band of /k/ artists have successfully conquered a small island nation. In a twist of fate, that nation was incredibly antagonistic towards the United States, so the US has officially recognized the new government.
There's trouble, however. A regional coalition is building against you. Luckily, the US is here to help. They're offering the following
10000 Vietnam era M-16s
-or-
5 M60 Pattons
AND
3 Ticonderoga-class cruisers
-or-
the Iowa
The coalition building up against you is small, but they have some soviet era tech. You already have a standing army of fellow /k/ommandos, who brought their own arms.
Coalition force: 7000 personnel
Your force: 4500 personnel
Choose wisely. Your young nation depends on it!
>>34399721
10000 m16 for 4500 troops? why? so you can give one to captured enemy too?
>>34399721
What are my Ticonderoga cruisers equipped with? Cruise missiles along with STA? Do we also have the anti-submarine capability?
Does the enemy have a navy? Air power? What sort of armored vehicles?

Why does .22LR even exist?
What purpose does it server if 5.56 NATO exists?
Is .22LR even lethal? It looks like glorified BB gun ammo
>>34399509
No it's not lethal, basically a glorified pellet rifle. If you don't believe me, have someone shoot you in the head with a 10/22.
